      This Bank has policies that need revised and updated and clear for customers and potential customers to understand. I applied for a savings account but it wasnt opened due to a secure lock I placed on my credit report. Discover bank called to verify it was me who really applied for their high yield online savings account. I was not comfortable giving such private personal information out over the phone so the banker closed my savings applications before the account was opened. Two years later most recently I attempted to reapply for their high yield savings account now that my credit lock is free and did not qualify as discover considered Me an existing customer even though my application was held up and my account never opened two years ago, discover bank went ahead for the following six months after the discover banks personal banker said they would close out my application discover bank kept the application on file and showed the account having been officially opened, but dormant for six whole months before closing it: what a bank full of liars, cheats and thieves.

      Discover student loans had a security breach at a payment processing center. I consolidated my loan with a new company on 6/17/22 a check was sent for my loans in full to this breached P.O box in ********. Instead of telling me this when I first called to tell them this payment was en route days before my due date of the 23rd, they said it will be 10 days of processing time including shipping. A DAY after my payment was due they began calling me harrassing me for payment. I'd tell them the check was on way. Days later they're calling, tell them again. At around the 12 day **** I began getting calls several times a day. They began telling me the check is not at discover, and I need to send a new one. New bank says "no they are doing this to everyone right now and taking a month plus to process." Meanwhile I am getting emails, my MOM is getting calls and emails. Voicemails. DAILY.They withheld this information of the ** box breach while they harassed me to pay my bill for two months. Finally got to talk to someone new after TWO MONTHS of talking to people. HAD TO PUT THE LOAN INTO FORBEARANCE OVER THIS. Two months of interest. The entire time someone could have been transparent and instead they continuously told me this problem was my fault. They get copies of the original checks dated for 6/17/22 from my new bank saying they will process and back date ASAP. Two weeks pass, I call and threaten to put in BBB complaint. They cash them, saying the delay was over a big project. Told me I should be relieved that this is all fixed. Are we serious? Gets better, they cashed the checks and back dated them to the incorrect date. 6/20/22. Called about this, to be told "But you still have a refund coming back!" I want the actual refund I am owed. Not three extra days of interest. Save yourself from the peril of using this company. They are deceitful, sloppy in "fixing" mistakes, and will do anything they can to deny responsibility. Never using them again.

      There has been a breach and Discover Bank and they're not admitting it. My account was compromised by an individual attaching a cell account. I do not have paper statements or write checks there is no way for them to get my account number except for through ********************** itself. There are refusing to admit that there is a breach there is. My accounts are now all messed up my paycheck did not go into my account I lost a check because I did a mobile deposit and then they change my account number. I am out 264 because they ****** up. Do not use Discover Bank take your money out now!

      Horrible customer service. Got approved and they sent me a card. Immediately after activation they put a "security hold" on my card and my first attempt to use it was declined. I called them and they demanded I sign an IRS consent form giving Equifax access to my tax returns for the last 2 years. I cancelled card immediately as there was no way I was giving the company with the worst data security record in the industry access to my tax returns. Even after I cancelled, they continued to send emails about signing this form. I have had **************** and **** cards for over 30 years and have never had this kind of awful experience. I have excellent credit history, own a home and make well into six figures.

      I applied for a discover credit card as a college student in 2012 to begin building my credit and had absolutely no problems till last year. I had opened a second account for my side business, which was put on hold during the pandemic. I accidentally used this card to pay for $20 worth of gas, thinking I had used my personal card instead of the business card. Since I hadn't used my business account for over a year because of the pandemic, I was not checking the account regularly.Long story short, I missed one payment of $20 in my 9 years of using Discover and they decided it was appropriate to close BOTH my personal and business accounts and put a derogatory **** on my credit. This collectively tanking my credit score over 80 points at the time my wife and I were looking to buy our first house.No call, only a piece of mail informing me they would be closing both my accounts(dated on my birthday). When calling customer service they wouldn't even connect me to anyone to ask about options for the situation. I was told there was nothing I could do.Thanks for the loyalty and great customer service, **********************. You better believe I will encourage anyone and everyone I interact with to never use any of your services ever.

      Discover Card works with the merchants and not their own customers! I ordered a gazebo from Amazon and it never came. It was a pricey item. I entered a dispute to get my money back. Discover took a 100. restocking fee from me and gave it to the seller! Nowhere was that even part of order cancelling. As far as I'm concerned, they steal! Do not trust Discover card!

      I am extremely disappointed in discover. Discover decreased my credit limit by **** which caused a decrease of my credit score. I did not receive a letter with this notification prior to the decrease or after. This is a dis service to a customer who has never been late or missed a payment. Discover did not consider what effect this would have on my score and unfairly affecting it. For years I have worked to get over 750 score and this was hard to accomplish but after this 28 point decrease, I am back to trying to rebuild that. Plan to pay off my Discover card as soon as possible and sever the relationship.

      They closed my account WITH NO REASON and then told me I had to wait 60 days for them to mail me a check!!! Never in life have I had this happen to me with a bank! I thought me going to discover bank would be a good experience! Initiallly I only had direct deposit for $50 then the moment I increased it thats when they closed my account. They dont tell you anything on why only that you have to wait until you get a letter in the mail!

      I lived in Ga., RE-MARRIED, moved to ******* and am staying w my new in-laws while my husband and I build a house. I, nor my ex-husband (fake name-***************************) had credit cards or applied for them. We are friends and can talk. Well, **** is continually getting credit card applications here at my in-laws and they have NEVER had ANY kind of association or even knew of each other! He also lives in Ga. Ive called DISCOVER several times complaining, but they are too INCOMPITENT to stop the awkward and uncomfortable credit card application junk mail. If they can't help with something like this, I certainly wouldn't trust them with my money!! Not to mention the amount of waste they make. Ive been here since December 2021 and haven't received any type of junk mail at all. My in-laws get ****** at ME every time they see his junk mail come in! This needs to stop!I presently have 17 of them. I don't know how many have been thrown away.

      Discriminatory, insulting practices. Been a customer of student ********************** IT for over 3 years. Initially I started out with a $500 limit and 3 years later, ended with a $500 limit. I faithfully made payments on time, early, and in full to Discover. I make over $80K a year after bonuses and my CLI get denied. The cherry on top was when I paid my **** early and in full (once again) and they put my payment on hold for review. Once they reviewed my account I requested cancelling of the credit line. Being a member of Discover is insulting and they're discriminatory practices are disgusting.
