Less than 1 star.I had a credit card through discover for the longest time, and when I enlisted in the military, not only did they decline my SCRA benefits, but they closed my account due to delinquent accounts, when I currently have no delinquent accounts. Never again will I bank with these thieves who made hundreds (maybe even thousands) off of me while also charging me more when I asked for **** benefits.

Discover stole over $1,500 from me and wants to steal more. I made a $1,500 payment on my credit card in late February to reduce my balance below my credit limit so I could use my card again. This lowered my balance to around $60, which means my available credit limit should be roughly $1,440. Not so! Discover says my available limit is actually $0! So my money wasn't good enough to pay off my debt, but it was good enough to keep? They told me that my account would be reviewed on the 6th and I would be updated with the results of that review. Not so! It either wasn't reviewed or I wasn't told the results of the review, because now in early March my available limit is still showing $0 and I have no new letters or messages from Discover. They claim they sent a letter in October, but I never received said letter, something I have told them multiple times in my attempts to get this figured out, but they have conveniently ignored time and time again. Now I'm terrified to pay the remaining balance in case they use that as an excuse to fully shut off the card and abscond with over $1,600 of my money and leave me high and dry with truly no way to afford food. As it stands now I cannot afford food or clothes or gas as all of the money I make working has to go into rent and car insurance and car payments. When I starve to death, my blood will be on Discover's hands. I'm leaving this review everywhere I can find (notably I can find no way to actually leave a review on their site, just read the 5 star ones others have left, suspicious) to hopefully bring attention to the fact that Discover STOLE $1,500 and pressure them into either giving me my money back or unlocking my account.

Discover card is not customer oriented, is disrespectful and condescending in trying to settle dispute. When addressing the customer, they add "Miss" to your first name, making the customer sound like a diva or a ******, not sure which. A proper address would be appreciated. **** off, Discover!

The most unhelpful bank I've ever had the displeasure of working with. All I wanted to do was open a joint account. They have no way to do that. I could only open an individual account and then add a joint owner to it. Fine. Except their process to add a joint owner does not work! Seven times I tried, on different accounts, on the website and the app, different browsers. Nothing worked. And every time they locked my account. The only alternative is a PAPER form. They sell it as a digital form, but it requires a wet signature. So you have to print it. Who has a printer in 2025? For a bank with no actual branches, they are incredibly inept at digital banking. Two weeks later I'm still waiting for this paper form to be processed.

I as a Black Man in ******* I should not have to be denied access to my money soley based on my skin. I had problems with this card since day one. First my card gets turned off because I did not put money in on time. Well they did not send my card for 30 days the first time and I had to ask for a new one. Got the new one and tried to transfer money into the account and it took over 10 days for that money to hit my account. Now i try to load money on my card and I get denied because my account has been restricted. This Happen the first time I loaded money on to it in person. Now I can not load once they found out that I am a black man, they closed my account

Title: Dont Use Discover If You Want To Withdraw More than $500 Cash I trimmed this down to stay within the 2000 character limit for BBB, but could have said much more. Below is chat experience, judge for yourself: Discover: Welcome to messaging. How can we help? Me: Are there any banks near me where I can withdraw $5000? Discover (Bot): Daily *** withdrawal limit is $510... Click here for our *** Locator. Me: Can I chat with a real person? Discover: Transferring you to an agent. Discover (Agent): Hello! My name is ****. How may I help you? Me: Can you help with my request? Discover: Please allow me a moment to review! Me: By "banks," I mean any face-to-face location, including credit unions, that handle Discover withdrawals. The Discover website says: "Withdraw cash at a face-to-face location..." Discover: The daily *** limit is $2,500 (increases to $5,000 after 30 days). The *** limit is $510... If you use an *** not owned by Discover, limits may vary. Me: I can work with the *** limit if I can find locations. Can you help? My home zip is XXXXX, and my work zip is XXXXX. Discover: Upon review, we do not offer that option. If another bank allows a withdrawal, it's up to them. Since this is not a Discover feature, I can't assist in locating one. Apologies. Me: Wait, I just showed you what your help site says! So Discover provides no support, and I have no way to know if this is possible? Discover: I can submit feedback. Apologies. Me: Is there a supervisor? Discover: Checking... My supervisor is in a meeting. Please call 1-XXX-XXX-XXXX (BBB does not allow phone numbers). Me: Ok. Unfortunately, I have to post about this online.Discover Website Feedback (1-Star):Horrible. The agent had no idea how to help me and could not get me to a supervisor (who was "in a meeting").

Discover is very poor at customers serve in disputes. Getting it resolved is tiresome with Discover. Might as well be talking to a robot. Been a loyal card holder for some time. It's really sad that businesses are becoming this way. Too much greed and no more taking care of consumers. I miss my old days.
