      Discover Card Services fully took advantage of my 19-year-old son. He signed up for Discover Card to build his credit. He was approved. In the first month of his card use, his card was shut off for verification. He went to the bank, followed the verification procedure and turned the document in. After doing this, he followed with Discover several times to see when the verification process would be completed, and he could use his card again. He stopped calling because he was told it would take time and Discover had to call the bank. He then received notification that the card was shut off. Discover has been difficult to work with. Payment options online were shut off. This has been a horrible experience for him. Do not use Discover!

      Since becoming a customer I have had bad experiences with transactions being declined when theres more than enough funds in the account. These transactions were going through and then one day they started declining them with no reason but due to security purposes which made it embarrassing moments to have your card declined with no good reason. I highly dont not recommend. **************** advertises open 24/7 except supervisors arent available 24/7 so thats false advertising on a recorded line.

      They employ dark patterns to prevent customers from retrieving funds out of a CD. Renewing one is easy and automatic, but it is actually impossible to withdraw funds on the website so you have to call them on the phone, talk to a robot, be connected to a person, go over everything again, give them permission to text you, and receive a text confirmation, just to get the money that already belongs to you.

      On December 16, 2024, I applied for a Discover credit card, and my application was approved with a $3,000 credit limit. Shortly after, on December 19, my account was frozen due to a request for a three-month bank statement. However, as a recent immigrant who has been in the **** for only two months, it was impossible for me to provide the requested documents.I submitted a two-month bank statement, notarized at my own expense, and regularly followed up with your team to confirm receipt. Weeks later, I was informed that this documentation was insufficient and that I must provide a full three-month statement by January 30, 2025. I explained that a full statement would only be available in February due to the timing of my account opening, but my situation was ********** comply, I waited until January 8 to provide the third statement, again notarized, only to be told it still did not meet your requirements. This is deeply frustrating, as your team is demanding documents that are impossible to provide given the timeline of my bank accounts creation.Despite offering alternative solutions, such as converting the account to a secured card or reducing the credit limit, I was informed that this was not an option. Additionally, I was warned that closing the account could negatively affect my credit historyan issue entirely caused by your unreasonable policies.I am requesting:1.An immediate review of my case and a resolution that does not harm my credit score.2.A reevaluation of your internal policies to prevent similar situations from occurring in the future.If no resolution is reached, I intend to escalate this issue further.Sincerely,********* Kolomiichenko

      I am attempting to do business with Discover loan department. Every step of the way has been nothing but a total lack of customer service. Calls not returned, contradiction in information or lack of knowledge on a specific subject matter, inability to speak with someone who can help rather than say 'sorry for anyn inconvenience. Stay away from Discover at all costs. Absolutely the worst 'banking institution'.

      Discover Bank has cost me to lose 500$ worth of fish! A shark and 7 African cichlids! I bought from one pet shop anticipating that Ill be able to go to another pet shop and purchase the correct tank! Boy was I wrong! I went to activate my new card and I received an error message. Called customer service and they advised me that the card was defective and that Ill have to wait for a phone call by Monday from a specialised team. Monday rolls around no phone call. So I called on Tuesday spoke to 3 **** who all tried to tell me it was the *********** could fix it! Finally I got to a supervisor because they were giving me any story! and Ill have to wait 7days for another card! Finally get the card and low and behold its defective. At this point Ive spoken to about 5different **** that has told me my card is defective! At this point I know it not the card its the account. The supervisor insisted on sending me a new card which he didnt verify my address for to **********. So now I have a card in ******* that I didnt ask to be sent! I have not been able to access my money because the cards that discover is constantly sending will not allow activation! I live in the **** and have a P.O. Box not a physical address this will be the 3rd card waiting 7 days for each card! I just get a card today and guess what?!?! I cant activate it! I have to wait 7more days! And no money to my name! And a waisted 500$ While they have $1,100 of my money thats been setting in my account for a month!

      Terrible ******************** Watch out they protected a seller on **** that sold me a mantle clock that doesnt fit the description doesnt keep time, doesnt ring on the hours and winding mechanisms arent all working to wind matter of fact over wound.Clock is useless..

      I kept getting calls from this bank and had no idea what they were talking about as I have no opened up a card with them, I simply asked them to send me documentation of any proof that it was me. They would call me 15 times a day trying to collect their “ debt” I was also told I will be taken to jail if I don’t not pay. Fast forward a year later and I’m being sued in small claims court. I would never want to deal with this bank.
