Im extremely disappointed with my recent experience applying for the Discover It credit card. Despite having:A FICO score of 810+,No late payments or derogatory marks,And receiving multiple pre-qualified offers from Discover over the years,my application was denied. The reasons stated for the denial were:"Number of times utilization decreased on bank revolving accounts.Insufficient balance decrease on credit card accounts."These reasons dont accurately reflect my financial situation. I pay off all my credit cards weekly, keeping my balances at or near $0. How can I reduce balances that are already zero? When I called Discover to request clarification, the explanations provided were vague and unhelpful. Its frustrating to see such poor decision-making and a lack of professionalism from ******* make matters worse, they refused to reconsider my application or remove the hard inquiry that unfairly impacted my credit score. I applied in good faith based on Discovers repeated pre-qualified offers, but this experience has left me feeling misled and penalized for being a responsible borrower. I hope Discover reconsiders how it handles applications and treats potential customers in the future.

Discover offered me some balance transfer checks, so I took advantage of the offer, I wrote two checks, verifying first that I had sufficient credit available, I wrote the checks the same day to the same bank (***** Fargo), and while discover accepted the first check, they declined the second check, on the same day. Then , when I called customer service, they tried to offer me worse terms to make it right??? No wonder ***** went out of business, looks like these yahoos are probably next, unless someone steps in and fixes their issues. They wouldnt even offer to let my bank know that it wasnt my fault. Just terrible

I think it's been more than a personal experience with *** and downs. Most of the distant experiences are good but if they have recently been showing more signs of discrimination, then using common sense, it's time to report and investigate. My checks have been deposited in more than two days due to inconvenience. I should not have to talk to them every two weeks because of their own company issues. They have a problem with peace, Ma' am or ****

I had a financial hardship. I couldnt make my payments to Discover. I have been harassed at my home by people trying to serve me with a lawsuit almost point of calling the police. They have gone to the leasing office to humiliate me more. I am with National Debt Relief and can barely afford the payments. National Debt Relief could not include Discover because of the lawsuit. I tried to negotiate over phone with Discover and they want $500 a month until $10000 is satisfied. The trial date is for January 27, 2025. I never thought I would have to live in fear because of a credit cared company. I cant afford $500 a month.

DISCOVER withdrew $800 from my account for a secured credit card. THEN, AFTER THAT FACT, I was informed that they had placed a hold on MY MONEY until I submitted an *** form. It was made clear that if I did not submit the *** form my account would be closed and reported to the credit bureaus. (That, of course, would accomplish the very opposite of what I had planned to do by opening the account--i.e., it would lower my credit score!!) I contacted them and asked for the return of my $800. Even though I have NEVER SEEN THE CREDIT CARD, much less activated and used it, I was told I will not receive my $800 until after 3 billing cycles. So, this company had NO PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY withdrawing my $800, but they clearly have a problem immediately refunding my $800!!!WOW!!!! WHAT DISRESPECT!!!!! They get my $800; tell me about a form I should been informed about BEFORE I submitted my application; placed a hold on MY MONEY BEFORE I EVEN RECEIVED THE CARD; and when I decide I no longer want anything to do with them, they refuse to refund my $800 in a timely fashion. The thing I discovered about DISCOVER is TO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!!!O STAR RATING!!!

Discover Card treated me shamefully after the death of my wife. Before you imagine otherwise, there was no unpaid balance on the account, and I was still treated like trash and a criminal.

They bait you into thinking you can get a loan and qualify for something specific, then you end up getting tons of requests for things at the last step to find out you cant qualify or apply. Quite a waste of time and misleading. 800+ credit score, and simply sick of dealing with their issues.. On another note, the *** was extremely kind and tried to help.
