      We had been customers of Modern waste for over 12 years. They were great!! LRS took over and we have had nothing but horrible service. The dumpster does not get dumper more than it does get dumped. When I call, the ladys that answer are horribly rude. I was given Heathers number to call her directly and even when i leave a message she never calls back. ****** answered the phone today and when i explained that we did not get dumped yesterday, she gave me some lame excuse that we were scheduled for last week not this week and we did not get dumped on the 25th because of road conditions so we now have to wait until our next scheduled day. I explained that the 25th was not our day to be picked up and she got snippy and said "I am just giving you the facts". I asked to please speak with a manager and she hung up. When I called Wednesday morning to tell them it had not been dumped yet that lady told me I was on the schedule for today ( wednesday) but I cannot call it a missed until the end of day. End of day came I called to let them know it still had not been dumped. The lady answered after I sat on hold for 10 minutes and then said "let me get you to the right department" she hung up. All in all I called 4 times Wednesday left two messages and got hung up on twice. Called Thursday morning ****** told me I was given wrong information then hung up. I Spoke to ***************************** a few weeks ago and he was actually great. He got the ball moving at the beginning of the month but that was the only time we got dumped in January ****. If I could leave 500 negative starts that is what I would give.

      If you have a condo building where you have opportunity to change your garbage and/or recycling service, I highly reccomend getting a quote from LRS. Our 19 unit building in ******* (Northside) had Waste Management, who we had to PAY to cancel our contract, it was worth every *****. Our fees were lowered to more than 1/2 and we were able to request overages like large items not be picked up or charged without our approval (we live near the end of an alley where things are dumped). Even after about 5 years of switching, they still are willing to negotiate and lower fees. I cant recommend them enough. No hidden fees, no random increases, its worth your time and effort to switch.

      I have never experienced such poor customer service. I was given misinformation about a rescheduled pick up due to missing 2 weeks in a row due to weather. When I inquired about an extra pick up I was told to leave all my extra trash next to can and they would be by later in the afternoon to pick up. Never happened, spent the whole next morning cleaning up trash the raccoons tore thru. I called that day and had someone tell me my trash was picked up even though I was starting at it. Im so concerned that this is one of the worst companies I am stuck with in my over 20 years working with sub contractors and sanitation and there are so many more customers taken advantage of! Im completely dumbfounded how this company has an A+ rating.

      We apologize for any inconvenience working with us while we worked to keep our drivers safe and arranged recovery service for our customers. Once roads were manageable, our recovery plan included collecting extra trash but it seems the wildlife arrived before we did and that's never a great situation. We appreciate the customer letting us know what's not working so that we can improve and ensure a better experience for them next time.

      Very poor trash service and even worse customer service. After weeks of not having my trash picked up and my can overflowing, I decided to call and find out why. Had we not had a death in the family this would have noticed this sooner. It was after hours when I made my first call, so I left a message. At nearly noon the next day, I still had not received a call back. I had to call again to speak with someone. The wait time for customer service was not long, so call volume did not prevent the call back. The person I spoke to was extremely rude and dismissive of my concerns. I explained the situation and told her my trash hasn't been picked up for weeks. She told me that my trash had been picked up the week prior and I told her once again it had not and that it needed corrected. Her response to me was that she doesn't have control over the drivers. She then said that pickups have been delayed by a day because of the weather. I asked why customers were not notified. In a snotty tone, she said they can't predict the weather. She said this several time. I told that this could have been done via email when the decision was made. She again said that she can't predict the weather. At this point I asked for a manager. She went silent. I said "hello" to which she replied "I'm still here". I again asked for her manager. She said she could transfer me but he's not there. I asked for his name. Without saying anything more, she transferred me to a voicemail at extension *****. I have no idea who's it was or if it was even a manager because the greeting only gave the extension. In all the years with Michiana Trash, this was NEVER the service I received. They shouldn't have sold to LRS. I shouldn't have to call to find out that the service level expectation promised by this business was not going to be met and I most certainly should not be treated this way as a long time customer in good standing.

      Horrible service and price gouging, LRS did not pick up my Christmas tree per the contract with the city that I live in-I have called them and emailed them multiiple times asking them to come and pick up the tree-it is a safety hazard out by the curb-LRS claims that one of their core values is safety-not true at all-they left my tree, people have to walk off the curb, into the street to get around it, --they finally responded after the two week free pickup timeframe expired and told me that they would pick it up if I put a sticker on it.

      Lakeshore Recycling Systems (LRS) recently took over Modern Waste and it's been a total disaster. Our normal pick up day is Monday and it rarely gets picked up on time causing us to leave the trash barrel out for days where animals get at the trash. Trash from Jan 8th week was to be picked up on Jan 15/16...didn't show. They told us it would be picked up Jan 22....didn't show now our trash is seriously over flowing. Called and they said it would be another week( Jan 29th) before they could pick up!!!!!Seriously! It will be 3 weeks without trash pick up. They apologize stating weather, truck issues, ice.... We never had issue before with Modern Waste. Unfortunately we have no other trash collector options. LRS should be fired! Awful service. Their customer service person said we could load the trash in our car and bring it to them to take...??? WHAT? That's what we pay LRS for.

      Since you didn't pick up our service on January 19th due to the weather but can come the following day But yet you will still charge ** for that week. So all of us people that don't overload our garbage. That don't even fill a garbage can per week. Still get charged, just think about all the people who are being charged. So it's money in your pocket while we still have to go to work in the weather why is it that hard to credit a week especially the seniors and ignorant customer service!!!!

      The worst decision to rent with them, they are thieves, they charged me more than **** dollars by mistake according to them, I spent 3 months fighting with them and they still haven't returned my money.
