The travel trailer (tt from here on out) was taken to dealership in July 2023 for work covered by manufacturer warranty. Work was not completed due to the vendors refusing to repair defective parts or sending wrong parts. The tt has additional water damage from employees not working in a dry environment. They exposed the tt to rain while the entire front of unit was opened.

We purchased a 2023 Timberwolf (Cherokee) 39SRBL destination trailer (VIN #*****************) on 2/18/2023 from ****************************************** in ***********, ************ for $74,475.00.We experienced several issues with the trailer during our first camping season with it, but this complaint centers around the air conditioning system, consisting of two ****** BTU units - also described by Forest River as the "dual, supersized air conditioning unit with quick cool air dump feature". According to HVAC resources online, ****** BTUs should be more than sufficient to cool the 40' RV but as soon as the weather turned warm this past summer, we quickly noticed that the air conditioning was not cooling the unit. Camping in northwestern ****, it is not uncommon to see temperatures in the 90s and 100s, so air conditioning is very important to our comfort in the *** Our observations included an overall lack of cooling of the ambient temperature of the unit with wildly inaccurate temperature readings on the thermostats. We'll include more specifics in the attachment. We contacted ******** and they dispatched a mobile tech multiple times, but he could not improve the issue. Over the several months that followed, they stated they were investigating the issue with Forest River and Furrion (A/C mfr) but with no results. We tried contacting ******* directly, and also got no solutions. In our more recent contact with Forest River, we communicated with Cherokee Division Owner Relations and I provided a thorough explanation of the issues. The representative's initial response was simply "take it to a dealer". When I explained that we've already worked with our dealer, they've sent mobile service, and they cannot fix the issue, her response was "fill out this form for mobile service". She offered no additional help or suggestions whatsoever. We need a resolution and cannot accept "tough break" as a conclusion. Whether that means repairs or full RV replacement, we are open to all options.

I purchased a new forest river travel trailer on 08/08/2023 from camping world. After several days my wife and I seen a gap in the shower stall between the base and surround. A few weeks later we went on our first trip with the camper. That eve I took a shower and noticed the water in that corner would not drain. I contacted Camping World and was told to bring it in and got an appointment from there service department. On 12/07/2023 I took it in for inspection. The service manager stated the the shower base was not installed properly and needed to provide new support and leveling and was advised not to use shower because water could leak and cause damage. They turned in a warranty claim to forest river and several days later and received an answer from FR that claim was denied and was installed as designed and there was a lip on base to prevent water damage. Due to the gap there is less than a 1/4 in of lip to prevent water damage. I contacted FR again and still said no that it was installed as designed. I talked to several other people about this and was told that it was substandard workmanship and need repair.

The slide mechanism broke due to faulty installation after one use. The entire slide was installed crooked and with little structure leading to the failure. The dealer and the manufacturer are at odds as the manufacturer does not want to cover the items that the dealer wants to do to ensure the issue does not happen again. The issue is very well known and documented by many. The unit has been in the shop for a month now waiting on the manufacturer to approve the repairs. Reaching the manufacturer by email or phone is very difficult.

This is in regards to my Recreational Vehicle manufacturer's warranty. While on vacation from my ******* home at ******************************************************************** here at **************** at *********************************************************************************** I began to have a leaking bedroom pullout in my Recreational Vehicle that was a manufacturer defect around October 23, 2023. I emailed East To West (***************************** Owner Relations Representative) and with her assistance I went with a local company called ********************* Repair located at *************************************************************************************** to get repair work done. Shoreline was able to get approval for this work from East To West (Forest River) and came out to do repairs however, the leak continued and while in the process of getting help on this issue I discovered multiple other manufacturer defects with my RV. I worked with Shoreline, an individual named *****, to submit detailed photos along with descriptions of the problems to the manufacturer. I have multiple emails to back this. After Shoreline submitted the information to the manufacturer I recieved a phone call from ***** saying that the manufacturer denied approval with no explaination. I reached out various times at this point to ***************************** at East To West to get further information and assistance in getting my warranty claim processed. ****** acknowledged that Forest River recieved the claim. I was also promised by ****** that she would have my claim reviewed for further assistance and that she "noted" that I have been trying to get all of this done before my expiration date. She put me in touch via email with her manager *****. Last week ***** promised via email that she would provide me with this information from Shoreline and Forest River "ASAP" as we both knew that my deadline for my warranty was drawing to a close. My warranty has now expired as of the 6th of December (I was mistakenly told the 8th by Shoreline). I have not recieved a response from ***** or ******.

Purchase Entrada **** 6/10/2023. Took it on a trip 1st week after Purchase. Found multiple inefficiencies and returned it to dealer who had repaired some but not all upon pickup. Since that time, all has gone ok. It is now December and I took to dealer at FR directive after I could get very little information from FR as to help correcting a safety and liability issue in regards to the ******* auto level system possibly deploying while parked, driving off or traveling down the highway. So far I have talked and video with *******, mfg, of controller but have not been able to resolve this matter. I have also given Forest River many emails but they refuse any interaction with techs, only sales and parts people. ***************** serial number of my unit. It is at dealer now who states they are waiting email for instructions or how to proceed or repair. I have slideout controller board for towable unit, mine unit is motorized, **** mb sprinter. Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I am dealing with A&L RV Sales located ********** **. They are having problems getting wiring information from FR reference the leveling system functioning whether the e-brake is engaged or not. You can drive off deployed jacks if you forget to retract. They don't respond to e-brake at all. There's a generator issue which has been determined to be a battery management system problem. They ordered parts but takes over a week and still not received. This is bad business and unacceptable. Don't know why FR says no claims when my dealer states that FR says ******* issue and ******* says FR issue. ************* says they will not work on unit because it is an RV.My dealer is doing all he can, if he can't get assistance from MFG-FR who warrants for 1st 12 months of my ownership,  after that the individual mfg company of the failed product is responsible. Me the purchaser shouldn't have to tackle or be involved with the vendor or supplier warranty until after the 1 year warranty FR provides. FR needs to be responsible for any warranty issues during the 1st year and assist dealers in response to customer service in a professional and timely manner. Thank you and BBB for your assistance in this matter. L

On October 27, 2023, while doing our walk through of our 2023 East to ******************* *********************** the ***** man assisting us and showing us how to use important features of our camper noticed that the oven would not work. After calling someone else in from service it was determined that the touch panel needed to be replaced. They got the part number and we were told they would be ordering the part that day. Because we had a trip planned and had already paid we went ahead and took possession of the unit. On November 10, 2023,we contacted our sales rep who has been absolutely amazing, for an update on the part. He advised that he would contact service and get us an update. Someone from the dealership called us and advised that they had terminated most of the service department employees and now parts were having to be ordered directly from Forest River, the manufacturer. However, our part was not ordered and he did not see any notes pertaining to this. I advised that we have a whole text thread showing that his dealership was well aware of this complaint and it is all documented. They assured us that they would get the part ordered. After another 10 days of having absolutely no updates, we contacted them again on November 20, 2023. Our sales rep went to the service department again and we were advised that they do not see the claim or part number in the system. We then received a phone call from the dealership where we were told that they see no documentation related to this and we had to break everything down for them again. We reiterated that we have everything documented in writing by text showing that they were aware of the issue. We were assured that the part was now ordered. Here we are another nine days with no further updates or confirmation. We have a camper that we cannot cook in which has forced us to spend $50 dollars on meal every time we stay in it. We travel extensively as our children BMX race. This camper was meant to alleviate some of the expenses such as hotel fees, etc. However, it has done the opposite. We have ended up spending over twice the amount in food because we have been forced to do carry out as we cannot cook meals in our BRAND NEW camper. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.Thank you, ***** & ***************************

While the repairs have been completed over a month later, we still have not received the repair order after asking for one several times. We need documentation showing this has been completed.

      Business Response

      Date: 12/21/2023

Repair orders come from the dealership, not from Forest River.  Please contact the dealer (Optimum) in order to acquire that repair order document.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 12/26/2023

I am rejecting this response because:
While it is the dealerships responsibility to provide repair orders, it is the manufacturers responsibility to be sure that their dealers are following appropriate guidelines. We have asked the dealership multiple times for the repair order which is LEGAL documentation. They still refuse to provide us with any documentation. The dealership represents the manufacturer. We need this legal documentation.

      Business Response

      Date: 01/02/2024

Forest River is not able to nor responsible for providing the repair order documentation as it is not a Forest River document.  The dealerships are independent entities and are not controlled by Forest River.  The repair order documentation must be provided by the dealership that provided the repair.

We bought our new Camper in ***** **, we purchased a Forest River Wildwood model 29VBUD.We have owned the unit for less than 2 years now and have had to replace the ** unit and toilet under our extended warranty due to bad units. Recently we came back from a trip and the underbelly plastic panels of the unit that protect underneath the trailer have broken off and we lost 6 panels total. After looking at the remaining panels they were installed by my standards of poor quality, and cracked where the screws are installed to hold them in place and they do not want to repair or do a recall on them. Pictures attached show the missing panels exposing the wires and septic system and others are about to come off as well. After researching RV forums Many other people have had the same issue and Forest River refuses to help out after the 1st year of ownership, Also all the wallpaper in the unit is bubbled really bad as they did not use adhesive on all of the wallpaper to hold in place. I dealt with their customer service and simply would not help and have stopped all communication with my emails. This unit has only been used 7 times and we have had several other issues as well with fuses blowing, lights not working, we are extremely disappointed with the quality of the unit and am only seeking them to repair and replace the under panels that were poorly installed.
