      Forest River, My name is *************************. 2022 Florest River Salem FSX 170SS SMG073893 ***************** VIN Purchased 10/19/22 ********************** ******************************* Cheasaning MI. ***** ************ Within days of purchase I began having problems. Tank sensors always said Black and Gray tanks were full. Bathroom door and entrance door stuck. For the life of me I could not level the *** The Slideout was hanging out on a downward slope. Calling the dealership to ask about placing jacks under the slideout. Was told that would void the warranty. This by the way was with ** setting on a very level driveway. And Im sure there were other things November 2022 I towed it to ***************. The first of what I thought were going to be 3-4 different locations for the winter while finding my last permanent home. Barely there a month and the problems quickly came and worsened. Had to place drivers side wheelbon top of 3 2x6 boards to even begin to level the ** to a sliught degree. The ** unit started to emit a foul fishy smell and would just stop working. The kitchen dinette started to peel apart. The cheap plywood under seat cushions split and cracked. The Pull out couch literally pulled up and out of the brackets. Trim coming off back shelf. Door storage under dinette hung crooked thus a pain to close and latch. Toilet easily plugged. I Contacted Forest River on 12/16/22. I reached a *********************** . (Salem, Hemisphere and Villa) After discussing it he agreed a mobile repair would be best. He gave me a list of mobile repair shops, Of which most would not take the job. ** Guru accepted but did not come out for initial visit until February 2023. And with waiting for Forest River to ok repairs and send parts out for the repairs ** Guru did not return until April 14 2023. They replaced ** unit (thankfully its winter at the time) and fixed Dinette. Cheaply. The same with couch. And fixed the trim. And supposedly checked some valve under the *** Did NOT realign doors so they still rubbed raw and hard to open and close. I notified ***** of this and 11 days later i tried to contact him again. Now the sink was leaking. The ** came with what I thought was just a scratch in the kitchen sink but ended up being a stress crack from when drain was installed. I never heard back from *****.I limped home to ******** in May. During the drive pieces fell off the camper. The belly guards came loose. One stabilizer almost fell off. Oh and all along even while ****** was hooked up to septic the sensors said the tanks were always full. After leaving emails and voice mails with ***** for 2 months I reached out to Forest River and ******************* took over. By this time I could not close up the Slideout so could not bring back to dealer. He offered several mobile repair shops. None of which would take the job. **** then said he would have a representative from Forest River come look at it. Six weeks later no one came to look at it. Tired of waiting we managed to get Slideout closed by lifting up on it and pushing the retact switch so I asked for local repairs I could take it to. Nothing within 75 miles would work on a ** they did not sell. So I took it back to where I bought it. ******* ******* in ********** ********. July 24th 2023 I returned ** with a current list of 20 warranteed problems with the *** Which included the already listed problems plus the Water pump shook the whole camper and was very loud. Besides the kitchen sink leak there was a kleak under sink coming from water pump. The awning motor was making noise and it was coming loose at top. The bed mattress was breaking down already. The whole bed was loose and sinking. The blinds kept coming loose. The screen in the door keeps coming loose and falling out. Had to purchase a metal screen. . Dealer installed steps were rubbing the door raw. (Everything twisted) Random buttons, plugs and such coming loose. Window above bed had gap where wind and water and bugs came through. Wallpaper coming loose. After maybe 6 weeks of ******* waiting on parts and oks to repair I picked up the camper. Where they admitted to not being able to level the ** either. They fixed some of the items. Some they didnt. While in their possession something hit the driver side about storage door leaving a crimp in siding. While driving vehicle home happy to finally take a summer trip the trailer brakes stopped working. I had problems with the slide out still. ************** of Forest River now passed me on to ******************.So in September i was told to take the ** back to ******* . No brakes and all. I did have my mechanic fix it. Apparently some pin in harness from trailer was loose in the connection. And we managed to get slide out closed again. It was returned with even more additional problems. A crack has appeared in shower stall. Just in the corner where there are no creases, or connections. Same old problems never fixed or started up again. Doors misligned, Water pump making loud vibrating noises.Control panel still not working correctly. Slide out still hanging out at a angle. gap at bottom. Screen never fixed. Kitchen sink laminate coming loose. Bluetooth speaker which would never sync up wont even turn on now. Im sure Im missing some things and I am not 100% sure on all dates mention but are to the best of my knowledge correct.Now **************** has told me to tale ** back to dealer for repairs which later not approved. Want pictures and measurememnts taken before sending to *******. Then Forest River is suppose to send someone to ******* to look at it themselves. Then back to having it sent back to ******* upon approval. Then ******* now is notified that Forest River is passing the buck to ******* because *******s numbers indicate something is twisted. They cannot level it. See gaps where there should be none. Slide out works only sometimes. So upon getting these ******* will come look at it. Now ******* has denied their claim. The ** has been at ******* almost 2 months. I have asked for a replacement or credit toward another *** Which got the response from ****************. We would bring the unit back, inspect for repairs, and send the unit back. All units a deemed repairable, until determined otherwise. It is very seldom that a unit is replaced, and furthermore we do not participate in trading or buy backs. On 12-22-23 I was notified the trailer was all fixed and was being returned to *************** where i bought it. The repair invoice did not include fixing crack in shower. I brought this to their attention. Eventually they oked those repairs by the dealer. Over 2 months later i still have not received my ** back. Changing a axle is very indicative of why most of the breakages occured. Since the ** has been out of hand I do not know what other things have broken or will break because of this. I asked for a extended warranty as the original one expired while in their hands. The seriousness of all that has occured and having NO warranty now brings me to not wanting this lemon back. *************************

       I am rejecting this response because: I reached out to ****************** when i received the BBB notificatiion. Sending a email Friday March  22. Five days ago. I am only allowed 7 days to accept or refuse. No response has been made by ******************** or anyone else. I also was able to do a walkthrough of RV. Where many of the concerns were dealt with there are still more. Cabinet door under bathroom sink misaligned.

       I am rejecting this response because: I have responded and my negotiation was ignored. Following is my response. ******************** ,
      It has been over 9 days since I reached out to you. I had high hopes someone was serious to finally take care of our problem. I am very confused to why a company like Forest River cannot take care of their customer especially when their product was so obviously defective. You do not change axles, wheels, tires brakes just as a courtesy. I believe I have been more than patient. I would also like to point out the ** was suppose to be my home over the winter in the south. Not having it and still making payments on it while also spending thousands(which is 4x what I would of paid at a park) for housing after basically sleeping in a garage until it got too cold. If you cannot make this right by the end of the week I have been been told I should make reports to the *** and the Indiana state attorney generals office. Beyond that will incur more costs. 
      Seeing that whatever problems that you have fixed which needed a axle changed put enormous strain throughout the **. Causing many of the known problems and any others that havent been discovered. Example being the the windows which are near impossible to open discovered March 15th. 
      I propose a full refund of purchase price plus the rough estimation for upgrades i purchased at **********************. This coming to a estimated $30,000. I think this is more than fair since I am not at this time asking for reimbursement for other expenses incurred from this gross negligence. 
      From this point I must advise you any phone calls will be recorded if you do not want to correspond via emails.

      My initial complaint was closed prematurely, with only intentions stated, not actions taken.The repairs made have failed, and new issues have emerged due to Forest River's inadequate fixes. There are additional repairs that may have been overlooked while the ** was in their possession. I was promised reimbursements that have not been fulfilled, including three months of ** payments for the inconvenience. A FULL ONE-YEAR ADDITIONAL MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY was also promised upon return, which has been reneged. ( I have emails from both ****** ******* and *** ******** offering and authorizing this)Currently, I have a repair list totaling 39 issues, with many requiring multiple repairs. Details are included in the attachments due to space constraints. I have been in contact with multiple representatives at Forest River, including Mr. ******* at the dealership, ***** ******* Mr. ****** ****** ******** and *** ********. However, my concerns have largely been ignored. I have made three trips to the dealership and two to Forest River in ******** at one point being without the ** for eight months. Reparations offered for three payments were never received. I sent invoices for upgrades to the mattress, microwave, and leveling ****s as instructed, ( note front passenger side stabilizer **** **** off just like the one they already replaced.) but I have yet to receive any reimbursement. Although I was told I would receive a full manufacturers warranty when I picked up the **, I was later informed that it only applied to items they repaired. I will include relevant emails in the attachments to support my case. I gave Forest River many chances to make this right. There is overwhelming evidence ** was manufactured poorly with the Frame manufacturer even saying so. I bought this so I can spend ******* locating a place for my disabled self to live comfortly in south but that has not been so.

      24. Powered awning fixed. Awning came loose and was having problems opening and closing. Currently working but straining. (SNF) 
      25.Bedroom window has always been loose with gaps. Supposedly fixed but handle was cracked and broke off after return and bugs crawl right in with window closed. (SNF) 
      26.Under window ** was damaged while out of my hands and at dealer or Forest River. (SF) 
      27.After return from FR to Dealer. Went to pick up and first slideout wouldnt close. And then awning would not open, Dealer fixed? When dealer open control panel several unattached wires came out??? (SMayNF) 
       ***** short time home reported to Mr ******* that ceiling was sagging in, causing freezer door to rub ceiling AC. Going across camper measurements do not match ceiling to floor. (NF) 
      29.Burners do not want to ignite easily on stove (NF) 
      30. Bluetooth speaker replaced once still not working. (SNF) 3rd time. 
      31. Outdoor shower line shoots water all over. (NF) 
      32. Batteries discharge at fast rate. (NF) 
      33.Drivers side rear by electrical hook up, the body is coming loose from frame. (NF) 
      34. Silverware drawer coming apart. I nailed together but (SNF) 
      35. Back at the beginning With constant water hooked up it started coming out reserve tank fill cap. Stopped on own and never checked by ** Guru. 
      36. Blinds keeping coming loose and windows har to open (SNF)
      37. Water control k*** cap keeps falling and breaking off. (SNF)
      38. Wallpaper coming loose (fixed but not checked lately)
      39. Hot water heater works on and off. (SNF) not reported. 
      July 1st 2024 wast last tiume i reached out to ****** ******* at Forest River. No response 3 months later.
      **. Same leveling **** replaced by ******* campers as per Forest river okaying, front passenger side fell off driving down road. Inspecting the remaining ****s i see they are only screwed on and not bolted on.
      41. ** center ceiling fan is loose since i got it back. Bathroom fan sticks on and only turns off if you flip breaker. 
      42. Just took out for first time on road when #** happened. I really dont feel the trailer brakes kicking in after they replaced them.

       I am rejecting this response because:
      I believe Forest River is being dishonest about the payment reimbursement. Otherwise they would tell me if it was cashed and they would offer to send another check. They have NOT still reimbursed me for the mattress. They have not giving me any extended full manufacturers warranty as offered. I asked about repairs needed several times and without them proceeding to officially extend the warranty no dealer will honor my just saying so. Replacement parts offered still not sent since offered 6 months ago or more. Fact that after their "Repairs" the roof caving in and the other problems have not been addressed. Mr. ******* promised to locate on my behalf to find dealers that would work on trailer as they all said no if they did not sell it to me. This was day i picked up at dealer LAST time. Again Mr ******** and Mr ******* both offered the warranty to be fully extended a year after i picked it up. 

      Several items have supposedly been fixed 2,3 times already still need fixing. The fact the actual ***** manufacturer said the trailer "was built out of square" on Nov 7th 2023 shows Forest River knew the trailer was not only faulty but potentially dangerous and yet they returned the trailer under false pretenses it was fixed. A fix now would be a total rebuild from wheels up. 

      Forest River has totally ignored me until i file BBB complaint. Then Say we will fix it. Then dont. And that is reason enough to reject their response. Its easy to say you will do something and then dont.  Not knowing if attachments made it to the official complaint i did so again in  this response.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      Forest River falsely saying they were not notified of things. In attachments screen shots taken from emails showing they in fact were. 
      They keep ignoring the fact that they say they will reimburse for items and havent done so. They try to distract the big picture by fixating on a $700 check they may or may not have sent when $34,000 is in stake.
      They say they will reimburse for a mattress they offered to pay for. ******** bought and invoice sent. Now they say they will only pay if I buy addition items i know they do not plan paying for. And they are now saying they will pay for it. 
      A FULL 100% Manufactures warranty was offered upon receiving the ** back last time. Nothing official given to present as if I went to dealer they should take my word for it. Then they say Nope, warranty only on items we fixed even though i have multiple emails from two different **** saying it is a FULL manufacture's warranty. 
      Multiple defects are still present. Some supposedly fixed 3-4 times of which i thought constitutes a lemon. 
      They tried to **** off defects to the frame manufacturer ******* who denied them and said all problems due to Forest River build. Everything in detail in 2 attachments including the 28 known problems some of which are downright dangerous . 
       
      ******, Forest River. You have my number. Please call and arrange pick up of this lemon and have a check ready.

       I am rejecting this response because: Forest River is just giving meaningless responses. They have proven they do not honor and offers. And now their representative ****** wants me to take to a dealer but will now cover any repairs unless they already did them once. And they want me to tow it to a dealer 2 hours away because they will not find one for me closer than the original dealer. And they want me tow it when they have been notified here and in emails that the bottom of trailer is loose and about to come down on axle as it did before and i assume thats why they replaced it once already. Camper is still built wrong. And the bad build continues to have pieces fall off or break. As reported before the kitchen fan is loose and now the surround is cracking on its own. Photo attached to go with the other 28 current problems.

      They of course will respond with no intention of doing anything. When they say they are working directly with me , what they mean they are deliberately putting me off hoping i will give up. I wont till they make it right.

      Forest River regrets that the customer has been inconvenienced, we appreciate Mr. ****** and stand by our commitment to him.  We are glad to assist him and remain willing to review unit concerns at the dealer level. 
      Forest River practices openness with customers regarding our processes and policies, and we are trying to correct the fact that this customer did not receive the original reimbursement check we had issued him.  A customer address form has been provided to the customer by ********** (per ********************** policy) to inform us of, confirm and update our operating systems with his correct address so that we may re-issue reimbursement with confidence that it will reach him.  Forest River has requested the customer fill in the information that the form asks and return it to Mr. ******* and Mr. ******** so we may move our correction attempts forward.
      Mr. ******* has advised the customer to set an appointment for the unit with the dealer for warranty coverage of unit concerns, with any loose items having been secured prior to the drive to the dealer.  At the time of this writing, Forest River understands that Mr. ****** has contact information for ********** and Mr. ********* and that they remain available to Mr. ****** as the work to alleviate the customers concerns becomes accomplished.

       I am rejecting this response because: As I am fully cooperating with any legitimate actions on Forest Rivers part their continueing actions or non actions warrant more on their part before i take a chance towing a disabled ** myself. I have long advised them that only the dealer where i purchased the ** 2 hours away will agree to work on the **. It was told to me by Mr. ******* any dealer that sells their products must accept warranty work. They all tell me no unless i bought it from them. Mr. ******* the day i picked up ** from last time in for repairs said he would find a local Dealer to work on it. The closest is ******** ** of *************************. If they agree to do the warranty work which by Mr ******** and and Mr. ********* emails is a full manufacturers warranty I am open to letting them tell Forest River exactly how bad this unit is. Which to the best of my knowledge needs a complete rebuild from the ground up to be SAFE and hopefully to Forest Rivers "high standards" . I await them reaching out to ******** and encouraging them to do warranty work on a ** they did not sell. Or any other ** dealer closer than ******* **. 

      In response to reissue a reimbursement check i have sent them my current mailing address. let it be known finally reimbursing me is only 1 of several promises they made. still not reimbursed for mattress and still no formal warranty extension in writing to submit to any repair location.

      We purchased a 5th wheel camper from them. In the event that the bathtub cracked, we found that there was nothing supporting under the tub. The quality of this camper could not of passed any inspections what so ever. The tub leaking caused the floors to rot throughout the camper. We have made multiple attempts to speak with the manufacture, and to this day have not heard one word back from them. We paid for the extended warranty, which has told us they will not cover nor refund our money. (TOTAL WARRANTY'S *********) I am attaching a time line of this situation with just an idea of what we have gone through...We are requesting our money back that we paid for the additional warranties, due to they will not cover the situations that we were told they would. We also are requesting a value of depreciation for our 5th wheel.

      Forest River is sorry to hear of this situation; however, review of your file indicates we have had two conversations regarding this unit. First was May 28, 2022, where we encouraged scheduling with selling dealer to file a claim for coverage. Our second conversation of November 10, 2023, indicates we were only asked for a part number for a tub pan. Based on this review, Forest River cannot accept liability for damage described.

      As for the extended warranty, this is not an agreement through Forest River. Your selling dealership sells these independently through their finance department.

      I purchased a Salem Hemisphere fifth wheel which is produced by Forest River Inc. The welding on the frame of the pin box was inferior and broke. I took the unit to the dealership where I bought it and they repaired the inferior welds. I contacted Forest River about the issue, and they are not taking responsibility for the defective product. They are claiming they get the frame from ******* **** and they are not responsible for the frame not being welded properly. I feel their quality control would have found the defective welding and not continued with manufacturing of the trailer.

      We purchased a new 2022 forest river pop up camper. Before the warranty was up, one of the zippers broke and isnt repairable. We contacted and spoke with ***** at camping world in ******** ** and went back and forth with her for months with no resolution. I finally got in touch with the service manager ***. He said he has contacted you to see about replacing the canvas piece as it seemed that piece was too small from the beginning. It was extremely difficult zipping it and gave us issues of securing the door. He and I both felt it needed replaced. He said he hadnt heard anything back.       Our 6 month old RV went into the shop on October 30, 2023 and as of today (Feb 13, 2024) the workshop is still waiting on approvals from FR. In addition, the scope of repairs needed - eg floor needs pulling up and walls replaced and cabinets and ****, removing the underbelly to replace a defective valve, things not being installed correctly when new - might mean it would be cheaper and faster just to replace this lemon RV.

      I recentky purchased a used 2012 Palomino Stampede ultra lite. The guy I purchased it from had lost the keys. I tried looking for the lock code to order replacements but was unsuccessful.       My husband and I purchased a 2022 Forest River RPod 193 Vin# ***************** on October 15, 2021. We have had nothing but constant issues with this camper. Every time we use it something else goes wrong. Most recently we found that the camper had water damage inside along all the base boards and the curtain on the window in the slide out. We took it back to the dealership to find the problem. The problem was the slide out was leaking due to manufacture error as well as the shower was not properly installed with the necessary over flow pan. Allowing water to leak into the camper in both areas. Forest River has refused to fix the water damage created by their manufacture errors. This is only two of many defects in this camper. Weve had to replace to door twice, due to manufacturer error, replace the front window, due to manufacture error, replace the fridge door panel twice, due to manufacture error, replace the front bed storage. The list goes on and on. This trailer was poorly assembled and mass produced during Covid, allowing for so many manufacture errors that the consumer is left to pay for. I would like Forest River to repair the water damage caused by their lack of quality work and manufacture errors.

      On December 4, 2023 my wife and I purchased an **, VIN# *****************, 23 CHEROKEE WOLF PACK 25PACKREAR GARAGE at Fun Town ********** **. After a few days in our house and after having rained a lot, we found the ** with a lot of water inside in the kitchen area and under the reclining sofa. On December 27, 2023 we took the ** to warranty at Fun Town in ******** **. After Fun Town inspectors inspected the ** they found many damages from the manufacturer since the ** is new and never used I want Forest River, the manufacturer, to take responsibility for all damages including emotional damages to our family. Since it was hard to be able to buy something that we dreamed of having for a long time, to see ourselves in this problem now. Having to make payments and not being able to enjoy ******. I would like Forest River to keep ****** and give us a new one worthy of everything we are going through. Since they are responsible for construction defects as Fun Town informs us.

      This letter is in reference to complaint ********, concerning shipping charges for replacement parts for a 2020 Coachmen Pursuit.
      After reviewing our records, it appears that the customer placed an order for a TRIM KIT, .9 MICROWAVE, STAINLESS, FURRION, (**********) | (PURPLE RACK-TOP BACK 1), FMSML09-SS-TK and was charged the standard rate for the size and weight of the item being shipped through **** An order was also placed for a TABLE, DREAM DINETTE 26 X 42 OMNOVA BAHA QUARTZ 27DS 2020. This item was unable to be shipped to the customer through regular *** shipping due to the size and weight of the item and was therefore, shipped via *** Freight. Unfortunately, costs for freight shipments are determined by the shipping company and out of the control of Coachmen RV.
      Customer satisfaction is our number one goal, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience to the customer. ********************** has negotiated the best possible rates for shipping through a third-party vendor and has passed these savings along to the customer. Unfortunately, had these parts been ordered through other means, the costs would have been significantly higher given the age of the items being ordered along with the size and weight of each.
