I purchased a fifth wheel from Best Rv new off the lot. Within the first week of having it several significant things occurred flooding into my daughter's room through the electric compartment, mold growing from it. Basically the shower drains into her room and also under storage. The awning was ripped off WHILE CLOSED and the arm of the awning broke a hole into the door and and the wires are hanging for power . Several lights do not work, molding is peeling off every where. The pulls to open the grey and black water pulled off when opening. The bottom and galley in outdoor kitchen fill with water and you can see it giving way. The black water never shows full then now doesn't show empty. The stove last for two meals, the wifi they bragged about and camera do not work and cost extra. It's literally a hardward and my daughter and I moved in it because we had health problems both immune compromised. All provider vendors won't answer or come to me. And now the emails to forest river requesting updates bounce back as invalid. I used ever ***** I had to buy this and it's such a scam. I am desperate for help

This does not resolve it, although I appreciate the response someone has already told me this almost three months ago then no more response. I also had someone reach out to me when the claim was filed she told me the same thing and last contact was she was going to talk to I guess her bosses and someone would reach out to schedule a evaluation to of all items. This has been a week at least and no calls. I need action not words at this point because the items are causing other items to pop up as it sits. Sorry I don't know how else to respond. Thank you!

On March 29th 2024 I purchased a $65,000 5thwheel new from dealership. With in 2 days the inverter had to be changed and the 36" fireplace was not working. There was a water leak poring water into my bathroom. The awning motor coupler broke. The AC's were blowing chunks of foam and one AC fan is broken. The only thing fixed so far is the water leak which I had to fix myself to prevent further damage and the inverter. I am being charged service fee to have my new RV fixed since I pull it to a dealership as the awning is stuck open. This unit has been nothing but problems for the less than three months I have owned it. The fireplace is still at the dealership and was left with them on May 1st 2024.

Coachmen is sorry to hear about the issues you are having;however, review of your unit file indicates we have had multiple email conversations regarding your unit. Our conversation began on 06/18/2024 in response to your email from 06/17/2024, where I advised you to schedule an appointment with your local dealer/service center who would file a warranty claim for diagnosis and repair.  Your response stated that you were unable to move the unit, because your awning was stuck in the out position. I quickly responded within 10 minutes advising you that you had the option to use a mobile tech, who if Forest River approved to do work would be able to file a warranty claim directly into the system and if not an approved, what steps you would need to follow for reimbursement. Your quick response advised me that you would be filing a review with every site, including the BBB letting others know what products and support they will get after spending so much money. I responded asking for your zip code so I could send you a list of dealerships/service centers in your area who could assist you.

As previously stated, we are happy to help you in getting your unit repaired. Please contact any Forest River dealership/service center (including mobile techs) who would be delighted to get your unit back to a road worthy state.

I purchased my 2023 NOBO 19.2 VIN#***************** on August 7, 2023. It is still under factory warranty. On June 13, 2024, Southland RV in Lagrange, GA submitted to Forest River warranty request for improper installation of roof rack which caused water intrusion and damage to RV. The authorized dealership has failed to get a response back from Forest River. I purchased a Forester 3011DS Class C motorhome manufactured by Forest River. This is part of the "Classic" lineup. The "Factory Installed Options" included the Forester Premium Camping Package (at a cost of $6999.00). Forest River represented in their materials that the Classic Premium Camping Package was included in every Classic model and represented this package included a 12V ** in the bedroom. The 12V bedroom ** was also represented to be a "standard" feature on models in the Classic line. When I purchased the motorhome, wires went from behind the ** down into an opening in the wall. The ** was not plugged into the 110 power outlet adjacent to the **. After I experienced an issue with the bedroom **, the dealer removed the **, and found that the ** was not a 12V ** but, rather, a 110, and the plug had been cut off and the wires that ran from the ** had apparently been connected to a 12V power source. This was not apparent to a consumer. The dealer replaced the ** with a 110, saying they could only replace it with the same model ** they removed. Clearly, the ** was being represented to be a 12V **. Forest River has said they reserved the right to make revisions or changes to equipment. However, as I advised Forest River, this isn't a situation where I was told I was not getting a 12V ** in the bedroom due to such a revision or change. Forest River clearly tried to represent this as a 12V **, as someone at the factory modified the power cord and hooked it up to a 12V power source. This misrepresentation is not acceptable. I asked for all documentation regarding this unit and have not received any response.

Thank you for forwarding the consumers complaint to Forest River. We are sorry to hear that the consumer is not 100% satisfied with their recreational purchase.

Forest River has reviewed this matter. While it is unfortunate to hear that the ** failed 5 years after installation, the ** installed in the ** was proper and was 12 powered as Forest River advertised. The installation methods were also approved by the ** supplier and met all applicable industry standards.

We do not find any indications that Forest River was deceptive, or falsely advertised the ** functionality in the consumers **.

      Thank you -

      Forest River Customer Service

      Customer Answer

      Date: 07/09/2024

I am rejecting this response because:

In its response, Forest River is saying the ** was 12v powered, which is not only completely inconsistent with what the dealer found but also what Forest River's own representative stated. I was told by the dealer that the ** that was installed was a 110v, not a 12v **, and had had the 110 plug cut off. I advised Forest River's warranty representative, ******************, of this information and provided photos. ****************** advised me that my unit has the capability to have a 12v ** and asked if this was the original ** the unit came with. I told ****************** twice the dealer had advised that the ** was a 110 and this is what the unit had come from the factory with. I then asked how I could get a 12v ** in the bedroom.

In response, ****************** stated my motorhome must have come out in the middle of changes being made and that FR had reserved the right to make revisions (resulting in me receiving a 110v **, not a 12v **). After I asked for documentation concerning my motorhome, ****************** informed me she "can advise parts for the part number for a 12-volt ** for the bedroom. You can advise a dealer to get pricing and order. There was a design change and your motorhome was affected."  She also asked what documents I am seeking and stated she could advise what is available in the system. I asked for any and all documents FR has concerning the build of this particular unit. I have never received a response to that request.

I paid valuable consideration for what I was told was a standard feature on this unit. FR did not tell me I was not receiving this feature and, in fact, apparently tried to hide this, and created a latent defect, by cutting the plug off the 110 ** and connecting it to a 12v power source. As a consumer, I would have had no way of knowing this is what they did. They will not make it right.

      Business Response

      Date: 07/17/2024

Thank you again for forwarding the consumers complaint. To explain again, the ** was produced as advertised. The ** originally installed in the motorhome was designed to work by 12-volt power and in fact was powered by 12-volt in the ** when it left Forest River.  12-volt **s are available for purchase through our parts department by our authorized dealers.  ** installation methods are also approved by the ** supplier and meet all applicable industry standards. Again, we are sorry to hear it failed.

Forest River rejects this claim of misrepresentation and re-states that the ** installed in the ** during assembly met the unit manufacture specifications and advertisement requirements.

      Sincerely,

      Forest River Customer Service

Forest River Rpod - VIN # ***************** On June 30, 2023 my husband and I paid $38,781 for the purchase of a Forest River Rpod from Poulsbo RV in *******, **. At delivery inspection, it was found there was a leak in the kitchen faucet, and the dealer agreed to send us a new faucet and we could take it to a dealer in ******, where we live, to have it installed. I am attaching a letter that basically goes through what has happened in the past 12 months. We have made many attempts to contact Forest River directly, through emails and phone calls and can get nowhere. We are asking for assistance to get the repairs made and to extend our factory warranty - we feel that the unit has not been in perfect working order as it should have been when we picked it up from the dealer, therefore the warranty should be extended from the date all of the repairs are made for the one year service time.Purchase date of June 30, 2023, with a one year manufacturers warranty will be invalid after June 30, 2024 - which is why we have been trying to get these repairs completed and trying to contact Forest River regarding the warranty. In our opinion - this unit is a lemon - since it has been in numerous times to get the same problems resolved.

We have nothing but problems with this camper. Last year they did do repairs. This year they will not call back. We have the same problem with the door as last year, it is warped. It is hard to close and sometimes it wont lock. They replaced the door last year and the new one is doing the same thing. We had problems with the plumbing, they fixed everything except the grey water holding tank, they were supposed to fix it but it has been a year and nothing done yet. They did fix the black water holding tank, replaced the shower trap . The trim on the roll front of the camper has leaked . Its really been a nightmare from day one . No response from forest river or *****************, which is where we bought it .

I bought a 2021 FR impression (*****************) in February 2022. I had just got out of the military and was going to use it during the week so I could go to school and not be driving hours due to the location my school was at. I payed 80k for the unit and so far have lost about 35k on it and still owe 60k. The unit had sat a year before I purchased but it was still new. 6 months after purchase one of the slides had leaking issues to the point of mold. It went to the dealer because it was still under warranty, but it was a struggle to get it solved so I got an attorney involved. They finally fixed it and said it was due to missing seals but just a few months later it was still leaking. Ive been working for 2 years with an attorney to try and get the issues resolved but as of the last month I finally got it into the dealer to submit an inspection to forest river (as requested by my attorney and FR). I was going to just settle on a settlement but that was until I saw how bad the leaking had actually been. It was leaking in places with wiring and ended up causes one slide to completely start falling out and the other three slides to hold moisture, and collect mold. It was causing me and my animals to get sick constantly. After inspection FR said it was due to maintenance and that since its not in warranty they wont help. Seals were missing due to manufacturing fault, and I did everything I could to try and keep the issue under control. Now both FR and my attorney are saying no one will help and Im stuck with a unit filled with mold. Everyone dragged their feet and communication has been awful, now Im stuck with a rv that needs 4 slides to be replaced and mold all throughout the furniture. At first FR was willing to help but due them taking so long and it coming out of warranty they arent standing by their words. Its been unusable 90% of the time Ive owned it, and with it being a brand new unit it shouldnt have gotten to the point it was so fast.

The issue was taken to an attorney to represent but nothing was taken to court and the issues werent resolved. The unit is now in worse condition than when I had started trying to get it fixed but no one is willing to do anything. *** tried everything to get the issue resolved and tried contacting multiple people to get help but no one is willing to help.

      Date: 06/24/2024

Forest River is sorry to hear of the issue you are experiencing with your camper.  Upon dealer inspection of this concern, it was determined that water damage was caused by lack of maintenance of seals.  This is not a situation covered by warranty.

Forest River respectfully requests that this complaint be closed.

      Thank you.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 06/24/2024

I am rejecting this response because:
Upon inspection when the camper first started leaking, the dealer told me in an email that seals were missing, but only visible damage would be fixed. After sitting on the dealer lot for a year before purchasing with missing slide seals, damage already occurred. Which is why 6 months after purchasing the brand new unit it had water damage and mold. Its no longer under warranty because its taken so long to try and get help with the issues.

      Business Response

      Date: 07/01/2024

Based upon current information and inspection performed by General RV, Forest River declines to provide assistance regarding this matter.  Forest River covered the inspection cost and transportation as customer goodwill.   We are under the impression that this RV is on a permanent site and maintenance has not been performed.

We respectfully request this complaint be closed.

      Thank you.

While on a one month long camping trip with our newly purchased Forest River Wolf Pup (purchased November 2023), we were pulling out of a gas station when I heard a big bang. I found the 'toy carrier' at the rear had collapsed- one of the bolts holding it up failed and the carrier had dropped to within a few inches off the ground. I managed to get to a Home Depot where I purchased a new bolt and installed it and repositioned the carrier in the vertical, as I was not sure it would not break again and this was a way to release the weight on the carrier.
We went to a Camping World in Wisconsin (we had purchased the trailer at a Camping World in Florida). They confirmed, and put in their records that this appeared to be a product failure. They were not able to make the necessary repairs as we were on a trip and could not stay there the several days it would have taken to get warantee approval.

When we returned to Florida we brought the trailer in to Camping World in Ocala (where we purchased the vehicle). They sent a request to Forest River for warranty repair, which was denied- this took almost 2 weeks for FR to reply. We went back and forth with FR trying to get them to understand that this was not, as they claimed, 'customer error'. In all, I had called FR 10 times with no responses to the messages I left on their voice mail.
The latest denial came today, Monday June 10th, once again denying the claim saying that I had removed a pin to reposition the carrier and that was what caused to bolt to fail. In the 5 months we had owned the trailer I had never removed the pins or, readjusted the carrier they referred to. The first and only time I removed the pins was after the bolt failed and I had to reset the carrier in the vertical position so it would not drag on the ground.
There were other denials of the warranty which I can detail later regarding failed stabilizers.

have been in communication with this retail customer.
      Per
Forest River and the vendor, this is going to remain deemed as damage.

      At
this time Forest River respectively asks to have this case closed.

      Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:

Forest River claimes that the retailer,  Camping World, agrees with them.  This is not true.  The service Camping World vendor in Oklahoma City, who first looked at the damage stated (workorder included) that there was "no visible accident damage or impact points" and that the only weight on the carrier at the time was an empty "Rhino" portable tank.  The Camping World vender in Florida,  where we purchased the trailer in November 2023, when we returned home had the same comment.  As a mater of fact, the CW service rep in Florida stated that she doesn't understand how Forest River could be declining the failure as 'customer error' and that it was obviouslya part failure.  As stated in a previous message,  the carrier was never moved or repositioned in the four previous months that this newly purchased trailer has been used.  Also attached is a photo of the failed bolt.

As an added note, besides the carrier failing, there were 11 (eleven) other items that failed on our initial trip with the trailer, all needing repair.

These photos did not upload on my response to Forest River on 6/22.  Can you please forward them?

      Based
on the claim submitted, information provided, and the photos provided it
appears that the bike rack was not used correctly.
      There
is no information provided that indicates a manufacturing defect is present.
      For
these reasons, this claim will respectfully remain denied.

      Thank you

I own a 2019 Continental Cargo Trailer Vin#*****************. The trailer is out of warranty but I have had parts fail for the bathroom. I am now trying to purchase replacement parts from the manufacture for over 4 months now and have had no success in doing so. I have contacted 2 different regions and was told I need to buy the parts from the ***** distribution area. I waited over a month to receive a phone call from someone that could help me. He quoted the parts, I approved the quote on May 3rd 2024 and he said it was ordered. Over a month later and now he wont answer my calls or text messages and is completely ignoring me with no update as to the status of my order. I need parts and I am willing to pay to get my trailer operational and the company should be responsible to provide parts and support for a trailer I originally paid over $80,000 for. This is unethical to not respond or support parts for purchase for their product.

We are speaking with the customer and working to get him the parts he needs. We are looking to determine exactly what parts he needs, as his request was Send me EVERYTHING I need to rebuild a bathroom.

      Thank you.

I purchased my 2022 forest river grey wolf 23dbh in June of 2023 new. In May of 2024 my slide out stopped working. The trailer is still under the 1 year factory warranty so I took the trailer back to the dealership it was purchased from for repair. They have had the trailer for over 1 month now and I got a call today saying they cant fix it until forest river or the manufacturer of the slide takes responsibility for covering the cost of the repair. ****** from the dealership said she has no idea how long it will take to resolve and she is basically stuck until someone gives their approval. According to ****** neither party wants to approve the repair, so Im sitting here paying for a trailer that I cant use. Please let me know if you can help.
