I spoke with an Angi list representative to inquire on using them for lead referral. After careful consideration it seemed like the way to go. I was told I was catching the end of the open market so imperative to get in and pay $300. I was advised if not pleased, I could cancel at any time. Well first month they sent me these bogus leads. All were fake leads. When I notified them they tried to boost leads through reviews but more fake leads at late hours of the night early 2 am . They stated they would help correct this. Weeks later same thing. I requested to cancel as this was not the service they assured me to boost sales. I requested to cancel as they have not met their end of the agreement and refund my $300. They keep trying to debit my acccount for these bad leads. Ive proven to them *** and ****** who conned me in to this that I needed this canceled immediately as they have breached their agreemEnt and conned me out of $300. Please help. I do not want a relationship with Angi. I do not trust you all and will never do any type of business with you all or lack there of.Business Response

We appreciate ******* reaching out to us and we apologize that she has been less than satisfied with her advertising so far. After checking her account details and notes, we see that she did notify her Client Success Manager about her concerns and she has been trying to work with ******* on lead credits. There has been little communication since ******* started her advertising, as her Client Success Manager and Onboarding Representative have reached out numerous times via phone and email, but have only heard back from her a handful of times. Almost two weeks ago (July 18), 2022) I contacted Angies List to supposedly help me out approaching new customers my ************ But unfortunately Ive been getting from them more debts than clients. From nowhere all the sudden they claim I owe to them $2,806.11 from automatic Leads even when I have them still in pause and my total spend target is $1,000. And so far I only have done 2 completed jobs with the total amount of $5,250. Angies List its a total FRAUD!!!! We are sorry Angi Leads did did not work for *******. After receiving this complaint, we followed up and discussed their account at length. We reviewed previous adjustments to increase his lead flow, the jobs he won, and the questions regarding billing and what he agreed to when signing up for the service. I was being charged 300 a month for client leads 1 year contract . I was late paying every month. I wasn't getting what I was paying for. I asked if I could lower how much I pay every month. I never got a response and when I didn't pay the 300 they discontinued service. Ok that's fine! But what they did was allow people to contact me but I couldn't see or respond to the client. I feel now my business name is tarnished. ***************************** regarding work. I couldn't respond. I had a response time of 10 mins and decent reputation. I tried 07/26/2022 to contact them regarding the issue again. Now they are asking me to pay for the rest of the year because of the contract. We appreciate ******* contacting us in regards to his advertising concerns and we apologize for any experience that has been less than positive. ********* Client Success Manager has attempted to contact him on numerous occasions however, she was unsuccessful in reaching him. Because ********* monthly payment was not received on the due date or during the allowed grace ******* the account was locked preventing him from accessing any additional leads. Once his billing is up to date, the account will unlock. Prior to the advertising campaign going live, ******* was provided with the written agreement. This outlines all terms of service, including the length of agreement and cancellation policy. He has accepted all terms and we will not issue any refunds. Angi's was hired by ******* to install a **. The original installation was scheduled for July 12th and I just happened to discover this on my own, no call, email etc. This was before the ** was to arrive. Rescheduled for July 13th @ noon and I paid $130 for 2 contractors. By 12:30 no one had showed or called, I called Angi's to inquire and was told the contractor had emergency. I was not informed of this and took time off work to be here. Rescheduled for July 15 @ 10am. One contractor showed up. The 2nd did not. I've contacted Angi's numerous times asking for a refund of the $50 for the 2nd contractor I paid for that never showed up. I've been told it would be refunded 5-7 days, nothing. Then told will get it in the mail. Nothing. I've asked to speak with a supervisor to call me back numerous times and no call back. I'd say total I've spent over 20 hours on the phone with them. I was originally told they could only give me $10 credit to use their services again ....... which I will never do. The contractor that showed says they did not pay him but they tell me he did.Business Response

I signed up for Angies List and provided my credit card with the knowledge that I would be charged a one time fee. They kept my credit card on file and continued to make unauthorized charges. Ive contacted them on numerous occasions and given them a chance to make this right. I unsubscribed from their service and even had to cancel my credit card, so they would stop charging me. Ive disputed many of the charges with my bank, but there is still $500 that is due to me for the unauthorized charges. I received an automated call from them last week alerting me they were sending me to collections. I only agreed to the one time sign up fee and nothing else. This company seems to be built on scams and does business in a fraudulent way.Business Response

I had someone contact me through homeadvisor/angi about doing a job for ~$450 to clean and seal my kitchen grout. The appointment was at 9am and Telvin arrived at 9:19am (have doorbell recording).I accepted this offer and was told "Telvin W" will arrive to complete the job. Telvin arrived and told me I had two options because the grout could not be cleaned:1. apply grout over the existing grout 2. chisel away the grout between the tile and add new grout We chose option 1 and I had approved for additional time, total cost to be ******* Around 4:30 that day Telvin said he needs to come back the next day (Tuesday 12-July) to:1. complete the laundry room 2. complete the grouting in the kitchen 3. clean the tiles 4. seal the *********************** did not show up the next day to finish the job and did not return any calls/texts. Not only that but he damaged our 3/4 round trim around the kitchen when he applying the grout, and got grout on our hardwoods, and down the vent. He also left grout smeared and dried all over our tile with no clean-up. Telvin, the person that was assigned by Angi/Homeadvisor, did more damage than good. I called Angi several times to get this right with one service rep saying that they would issue me a full refund - which did not happen. I had to call back a week later and the rep told me the most they can do is 50%. I sent an email to the platforms integrity prior to submitting this bbb issue on 21-July (8 days ago) and no response. I am seeking the remaining balance of what I paid ($292.62), as I hired a contractor to not only clean-up and repair the damage that Telvin did, but also complete the job I had originally contracted through Angi.Business Response

I called Angi /Home Advisor to do a exterior painting job also sign up in there membership program my appointment was 12:30 pm on a saturday. I got a call from the person that was going to do the job he was given misinformation from angie had no equipment to do the job i was to provide the paint so i canceled the membership and the job Angi still hit my account after i canceled the job. We appreciate ******'s concern, and we're so sorry to hear that there was any misunderstanding regarding her booking. This is not the kind of experience we would expect for her to have. She was charged because she cancelled the project after the pro had already arrived to perform the work. Per our terms and conditions that she agreed to when signing up, she would be responsible for full payment for cancelling the booking so late. After reviewing her complaint, we have decided that we will still move forward with refunding the full amount of her booking. However, we were unable to process the refund as the charges have been disputed with her bank. As our systems will not allow us to process a refund when there is an active dispute, we ask that she drop the dispute and then send us a letter from her bank stating that the dispute has been dropped. 07 /19/22 angi List home Advisor sent individuals to clean my carpets. First the three individuals did not have the proper equipment to clean the carpets, but I allowed them to procede. When I check to see how the cleaning was going, I discovered that they were not cleaning the carpets, because I felt the carpet and it was dry. I specifically told these men that I wanted a WET CLEANING. The was no dirty water in their outdated machine. I asked them to leave my home and this was only about ten minutes of their arrival. I called angi and explained that my carpets were not cleaned because these men were not cleaning my carpets and was trying to defraud me. I told angi DONOT take any money from my bank account because there was NO service rendered. I was assured that no money would be taken from my account. On 7/26/2022 $347.40 was deducted from my account. I would my money returned to my account.Business Response
