DONT DO ANGIES LIST. DONT DO ANGIES ******* absolutely disgusted by my experience with Angi/Angies Listor whatever name theyre going by these days. I signed up thinking Id be matched with vetted, professional cleaners. What I got was someone who showed up with no vacuum, no supplies, and no clue. She brought two sticks, had no cleaning products, and clearly wasnt equipped to do a professional job. My house wasnt cleanedit was swirled, smudged, and left with debris still sitting on surfaces. Even the fridge shelves were ********** make matters worse, I had to awkwardly host her for over 30 minutes while she waited for her ride. Completely unprofessional and uncomfortable.Then the real nightmare begancustomer service. I calmly tried to cancel and was bounced around, told to call a separate department, file complaints, and deal with untrained, apathetic phone **** who sounded half-asleep and completely uninterested in helping. All I asked was to cancelno refundjust let me walk away. And even that was an ordeal.Heres the real kicker: I asked how this person was qualified to enter homes. Their answer? No background check. No vetting. No training. All someone has to do is say they want to be a housekeeper, and Angie signs them up. That should terrify any homeowner.They are charging a subscription fee for a yearrecurring charges for access to what? Unqualified strangers in your house and pathetic customer service? Its a joke.I am more outraged by the customer service than even the cleaner. The fumbling, mumbling, disengaged responses were insulting. I did speak with a representative from Angi on June 5, 2025, who was able to finally make a change to my account to remove the janitorial task I had been requesting be removed since the beginning. While I appreciate that step, it does not resolve the larger issue regarding the contract terms and charges that I have disputed from the beginning. The representative admitted that she was not authorized to address the contract concerns, which are the core of my complaint.
Therefore, I am not satisfied with the resolution, as the main issue remains unresolved. I would like this matter to remain open until someone with proper authority at Angi can address the contractual issues and offer a fair resolution.

If not, why?
Angi claims a supervisor has made multiple attempts to reach me, but I have not received any direct calls, voicemails, or emails from them. If calls were made, they were not from a clearly identified number or with adequate follow-up communication (such as email or a reference number), which is standard practice for legitimate customer service.
Furthermore, the company has not addressed the specific issue I raised: being charged without clear authorization or transparency. Their response sidesteps responsibility and lacks any effort toward resolution, such as a refund or acknowledgment of their misleading practices.
Has the company met the agreement they outlined in their response?
No. In fact, no real agreement or resolution was outlined. Simply stating they look forward to hearing from me without providing clear next steps, a contact name, or email is not a resolutionits deflection.
I remain dissatisfied with their handling of this matter and respectfully ask that this unresolved status be reflected accurately in their public profile. I appreciate the BBBs support in holding companies accountable to basic standards of transparency and customer care.

I signed up for a 12-month Angi subscription over the phone in MAY. The sales *** never clearly explained that I would be locked into a non-cancellable, year-long contract. I was excited about getting work leads for my business and followed her instructions without knowing the full commitment.When I asked for cancellation, Angi refused and told me I had to pay a determination fee or continue the contract. Angi Leads continued to send me scam leads for my painting business of 13 yrs along with bad leads. The scam leads had wrong phone #s, addresses that were houses purchased the day before that didnt need painted or addresses were non existent. I brought it up to 3-4 different Angi ************ agents and their reaction ranged from were sorry youre experiencing this and I hope it gets better to trying to just add more $$ into my leads I was buying. I made the big mistake of signing a yr contract with them because, in the past, I did pretty well using the service and expected the same quality leads. This time around the scam rate and no response rate was at 70%. If our typical sale closure rate is 30% then I am closing 1 out of 10 actual leads which is an extremely high customer acquisition cost. **********************, with that high of a scam rate, is in breach of contract in my opinion, and, instead of letting me walk away from my contract, cancelled it on me right away and emailed me that I would now be charged an early cancellation fee of $3100! I immediately cancelled my ccard before that happened and felt it was an extremely shady attempt to take $$. Simply canceling the contract would have solved the issue. No one I spoke to on the phone was able to cancel the contract and when I asked them to talk to someone higher up, the same answer came back. The customer service depts want to do everything in their power to continue to take your $$. I work with lead services so this is not my first time doing this. Other lead services actually listen and handle issues immediately. Angi right now is a complete scam and because it is free to use, scammers are taking advantage of their business and it was costing me real $$ and lots of wasted time and headaches. I was paying $910 a month if this was a legit service I would easily pay that weekly. Angi is too stuck in their ways and it is extremely shady. I own two businesses. We do not guarantee projects to our clients, and we explained in the agreement that ****** agreed to in March. Advertising agreements are provided in writing and must be accepted before the account goes active on the Angi Network. These agreements outline all terms of service, including the monthly rate and the cancellation policy. We have discussed the cancellation process, and an Early Termination Fee has been assessed to them for requesting to cancel before the completion of their contract. Please be advised that, as outlined in the agreement accepted in March, the early termination fee is a contractual obligation and will not be waived in this case. When I joined Angi I specified exactly what I needed done. A large number of tree branches to be removed. I specified I would need a chipper and a big truck. On the day the work was to be done one man with his wife and two children showed up with a pickup truck. No branches were removed. Nothing was done and I was still charged ******. Phone calls from the supervisor, ****, go straight to my voicemail without ever ringing or having the ability to answer the call. I've checked, and he isn't blocked on my end. It's something he's doing on his end to skip straight to voicemail. When I call back immediately, I am sent to a call center overseas that is unable to transfer me to anybody who can assist with this matter. The last person I spoke with claimed that he would email **** for me, but he couldn't transfer the call. I still have not heard back.Angi admitted to another lie in the voicemail I received from ****. I asked **** previously if he could pull the call recordings from the salesman I spoke with initially. He claimed that the ONLY way to request call recordings was for me to pay the excessive cancellation fee and pray that they found it in the goodness of their hearts to refund the fee later. However, this BBB complaint allowed them to magically pull the call recordings and listen to them without me paying a fee.
I still have not received a single legitimate lead from Angi, meanwhile, I've received fantastic calls every week from paid advertising on **** and ********. Angi is a waste of money at best, and a complete scam at worst.

When this occurs we do explain that we can only provide the Handyman category per California state laws. Once a valid license is provided to us we can add any categories that the license covers. We have also had a manager call multiple times to discuss Rostyslav's concerns but was unable to connect. They did leave a voicemail each time they called. Complaint Summary: Unauthorized Charges and Unfulfilled Refund Promises On January 30, 2024, I canceled my membership with Angi Leads. Prior to cancellation, I was paying $319 per month and also paid a $771.75 early termination fee to close out the contract.After canceling, I made sure to stop all usage and assumed the account was fully closed. However, despite the cancellation, Angi Leads continued to charge my account for leads totaling over $400 in unauthorized charges even though I was no longer using the app or requesting any services.Upon discovering these charges, I contacted their support team. I have now spoken with them eight times between February and May, and in every call, I was told that my claim was valid and a refund would be issued within 10 business days. However, no refund has been processed to date.After several months with no resolution, I decided to dispute the charges with my bank. In response, Angi sent me a warning from debt collections, and the bank ultimately withdrew the disputed amount from my account.On May 6th their customer service manager, ******, reached out to me. He apologized for the problem, told me that the matter is very important to them and now it surely will be resolved properly within the 10 business day. It is now May 26th, the matter still is not resolved. I repeatedly left him voicemails but never received a *********** this point, I feel the company is deliberately stalling and hoping I will give up. This experience has been both frustrating and time-consuming.
