I keep getting calls from contractors that have gotten my name and number from Angi, **** They say that I filled out a form for a deck replacement. I havent reached out to anyone for any household work in 5 years and certainly not for a deck. I dont have a deck to be replaced. When I need work done in any way, I reach out to the local Amish people. Angi **** seems to be a company that sells information on people that need nothing done. They have told these businesses that they are leads based on consumers applications. I have not filled out an application for any building replacements or even any new construction. It is annoying and unnecessary. Its actually harassment.

An Angi "Pro" came on March 11th, his 1st steps was checking voltage, looking at connections and examining fuses. When he found nothing wrong, he moved on to the control panel, stating that this was the cause of my problem. He pulled the control panel off of the hot tub, to look up a part number so it could be replaced. However he damaged it in the process, as shown in the attached pictures, I was unaware that it had been damaged because he replaced it back as he found it. His wife looked for the part online and left me the part number for me to order. When I called to buy this part, I was told that it was not the correct part for my hot tub as it was rated for 50Hz (European) instead of 60Hz (***). To review, he did not make any repairs, he damaged an unbroken part (the topside control panel) while inspecting it and then gave me the incorrect part number to replace it.The biggest issue though (besides him damaging that control panel) is that he never correctly diagnosed my problem. The 60amp breaker feeding the hot tub had a bad leg, delivering only 120v instead of the needed 240v. This is a simple thing to check, and a professional hot tub repairman should know this. He should have never touched the control panel!!After replacing the malfunctioning breaker (8 days later) I realized I still had an issue. The Jacuzzi authorized technician, and once he showed up (about 3 weeks later) did he show me the damage .I immediately contacted Angi and they directed me to the damage claim form. I've had to resubmit that damage claim several times in the past 2 weeks. Angi continuously denies my claim saying it was not submitted within the time restraints as outlined in my "Happiness Guaranty". I repeatedly explained that I submitted the damage claim the same day I learned of the damage caused by Angi's "pro".

The business has indicated that it is willing to reimburse me for the damages caused by their representative.  This is definitely a positive action as I see it.   However, that transaction has not yet happened.  I would respectfully ask tor keep the case open until after I have received the reimbursement.

On May 7th I received a call regarding Angi ads. The salesperson pressured me into signing a contract without being able to read the entire thing. When I called back to cancel the next day I was informed I would be charged 35% of the contract amount. They lowered the monthly payment instead. After supplying me a few leads they informed me there was no guarantee of how many leads I would get and the quality. Which is the opposite of what the salesperson told me. So now I am stuck paying this fraudulent company thousands of dollars for a sub par service.

I have listed my business on Angis to receive leads for my business, I tried the 1st month and this didn't turn out to be anything similar to what they told me while selling their services. The salesman left details out such as the period of times I will get charged for this service. After seeing how all the leads are not answering, after putting so much effort into them, I finally decided to cancel my membership and ask for refunds since I didn't use the 2nd month of credit I paid. They didn't let me cancel it and raised more issues for me, and now that I have started an email chain, asking them to cancel and issue a refund, they have charged me again! I called and explained the situation but I theyre only refunding the last charge that happened after my emails. I asked to cancel all this as it seems fraudulent but she kept saying no, till she stated that she canceled my account, tried charging my bank account, but it got declined and now I have a balance to pay and if I don't, I have to deal with collection while I wasnt even finish talking! The only thing that they're not lying about is charging me and I am very upset over this scam! I wish we can find a solution that I get my money back and there won't be any further charges. I am going to cancel my debit card and report all this to my bank but I hope this won't go to collection and things end here. I'd really appreciate your help on how to solve this scam. Thank you

We did not receive the services as promised. Despite multiple attempts to contact Angi for assistance, our requests for support went unanswered. Since the issue remained unresolved, we requested a cancellation without a cancellation fee, as the agreed-upon services were not delivered. However, we were still charged a cancellation fee without our authorization.

This company keeps sending me fake leads and trying to charge me for them. the leads they are sending never requested a service or know anything about Angies I also had Spanish speaking people reach out to me in search of employment or federal assistance, when that is something we do not do and we are not currently hiring they are taking peoples information and selling it to us even though these leads are not looking for any services we provide and the were mislead into filing their information for a false advertisement, I have done research and have the data to prove it also they promised to credit me for all of these leads when I spoke to them on Friday 5/19/25 but instead they cancelled some approved credits and are attempting to collect for the rest of the fake leads they have sent me I have phone calls recorded as well as messages from these alleged leads telling me they did not want anyones services nor have they contacted Angies

Booked a job with Angi to install flashing on our roof leading to two covered decks attached to the house. They charged us $224.00 for the booking and I paid over $80.00 for materials. After the job was complete the roof still leaked. Was told they would come out and stop the leaks no charge since we already paid. They rebooked three times no one showed up. Requesting a full refund! We took off work four times for the bookings

Dear Angi Corporate Team, I am writing to formally dispute unauthorized charges incurred during my time as a contractor using Home Advisors lead services (now under Angis ownership). My account was set with a strict **monthly lead spending limit of $300.00**, yet I was charged **over $10,000 for leads I did not use or authorize**. When I refused to pay these clearly erroneous charges, my membership was unjustly canceled. This discrepancy represents a severe breach of the agreed-upon terms. I request the following: 1. **A detailed explanation** of how these charges were allowed to accrue despite my fixed monthly limit. 2. **A full audit** of my account to verify the leads billed and their alignment with my settings. 3. **Reversal of all unauthorized charges** and restoration of my membership in good standing. Given Angis acquisition of Home Advisor, I trust you will resolve this inherited issue fairly. I have attached [any supporting documents, e.g., account screenshots, past communications] for your review. Please respond within **14 days** with a resolution or contact me at the above details to discuss further. Failure to address this may compel me to escalate this matter to consumer protection agencies and explore legal remedies. I appreciate your prompt attention to this serious concern. Sincerely, ******* ******* Swish Painting

We appreciate ********* concerns, and we're so sorry for any misunderstanding regarding the billing for his advertising. After review of the account we can see that ******* did join the network in 2018 and was removed from advertising in 2019. The outstanding balance has been owed since then. We did see that while ******* did have a $300 spend target for standard lead types, but they did also opt into other lead types that would be in addition to the monthly spend target. These lead types were optional, and could be opted into, or out of, at any time. ******* was aware of these lead types, and did not voice any concerns regarding these lead types until nearly a year after advertising had began. Given the amount of time that has past, and ********* interest in rejoining the network, we have made them an offer that removes all interest and late fees on the past due balance. We have also offered 50% off of the original amount due. We have not heard back from them regarding their decision, and ask that they do respond to our most recent email.

Recently opened a pro membership with Angi. After opening a free account I was presented a premium option over the phone and I was told I could could have a 6-month premium account for $350. I was sent a file and told it was only to authorize a background check, but was actually sent a 1-year subscription for 4550, billing over $379 a month. They were cryptic that the supposed $350 was for a monthly subscription, not a 6-month subscription. After calling and explaining the mix up and misrepresentation of the contract and the form, they told me it didn't matter because I had signed the contract, despite being told it was a background check authorization over the phone, and the form reading background check authorization directly above the box you checked. The information was severely misrepresented. I even asked over the phone that charge would be $350 total and they responded "Yes".
