      The WORST BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER! I purchased a GE profile washer and gas dryer from LOWES in Nanuet NY 12/15/2024(a Christmas gift from my husband). LOWES delivered the wrong GE gas dryer unit; I was offered the correct unit. After waiting over 2 weeks for installation, the dryer stopped working 7 days after the 30-day return policy. I contacted the store customer service as I purchased a service warranty, however; I was informed because the unit is new, I needed to contact GE customer service for repair. I contacted GE warranty service, and requested a NEW DRYER UNIT, I was told a BODWELL factory service technician would come out to repair the unit. The technician arrived and stated he would request a new unit but parts for the existing unit was shipped to my home BUT INSTEAD without my knowledge or authorization an appointment was scheduled for technician to return to repair. The technician repaired the unit. This unit has worked less than 10days in total! and STOPPED WORKING AGAIN! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER GE PRODUCT. THIS IS NOT AN AMERICAN OWNED COMPANY; HAIER owns this company now. I AM BEYOND ANGRY. THE TOTAL COST OF THE UNITS IS OVER 2K. I PAID FOR A SERVICE WARRANTY FROM LOWES WHICH ONE YEAR I CAN NOT USE BECAUSE IT IS UNDER THE "NEW" MANUFACTURER WARRANTY. IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS FOR GE AND LOWES I WOULD. BASED ON ALL OF THE REVIEWS, I AM NOW CERTAIN THAT I WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE ENDLESS ANNOYANCE OF REPAIRING THIS DRYER MULTIPLE TIMES! I SHOULD HAVE PURCHASED A MAYTAG OR WHIRLPOOL (SAME COMPANY) I let the LOWES sales associate talk me into buying this. GE USED TO STAND FOR QUALITY, NOT ANYMORE, just a guaranteed headache!

      I just bought a GE washer in April 2024. It stopped working 3 days ago. A technician came out today (2/19/24) as it's till under warranty. They said i need a main control board and it won't be here until March 28th - over a month. This is some BS!!! I will never buy another GE product!!!

      Misleading and erroneous up charged shipping. Not only will GE not recognize the issue of a major recall for the GE front load washer gasket which they cannot stock and has left thousands without the ability to utilize their laundry. Paid for a larger component to be able to remove the one piece I need and paid for expedited shipping which they claim is not actually a real expectation yet the customer is upcharged for.

      My review regarding my washer is essentially the same as the other complaints. I have had my washer for 13 months and the mother board went out. I have been without my washer for almost a month. There is no sense of urgency nor getting my issue resolved quickly

      I would leave zero stars if an option. Do not recommend GE products. I purchased a combination washer /dryer stackable. Within a short time, the handle fell off the dryer/broke. It was over $60 for a new one. I paid for the replacement, and it broke again just shy of a one year mark. If you purchase their products, they are designed to fall apart. But they will sell you membership into a “discount” parts program, so you can keep poring money in the appliance tgat you thought you already bought.

      GE PROFILE COMBO: research and watch YouTube videos of issues known by GE. Purchased the GE Profile Ultrafast Combo Washer and Dryer in October 2023 for over $2,200 and it was delivered broken. Immediately upon turning on, the drum beat the inside of the unit so hard it dented the metal side wall from the inside. It took GE over a month to pickup and replace. The new one has continuously had issues with lint build up on the condenser coils, which makes the unit take 4-8 hours to wash and dry a small load. It has run that long and clothes are still SOAKING wet or need an additional dry cycle. I’ve had GE out to “repair” almost every other month and their response has always been to send me additional filters, which is the issue due to design/engineering. I’ve purchased the lint brush and vacuum attachment and religiously clean it. They have not cleaned the clogged fins or done ANY repairs. The repair techs have stated this is a known issue and they would NEVER buy one. GE offered me a link for ME TO BUY another discounted GE unit. Their resolution after spending over $2k, repair calls monthly for a year plus expenses to go to laundromat (I declined $50 to cover my laundromat expenses) and waste my time is to send 3 poorly designed filters to wash after every load and purchase another one of their products. Their warranty is USELESS and their commitment to stand behind their products is nonexistent. I had an LG front loader from 2009-2023 that still worked, I should’ve kept it.

      GE Washer & Dryer – Ongoing Issues & Poor Service

      We purchased a GE washer and dryer from Costco about 1 year and 9 months ago, and since then, we’ve had five service calls to fix persistent water leaks in the washer and heating issues that require rerunning normal cycles repeatedly. Every time a GE Bodwell technician came, they recommended replacing parts. Despite multiple part replacements, the issues remain unresolved.
      We reached out to Costco for a replacement or refund, but after multiple calls, they stated that since it falls under GE’s extended warranty, they cannot assist with a refund. Meanwhile, GE technicians provide different information in their notes than what they say during home visits. GE representatives only refer to these notes and keep offering another service inspection, creating an endless cycle of frustration.
      This experience with GE’s customer service and warranty department has been incredibly disappointing. I would not recommend GE products, and while Costco’s service is good for the first year, beyond that, you’re on your own.

      My washing machine is 2 months old .. and the mother board is fried !!!! GE tells me I have to wait over a month for parts that are on back order ... I asked them to replace my brand new washer and of course they told me no !!! I will NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER GE PRODUCT!!!!

      HORRIBLE customer service. my wash machine is 13 months old. not even a month after the "1 year warranty" ended and it whole control panel is completely broken and our wash machine is not able to be used in any capacity. The technician cant come out for a whole week, and they can't give me an estimate on how long it will take the part to come in our what the labor costs will be. So now i will be without a washer for at least another 2 weeks and we have no idea how much money we are gonna have to spend on an issue that shouldn't even be occurring since the wash machine is only a year old and we spent $800 on it. When i called the agents gave me attitude and basically said we are shit out of luck because there is nothing they can do to help. I will never purchase another GE product in my life. We have wasted hundreds at the laundromat and so much time and energy on this stupid washer.

      After owning my dryer (model PTD60EBPRDG) for a little over two years, my dryer stopped heating. After dismantling the dryer, I discovered that the heating element wire caught fire and damaged the heating element terminal, and now I have to replace both parts for over $175. This is a fire hazard and is unacceptable. This should be recalled. GE knew this was a design flaw, so they came out with a newer wire with a thicker gauge. I will never buy a GE appliance again. I am going to report GE to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission as well.
