Absolute garbage! Bought a GE dishwasher from Lowes 7 months ago and STILL have not been able to use it! The 1st one we got looked like it had been used so lowes replaced it but it took some time. By the time we got the replacement it had taken them 2-3 weeks. The replacement didn't even work. We were told we had to go through GE warranty which its absolutely a joke. We've had to have a tech out here more than 7 times and it's still not working! Can't seem to get anywhere with this horrible company! The worst company for appliances!

I bought a stackable washer and dryer for my new home. Less than a year later, parts of the dryer fell off, and the auto e-drying setting stopped working, but I could still use the timed dryer. A technician came twice, and it was supposed to “have been repaired” after the second time. After putting clothes in the dryer right after the supposed repair, the machine no longer has heat meaning it was left in worse condition than before it was serviced. A technician came for the third time, and said it was now working. I tested it in his presence and again no heat. Then he said he hadn’t seen this problem before and had to order the whole dryer part.
I was scheduled for yet a fourth appointment so I still have a non-working dryer.
Buying this laundry unit was a waste of my money and has been a waste of my time.

I ordered a wrong filter part from GE appliances and called hours later to see if I could stop the order and reorder the right one. Same price. The customer service rep flat out stated it was already sent. I then got a confirmation 3 days later that it was being processed and hasn’t been sent out yet. I was willing to pay the restocking fee since it was my mistake however their inability to help customers is ridiculous. I emailed stating that their CS lied and they stated the following:
      Thanks for contacting our office.
I so understand your frustration. I would advise that you do not refuse the package and take position and contact our Returns Team to get the part returned. If you refuse the package it will take longer for you to get your refund on the order.
To process and request a return/reorder, please contact the GE Credits/Returns Department at 1-800-477-xxxx. Their hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. CST.
      Best Regards,
      GE Appliance Parts Team
I then called the returns department to get the ball rolling but of course until I receive the product, I can’t return it.
Poor customer service. I will be flat out refusing the product.

We purchased a GE washing machine in June of 2020. Had to make first service call on it within the first year while still under warranty. Machine again quit working. Had GE service come out and hook up their licensed computer program to diagnose. Tech couldn’t find anything wrong other than maybe needing new “shocks” to help with balancing. Spent over $300 and machine was still broke. Called GE service again and another tech came out and again couldn’t find anything wrong. He started a cycle said it was good and left. I started to wash 2 towels and machine started and then just stopped. Tried calling tech back but got no answer. I called service center and was told next available appointment would be 3 days later. When I asked to speak with a service manager I was told one was not available and I would need to call back as they do not make outbound calls. I called and spoke to a manager in Consumer Relations dept. this morning. Again, nothing he could do to get a tech out here sooner. He then proceeded to tell me to feel free to call a repair service of my choice since my machine was 2 years out of warranty. Well that would be great if I hadn’t already paid GE over $300 to NOT repair it and I have had 2 repair services tell me they can’t work on GE because GE has a computer program that they are not able to get. Not so sure that program even works. Never will I ever purchase from GE again.

I purchased a ge monogram oven bsck in June 2019, after doing major research between a few different companies. After contacting many neighbors and friends I decided on the monogram which is the creme de la creme if all the ge ovens.
In March 2020,the oven stopped working and I had to have the igniter replaced, which is very unusual for a monogram.. the igniter should last much longer than thst as I was told by the ge service repairman and my friends who had it for more than five years without replacing any part yet.
Fast forward toOctober,2021 the oven stopped working again and the igniter had to be replaced . I knew something was wrong because this shouldn’t have happened to a brand néw oven let alone a “ monogram”!!!
Being that the warranty expired in June 21,2021
Ge gave me a letter of commitment stating that if the same thing happened again in the next twelve months, they would replace the part.
Fast forward September 2022, same thing again.. and this time the oven required two replacement parts the range igniter and global igniter..ge repairman did fix it but now I’m wondering when is the next time it will burn out the oven is a little over 2 years old and had the same parts replaced 3 times. I don’t use this oven every night as I have another ge oven thst I use for dairy , and haven’t had any parts replaced since I bought it over 6 years ago.
I paid over 6500 for this oven and all I have is aggravation from it. After speaking with ge customer service they refuse to replace it , and I can assure you the same thing will happen again within the year as well. Obviously this oven is a lemon and that’s why it keeps on malfunctioning.
I am so unhappy with ge appliances and customer service as well, I would never buy another ge appliance again!

Does GE even have a customer service line because I sat on hold for 3 hours and no end to their terrible music? I had to hang up the phone because I've gone mad.

We bought a new GE Refrigerator, Double Oven and Microwave from **** ***** in 2021-2022. Only 8 months after the $400 Microwave was installed it went out. We replaced the fuse and it shorted again. We put in a GE service request and it took nearly 2 weeks to get a tech out to repair it. He couldn't and said he needed to order a part for it. Nearly 3 weeks later he comes back, installs said part and it still doesn't work. (This is the Monday of THANKSGIVING week, a week one REALLY needs their microwave)! I called Customer Relations at this point. Actually you can't call customer relations at GE... you have to call the service department, then one guy said to call back and hit #4. That didn't work. So I wait on hold again for the service department and that person was able to transfer me (why didn't the first guy?). Then I waited on hold for 45mins until I got to talk to a lady who really didn't care AT ALL that I spent $400 on a microwave and it wouldn't be working on Thanksgiving week! She said she couldn't do anything until the tech who had been to my house that morning entered his notes. He has 48 hours to do so! A week later I get an email from her saying the tech ordered parts and will be back on 12/7 (a Wednesday - yes, people I do have a job and can't take off every time you want to ATTEMPT to fix my lemon microwave!). So, nearly two months later.... I will still not have a working microwave and GE could CARE LESS! I am so angry that I have a kitchen full of new appliances from this horrible company because I know I will have to go through this mess EVERY time I need a repair. REPLACE the microwave you've sent a guy out twice to fix and it can't be fixed! Have a warehouse of parts that your techs can get to without having to wait weeks to ship every little part they need to TRY to fix an appliance! DO BETTER!

Ge continues to make refrigerators for years that don’t met factory default cooling setting or FDA settings. Ge default settings are 37 degrees in fridge and 0 for freezer. FDA states the fridge should be 40 degrees or colder. I had a GE refrigerator I never had a problem with for 7 years and it always stayed at 37 degrees. Reviews after Reviews for years have and had their refrigerator temperatures register at as high as 47 degrees even having 3rd party warranty service people telling customers that is normal because they don’t want to fix the issues. I purchase a new refrigerator that had the same problem as my old one and had not one but 2 replacements after that with the same issues as listed above from me and many other customers for years but GE continues to build refrigerators with the same issues for years and fells to fix the issue.

The service department is awful. We have a freezer/refrigerator that is leaking and an ice machine that doesn’t work. The service department has rescheduled our appointment multiple times. No one is offering any real solutions to get the problem fixed in a timely fashion. Our food has been damaged, and we have limited use of the appliance. We’re just hoping they actually show up to repair the appliance when they’re supposed to this time. I have purchased GE products in the past, but after this experience I will never purchase a GE product again, and I will advise all seeking appliances to avoid this company due to their terrible consumer services and service department.

I purchased a new build house in 3/2022 my oven, stove, and dishwasher were all the GE appliance suite. Well whoeve installed the dishwasher did a crap job and it constantly moves everywhere but that isn't the biggest issue. The biggest issues is I went to self clean one of my wall ovens as I have double ovens and it wnt through the entire cycle and then while cooling down the oven turned off completely. I googled and it says this is normal apart of the process and to wait until it cools down. the next day it still is off i try to flip breakers and nothing. I call GE Cares and they say they can send me someone in December since I cant open the doors to find the serial number. I end up getting a hanger to open the oven door to ge the serial number. I call back and was set up a service call for 11/22 between 8-12am. i was told to call the services to give them a heads up as to what was going on with my ove prior to the service call which I did. The service window comes and goes so i call GE Care and the first guy tells me I can call them back myself, I call back and the second person was much nicer but apparently teh servicer said they will call me in a few hours to set up an appointment for Monday 11/28. I took time off for the service appt, I have a confirmation email, left 2 messages with the vendor and nothing. This is horrible service, oh and if you get anyone to look at it other than GEs people it voids the warranty, but thier vendors don't make thier appotinments. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM GE! Beyond upsetting, needless to say I will have no thanksgiving thanks to GE CARES and most likely not have an oven for Christmas making it over a month before they fix thier crap equipment. WHY HAVE A SELF CLEAN OPTION IF YOU SHOULDNT USE IT! maybe they should not sell faulty appliance instead of blaming consumers?
