I purchased a top-of-the-line refrigerator in July. Approx. one month later it began making a grinding noise. Since then there's been a comedy of errors with TWO different repair companies, "accidental" cancellation of service appts. by GE, a needed part not being ordered, on and on and on. It's now Nov. 18 and the appliance STILL isn't repaired. I feel like GE is trying to run out the clock on my warranty.

Purchased a GE microwave on 12/4/21 for my 89 year old father. 11 months later (right before 1 year warranty expires) will not turn on at all. After two phone calls to the warranty department and an on line chat with customer service where you have to enter your credit card information to chat with a technician, I just gave up and bought a new microwave for my 89 year old father as this has stressed him out so much it isn’t worth ever purchasing a GE appliance again.

We moved into a new house in January 2022. It had a new GE dishwasher (model #GDT630PYROFS) which seemed to work. However, we recently discovered a 'flaw' in the design.
Per their installation manual, the dishwasher is attached to the cabinet sides by TWO screws, towards the top on each side. This creates a 'swivel point' (much like a swing), where if you push in at the bottom of the dishwasher, the entire unit SWIVELS. While this may not sound like a problem, pulling out the bottom tray, while loaded with dishes, CAUSES the swivel, resulting in both trays sliding forward.
Contacting GE was useless; they had no solution to prevent this, other than having a 'certified installer' come out at my cost. This, while I HAD the an installer in my kitchen, trying to resolve this issue.
The manufacturer should provide some way to anchor the BOTTOM of the dishwasher, so it doesn't swivel.

GE does not engage competent service providers to fulfill their warrenty obligations. I have a refrigerator that is being covered as a warranty since the problem arose during the warranty period. However, the service provider they assigned to my issue does not seem to have the staff to adequately evaluate my problem, order the correct repair parts and follow through when problems occur. The latest issue involves a part supposedly on backorder but in fact was discsontinued. The service provider referred me to an unidentifiable business to pursue this issue. Calling the number I was given asked me to select from five options, none of which was answered. I am reasonably certain this last business is not GE.
GE needs to review their service provider arrangments so as to provide customers with adequate help.
As for me, I would not recommend anyone to purchase GE products unless and until this situation is corrected.

Would rate this 0 if I could. Bought a GE French Door fridge for over 2,300 dollars! It lasted 1 year and about 6month. What kind of trash is this! We have had the ice maker break within a year, and now its not cooling. We have had 6 technicians come over, 1st time they look and order parts, 2 time they come and install parts. Still didn't fix cooling. 3rd time he then comes over to try again. and it still not working. Freezer at 40 degrees and fridge at 40-50 degrees. 4th time another tech comes over and looks and orders more parts. 5th time comes and installs and still not cooling correctly because of leak. 6th time tries to fix leak. Now freezer is at 40 degree lol this is a joke.
I get this email after submitting a complaint to them and been in contact with them.
This email is regarding the GE Profile refrigerator to inform you that the request to replace the appliance is denied because it hasn't been deemed non-repairable so it doesn't qualify for replacement. However, a service appointment can be scheduled to address the no-cooling issue. Please call Consumer Relations for assistance. If you have any questions please let me know! When replying to this email, please don't change the subject line, or try to copy and paste my email address into a new email, or the email will not find its way back to us. Just hit reply and send.

The product itself was fine. It is the service that GE provides. Had to make a claim to extended warranty company after a power surge took out the stove. After GE cancelling the service multiple times, finally asked I had the part. No as no one ever came to look at the stove to order a part, was told they don’t come out until part is there. They ordered part, finally came after waiting almost two months for service, put part in but didn’t check anything else on stove except to see if oven started to warm. Broiler doesn’t work and it takes forever to pre heat oven. Now I’ll wait again for another service tech. Very very poor service! He should checked it all out after I explained what happened to take it out in the first place. Better yet… how about coming to look at it to determined all
That is wrong instead of just ordering a part cause “that’s what it usually is” as I was told.

I bought my dish washer on line threw Home Depo. They delivered it and the guy that delivered it said something was wrong with my plumbing. So I called a plumber and he said nothing was wrong with the part but he changed it anyway. So the guy they sent to put in the dishwasher. Left a big gap between counter and dishwasher. Turned on the dish washer and left. He left plastic in it and there. I called GE and they sent him back. I told him about the gap and the plastic but he said that's how it's suppose to be. Then I checked the cycles and they didn't work. Also the heating element wasn't working. I called GE and they said they couldn't exchange it and that it would have too be fixed. Then SMTS company said they had to order parts and it wouldn't come in till November. Then GE decided to send me another one. The guy that came to put that in said they couldn't because something having to do with my plumbing and had to get another company to put it in. This has been since July 26. So this other company came and put it in right. But now the heating element still doesn't work. Now they still want to come and fix it. They sent in the SMTS and the guy said dishwashers don't dry plastic. I just want my money back. This is ridiculas!!!! Then these companies want you to be home all day waiting for them. I can't do this any more!!! I just want my MONEY BACK!!!!

I purchased a GE washer, model GTW680BSJ6WS in 2018. After a year of owning the washer, half of the control board went out, so only a few cycles were available for use. I kept using the washer without full functionality, until the control board went completely out. I called GE to get a service call scheduled, and they want $109 for the service call, $198 for the control board, plus labor. I asked how much labor fees would be, and they couldn't answer that. They say it's based on what the technician finds that is wrong with the appliance. I asked them to call a technician to see if they could answer the question I had about labor charges, and they said the "could not guarantee a call back". I am facing the same amount in charges to fix a problem thousands of others have with this particular model that I paid for this washer brand new. Why hasn't GE addressed the control board issue and have setup a recall on this model? I am beyond frustrated!

After purchasing a dual oven which was delivered on august 6,2022, the oven does not work . The oven comes on and shuts off after a few minutes. I had three tech services in which the last tech lied and told customer service that he felt uncomfortable after me expressing this is not right I should have a stove for months and it doesn’t work. ge informed me because he’s not comfortable they will not service stove RACISM AT ITS FINEST!! He clearly was racist the first time and now I have no oven after spending 2,300 on a ge product I’ve been blackballed. This is not fair. I’m African American and I’ve never been so disrespected in my life. And he got away with it
Instead of he saying we won’t send him again they went with his notion. Ge this is not right

I purchased a GE profile refrigerator at the end of July 2022 only to have it go out at the end of August 2022! When I called for service I was told someone would contact me in 24 hours, no one ever did! I called back 2 days later, complained, so they transferred me to another department which I think is the Customer Service line (what a joke!) where I was told I already had a service appointment scheduled for the next day?! How was this possible when I hadn't spoken to anyone? She essentially lied to me so she wouldn't have to hear my complaints.
I had to call back, yet again, and this time I FINALLY was able to get an appointment set for a couple weeks later. Two weeks is a lifetime if you don't have a working refrigerator. The tech showed up on time, and was nice. He found the problem, a leaking line on a BRAND NEW REFRIGERATOR! Of course I had to wait on the part so it was another week until my fridge was working. Once repaired, it runs so LOUD, like a freight train in my kitchen! It's ridiculous! I called for a repair at the end of August, and it wasn't until the end of September that it was working again.
Fast forward to 1.5 weeks ago, I open my fridge and there's a HORRENDOUS smell coming from it! Of course I look for any rotted food, etc. Mind you my fridge is practically empty because I'm single, no children to cook for, etc. The smell is NOT associated with anything in my fridge. I call the service line requesting a new fridge as I'm sick of the issues! I'm told that I would need to call the customer service line however before ending the call I was assured I wouldn't be put through any hoops, yeah right!
I call the service line today, 11/14/22, and am advised that I must schedule an appointment w/the tech. So the next available appointment isn't until 12/1. I have a sinking suspicion that the leak caused mold to grow. I paid $3,800 for this piece of junk! After the issues I've had they should offer me a replacement! Total junk!
