I purchased a GE suite for our kitchen remodel. Our 4 door refrigerator is junk.
Purchased delivered 09/21 and installed in December2021. Within a month our freezer iced over and called GE for repair. Service was performed but just a few days later more work was needed. Midwest Appliance Repair worked on drawer gaskets which seemed to fix the problem. But it did it again on 11/13/2022.
I called GE and they said it was out of manufacturer warranty and we would have to call our extended warranty service. I told them that twice I had to throw out spoiled food from our freezer totaling approximately $500. They gave me a number to contact Customer Relations but it would not let me talk with anyone unless I had an existing claim. When I looked on GE website the number they have is just a circle back to GE Service who did not help me prior to this. I will never purchase or recommend another GE product.

One of the more expensive dryers on the market. Bought this for the warranty and the size. The machine broke within 10 months. GE fails to schedule onsite repair for over a month and tells me to "be patient". The 10 year warranty isn't honored by the company and should be treated as a scam. Shows you the "quality" US brands hold (though pretty sure they got bought out).

In 2018 I purchased an entire suite of GE Kitchen Appliances. Four years later the bottom of the rack in the dishwasher is falling apart and I had to have a technician come out and replace a circuit board because it stopped working. Now my above the range microwave has also stopped working. I cannot find anyone outside of GE itself to come repair it. Considering I just spent hundreds of dollars to have my dishwasher repaired I did not want to pay an additional service fee. I asked GE Customer Service to waive the fee and they said they would not. They offered 50% off the parts. I declined their offer and advised them I would contact the BBB. I also advised them I would not buy another GE Appliance.
When I was a child I helped my dad install a GE Microwave and it was still working when the house was sold 25 years later. Their new line of appliances can't make it to the 5 year mark.

I purchased a new GE Profile Top Load washer May 2022. On October 12th, the washer stopped working mid-cycle and can't be reset. GE sent a service tech and he determined it needed a new control panel and user interface (really, after 5 months!). The parts were suppose to arrive in 2 weeks. A phone call to the repair company after 2 weeks, revealed the parts were back ordered until December 12th! Several calls and hours on hold waiting for a person to speak with has got me nothing more than a parts search (review) by GE. I have been without a washing machine for 5 weeks now, and no hope of it being fixed in the near future. I have never experienced such horrible customer service and am extremely disappointed in GE's apparent inability to replace my washer. DO NOT buy GE appliances, low quality product and customer service. No wonder the company is splitting apart soon...

I now have replaced the handle on my 8 year old GE refrigerator for the 5th time. A stainless steel non-mechanical handle should last forever. The GE handles break so often that I now purchase 2 at a time.

Purchased GE dishwasher Model # GDF530PGM4WW in January of this year. By September it was not draining and shutting itself off so I called for service. I was told by the repair tech that it was installed improperly and that is why it wouldnt drain. Turns out it was NOT installed incorrectly. 2nd service call tech ordered a bunch of parts and we were told to wait till they arrive to schedule new appointment. 3rd service call new parts were installed and it still didnt work. During this service call I left the room and came back in to find he had moved to another room and was repairing the dishwasher on the carpeted floor where he was more comfortable. The tech that was sent out 3 of the 4 times is elderly, very sweet, but not able to move well or effectively work on the appliance. New parts were ordered and once again we were told to wait for the parts to arrive and then schedule service. It has now been 2 months and it is still not working. GE continues to send the same inept repair tech even though I was told by two managers that he would not come again. Finally, after speaking to the supervisor of case managers I was told GE didnt have another tech that could come. I was also told that if I wanted to escalate things any further I would have to send a letter to a P.O. Box and wait to see if anyone got back to me. There was no way to email or speak to anyone above the supervisor of case managers. I highly caution against anyone purchasing a GE appliance. They do not have the staff or ability to service the appliance. Worst customer service I have ever had as well as incompetent repair techs.

I purchased my home in January of 2021. It came with a GE oven (model #JB645RK6SS, serial #LR018824Q). After researching the range, I noticed that it was manufactured in 2020 which means that this model is only 2 years old. I have used it for well over a year and about 2 weeks ago it started to smell like burnt plastic when I turned it on. I assumed that it needed cleaning, so I cleaned it and it continued to emit the same smell. About a week ago it started to smoke as well. I contacted GE customer support on 10/31/22 and was told that the earliest service technician appointment would be 11/7/22. The customer support representative, Tara, was very nice and was apologetic that it was a week out. Because she expressed empathy and was so polite, I was willing to wait a week, without use of a stove, for this issue to be resolved. I was contacted at 8:12am on 11/7/22 by Karen from GE appliances. She informed me that their technician called out sick and that I needed to reschedule my appointment to 11/14/22. She was very rude and expressed no remorse. She wouldn't even offer her name until I asked for it. I asked if she could give me a specific time to expect the technician, as you must be available the entire day (8am-5pm). She told me that she would schedule it from 8am-12pm. When I checked my appointment online it is for the entire day. I am upset because I am without a stove for another week, and she lied. How can a company like GE not have any other technicians on call? This is such an inconvenience and to call someone and not offer an apology and have an attitude is so ridiculous to me. I think that if you are going to work in customer support that you should have a different attitude. You should put yourself in the customer's shoes and see if you would be okay with being told that you must go 2 weeks without a stove and deal with a rude person on the other end of the phone forcing you to reschedule your appointment.

While GE used to be top of the line, I now rank them at the bottom. Just waiting to see if my last phone call is going to take care of the problem. They have the worst customer service program I have ever tried to talk to. They come across as helpful, but it is just to get rid of you. Promises to call back, promises that replacement has been ordered, take your payment for order and then never process or order replacement, Always apologetic but blunders and misinformation one after another. I wish I had recorded my calls. My final word is don’t buy from GE or pray you never have a problem. If I don’t get a return call today I will probably have to file a complaint with BBB. I’m out over $800.00 on a replacement refrigerator for mine that has unrepairable manufacturer defects. Been trying since August. I really think my refrigerator should be replaced for free but now that I have ordered a new one I hope to receive it in 7to 10 days . They really do not care about their customers.

We bought a profile dishwasher on 7/22/2021 model pdt715SYNFS . Within the first year it stopped working and we had to call a technician to come fix it. About a year after purchase it stopped working properly. We called GE and they sent a contracted technician , which cost us 184$ just for the technician to come out. He said the heat unit doesn’t work and to replace it would be about $700. We called GE to customer relations and we talked to Andreena on 10/26/22. She opened a claim , #0884680, and she offered us 60% discount on a new dishwasher in the same model. She said she would send it for review and see if she could get us 90% discount. She said it would take two days and will contact us. She never contacted us. We sent her two emails to see if they have come up with an answer and we got no response. We called customer relation for GE and we left them a message and she didn’t didn’t respond to us . A few days later we called again and we talked to a representative that said only Andreena can talk to us and she said we will leave a message with Andreena and she will answer us In two days . She never answered us.we sent her another email and she never responded. We tried to file a complaint with BBB and they said because we purchased the dishwasher more than a year ago we can’t. The next step will be to go to the General Attorney of Washington State. How can it be that in order ti fix a new dishwasher it costs more than it is worth ?!
