We purchased a GE Profile dishwasher for $1200 in June. It has never worked. It is now August. I have had THREE service appointments, have had the motherboard replaced, the electrical components on top replaced, and the dishwasher still does not run. In attempting to get the FOURTH appointment scheduled, the technician informed me that the part will not be here until September!! This is completely unacceptable. Customer relations will not help and keep you on hold for hours. Do not waste your time on this company or it’s products. $1200 down the drain with no resolution in sight.

I purchased a new GE refrigerator 11/2018 and the first repair was within 3 months 2/2019, the second was 6 months later 8/2019. When it broke the first time I asked if it could be replaced and I was told “NO”. That refrigerator has been repaired every year since purchasing it. Now there’s almost $700 worth of repairs needed. I’ve replaced the motor twice and the repairman that did the repair said it’s not the motor it’s the control board. GE doesn’t care!

Purchased GE Cafe set for kitchen. Had to have the fridge repaired immediately as the fridge showed up damaged. The seal was messed up on the Freezer. The stove had problems, so they took it back. Had two more delivered and came to the conclusion they were coming from the manufacture in poor condition, and it is what it is. Then from the start the oven shuts off when you open the door to check on what you are cooking. This happens with the top and bottom oven. We have lived with this nonsense for a few years. Since my ice maker is not working, I decided to have them fix both. Of course, it will be at my expense. My service apt was from 8-noon. It is 230 and no one from this cracker jack company has called to let me know the status. No concern for a customer's time. Never buy from this company. If you do, you will be sorry. If you need a repair good luck having someone show up on time let alone show up at all.

I purchased a brand new GE washing machine and within six months the belt broke and the sensor needs replaced! A tech came and said he’d have to order parts straight from GE, and be back. That’s been a month ago now!! I’ve been without a washing machine for a MONTH. A new washing machine that should work for ever!! The worst part may be, trying to get answers. After 9 phone calls, 4 emails and TWO hours wait time on the phone… with no solutions… I’m throwing this piece of junk in the dump and getting me a speed queen!! I WILL NEVER BUY GE again and I’ve told everyone I know not to as well!! GE is GARBAGE!!!

Ordered trash compactor (TC) on 1 March and was delivered and installed on 3 May.
It was used for the first time 17 May and found it was broken. We contacted the appliance store (where we ordered it from) and they told us to contact GE.
      18 May - Called GE.
GE scheduled a second party repair technician, who passed the work off to one of their subs.
Work was scheduled for 23 May (which they subsequently cancelled) and rescheduled it for 27 May.
The technician spent 30 minutes and left. After 10 days of hearing nothing, I called the repair company on 6 June and they said they could not fix the TC and that I needed to contact GE again.
I then called GE (again) and attempted to set up another repair.
On 13 June, different technician came out, spent 2 hours and troubleshooted the TC. During his inspection, he found that the 2 Power Nut Assemblies were stripped, and the directional switch and the main switch were inoperable. He ordered the replacement parts.
The repairs were scheduled for 29 June.
On 29 June, we received notice that the repair would need to be rescheduled since we only had three of the four parts required.
On 11 July, 2 Techs installed the new parts. They told said that they had experienced several problem calls with this particular compactor (and GE compactors as a whole) as the Power Assemblies gears are not made of metal and therefore are prone to stripping. They spent hours replacing the parts and running the compactor. Their final word of advice and caution was: "We STRONGLY recommend NOT putting any cans or bottles in the trash compactor as the plastic power nut assemblies will likely strip and fail due to the pressure required to compact cans and bottles.
It worked for 5 compacting cycles (no bottles/cans!) It is broken, again.
I asked GE Consumer Relations to refund my money. They said they could not. It had to be repaired again, until "someone" says it is "non-repairable."
      I am fed up.

We have 3 Haier AC units that are great. One of them did not run properly after we lost power. GE was great and said it was more cost effective for them, for us to get a new one. Great!! Here’s where things went sour. To get a new one, we needed to first buy it. So, we bought a new one. Then, GE mails out a “certificate of Good Will Rebate”, which I need to mail back in with a receipt. However, they don’t use the word receipt on the certificate. So, I find something that has different wording and call to find out if they’ll accept the form. I spend 45 minutes speaking with several different representatives at several different phone numbers, all of whom say their department doesn’t handle my question. I get on the chat. The woman there tells me she sends me the receipt after I send her my email address. It doesn’t appear in my in box. I refresh and refresh and nothing. I ask for her name and operator ID. She asks me for my email address again and what do you know?? The receipt immediately shows up in my inbox. I mail everything at the end of June. It’s the end of July and I still haven’t received a check from them, so I call to find out what’s going on. I’m told it takes 6 to 8 weeks for a check to be sent to them (not me!!!) from the time they receive my rebate certificate. THEN, they mail me a check. I am grateful that they are sending me a check and that in the end, we will be reimbursed for the 2nd unit, which is working just fine. However, should it really take over 2 months for me to get a refund for my second purchase??? It is so incredibly frustrating. The average consumer is not as fortunate as I am to have the time to make the calls that I’ve made to get things done. But I bet criminals do? So, why not make it easier for the consumer to get a new unit??

Bought a hot point dryer made by GE on Oct 27 21 on July 14th 22 under the 1 year warranty it stopped working... as of today july 24th we have been without a dryer and they say it will be Aug 4th before someone may be able to come...They seem to care not that Im not able to dry clothes as I don;t have a clothes line, and can;t be out in the heat and humidity... I would love a refund or replacement, they don;t offer that...this company has gone to complete hell... We have talked to at least 15 people on the run around train they have put my husband and I on....Shame on GE for not backing your appliances and not caring how long some one has to go without,, we paid our hard earned money and GE disregards that... they could care less... Mad as heck and telling everybody about it.. Carol Garrison...

This is a company that does not fulfill its commitments. An appointment was set to replace one of their refrigerators. I have an 80 year old elderly father here in Florida in sweltering heat and have had to buy and cook food that can only be used for a day. In any event, they requested confirmation of the date and received it but changed it without proper notice nor justification. You would think that the elderly would be given more courtesy and understanding in these circumstances but apparently the company makes decisions without taking into account those who are in greater need of our support and care. A commitment is a commitment and when you can't abide by it even after that commitment has been confirmed nor give a legitimate reason for it the message is loud and clear, customers are not valued nor given common courtesy. Who would want to do business with a company like that?
