1 starWe purchased a GE front load washer Model GFW550SSNFWW on 11/30/23. On 12/23/24 the machine stopped working. We contacted the department store we purchased the machine from. They came out 2 times to attempt to make repairs. First time 1/3/25 said it was the discharge pump. 2nd time 1/9 came out to replace the discharge pump and determined it was the control board. At this time the department store told us to contact GE directly to see if it would be covered under warranty. GE was contacted and sent out a subcontracted service tech out on 1/15. His inspection determined the control panel was damaged, but it was a result of a cracked drum. Again, I contacted GE to inform them of what their tech had stated. GE set up another appointment to have one of their own techs come out to look at the washing machine. He arrived at my home on 1/23. This tech had no previous knowledge of what the previous techs had looked at or tried to resolve. We had told him that 2 other tech's had looked at the machine and determined it was the control panel and a cracked drum. GE's tech's response was that he "didn't have time" to look at my machine and "he was fixing other tech's messes" and left my house. The tech refused to give his name and would not send us a report of his visit. I called GE customer support on 1/23 and 1/24 to file a complaint about this technician and scheduled another appointment for service not available until 1/30. I spoke to customer service supervisor on 1/27 to discuss my displeasure with service to this point and I was assured the service tech would be out on 1/30 and would my issue to resolution and GE would handle the repairs under warranty. I got a call today 1/30 from GE service department that they would not be coming out to repair my machine and to contact customer service. Customer service informed me I was placed on a "do not service list" and they would no longer be helping me. Beyond frustrated and dissatisfied with GE. wish I could leave 0 starsReview fromGary K

5 starsBack in 2007, we purchased a washer and dryer to ship to the Philippines for use. The washer Mod WDSR2080G2ww AM137357G; the dryer DBLR33EG1WW LM718148A......while we were not able to get the dryer working due to lack of technician and seemed like inside was not able to rotate, the washer has served us well up until 12/24. While in a rinse spin cycle it died. These was such a great machine for us and after approx 17 years it died. This machine was on a power transformer due to 220v normally; so had it on 110-120v part of transformer. Indeed your product saw a lot of loads over the years. Was totally satisfied. We also shipped two refrigerators which I will review in another entry. Thanks for quality products.

1 starHorrible company !!!! I brought a refrigerator September of 2023 from Home Depot. Just after a year of having the appliances the compressor to the fridge goes out a week before thanksgiving .I reached out to GE Bodewell to get the fridge serviced and fixed. They send a tech out to diagnose the issue and confirmed that the compressor is not working. They ordered the parts and a week later fridge was repaired on 11/29/24. Tech advised not to run the fridge for 24 hours. Waited the 24 hours plug the fridge up and it was working fine. No less than a day later the fridge goes out again. Reach back out to GE on 12/2/24 to let them know that the fridge issue was not resolved. So they send out another tech 12/6/24 who was unprepared to complete the job. So finally they send out another tech on 12/27/24 and this tech says that the fridge is broken and is unfixable. Had a third company come out and they stated whoever installed the compressor did a horrendous job and didn’t solder the compressor properly. So the fridge ended up leaking Freon and oil. Reached out to GE again to see what they can do to resolve my issue. They stated they won’t replace the fridge and offered me $400 discount on a new fridge. I declined of course. My fridge was over $2k. This whole situation with this company was so stressful and unprofessional. They rather spend the money to have a tech come out every time to do nothing than just replace my fridge. Don’t ever buy a GE BODEWELL appliance. Only if I could leave 0 stars !!!!Review fromLisa T

1 starWe purchased a Model GTW335ASN2WW top load washer on 10/27/2023. Barely 3 months out of the warranty the transmission has failed, with a repair estimate ($467) almost as much as we paid for the machine. We contacted GE (per their technician’s suggestion) and were very rudely told it was out of warranty and there was nothing they could do for us. As a retired, empty nest couple who just doesn’t do a lot of laundry we feel very strongly that any other purchaser would have experienced failure during the warranty period, and also that the Uniform Commercial Code would imply that a major appliance should be expected to last longer than 15 months.Review fromJennifer G

5 starsMy 3 year, 3 month old refrigerator/freezer was no longer keeping items in the freezer frozen so I called an appliance company for service. Their response to the issue they discovered was for me to contact GE directly to have them service the unit. They told me they were very surprised to see this particular issue on such a young unit and that it is such a costly repair that most people by new appliances instead of doing the repair. Needless to say, I was very upset since I spent $2700 for this one thinking it was a quality GE product and would last a long time. I contacted GE and initially was more frustrated because they only warrant their products for a year...even if it's a major issue as this was...and I thought GE would be better about standing behind their products. A week later when the technician came for the service appointment, my faith in the GE company was restored! The tech found the same issue that the appliance company had found and he replaced the part with a brand new, upgraded one free of charge! He explained the part was one the company has seen several other issues with before and GE did not want that reflecting poorly on their company so that is why they took care of the problem for me free of charge. THANK YOU GE!!!! I am so thankful that you stood behind your product and I will continue to buy appliances from your company in the future!Review fromCarol N

1 starPurchased a front-load GE washing machine in 2020 from Lowes. The machine broke down in 12/2024. I was told the washer could not be repaired because parts were unavailable. Several technicians advised me that GE no longer made the part needed to fix the machine and that I should buy a new one. I had a "chat" with customer care at GE, who said. Unfortunately, she could not help and gave me another number to call and a case #. I proceeded to call the number and each time I tried to enter option #4 (case number) the phone hung up! This experience is a nightmare, and I cannot get anyone from GE to own the problem. I have spent a fortune on having clothes washed by an outside service. I'm not sure where else to turn to.Review fromLila V

1 starIn 2020, I purchased a new home and got 4 GE Profile appliances. (Refrigerator, Stove, Dishwasher and Microwave) After owning these appliances, 3 of the 4 have had to be replaced. The microwave had to be replaced just after 1 year, and the dishwasher had to be replaced on year 3. (Both appliances had a 1 year warranty) The refrigerator in particular has caused so much stress in our home. This appliance alone was $4000. The compressor and evaporator fan had to be replaced 3 different times on this appliance. There is a 5 year warranty on the sealed system for the higher end GE Profile; however, GE refused to replace my refrigerator. Each time, the fridge and freezer completely stopped working, and all of my food was spoiled. This happened 3 different times, and hundreds of dollars of food were wasted. Also, it would take about a month to fix each time, so we were forced to buy a smaller fridge to keep in our garage for emergencies. They would just come and replace the compressor and fan, and a few months later they would both break again. The technicians that would come to my home were rude, scary and would not even attempt to find the cause of the issue. The customer service phone line was even worse. The refrigerator was only 4 years old, and it was basically useless. GE charged us $1400 to have the unit replaced, instead of honoring their warranty. We had no choice but to pay this amount, because the original fridge was obviously a lemon. There are already issues with this new refrigerator, and a technician had to come back out to our home 5 days after it was delivered. I have ZERO faith that it will keep my food safe. Dealing with GE has been a nightmare.Review fromMisty H

1 starWe purchased a stove at Lowe’s. We have had issues with it from the beginning. We contacted the store and was directed to call GE. It’s been nothing but a run around. One company comes orders the wrong parts. Then a second company orders parts again and over 10 days we have yet to hear from them. The first company comes back in the meantime just randomly showing up when we wasn’t at home. It’s been pure hell with the company and dealing with the people they hire. We need a new stove… DO NOT EVER BUY A GENERAL ELECTRIC APPLIANCE THEY ARE TRASH !!!Review fromHeather J

1 starI enrolled in the manufacture warranty when we bought the product on February 24,2024 and it’s good for 1 year. I have been contacting them for the last 3 weeks 4 or 5 times a week sometimes I would talk to a person sometimes it would be automated and they were sending someone out to fix my washing machine and they set me up with Brennan appliance repair and no one has been out still being 3 weeks later they said they couldn’t send another appliance repair company because it goes by your zip code . I again told them no one from that company had been out I have text messages proving I have reached out to the company. The first time I reached out I called and they immediately texted me back and asked me to text them not call. GE won’t do anything to make this right with there warranty they are not a good company to purchase from if something was to go wrong with the productReview fromelijah h

1 starHello,
We bought the GE profile set with the steam option. The steam options allowss to hookup a waterline to the dryer. We filed a complaint on the GE Profile dryer that we purchased in August 2023. We had this appliance for a little over a year and now it's leaking bad. I youtube a video on how to clean the lint trap underneath and the air ducts. I performed this fix a month ago and every week since then. Dryer was working fine for about a month. Fast forward to Friday evening, the water line to the dryer seeped through the upstairs floors into the garage and now we have it repaired. I'm disappointed in what this appliance had caused to our home.
Please as a word of caution to everyone; Do not buy any Appliances were you have to hookup a waterline to it. It's not worth the headache and damages that can possibly occur.
GE sold us a lemon! I had a Samsung dryer that didn't give us a major issue.smh...????
