GE is a terrible company!!!!! I bought a washer and dryer combo May 2024. It stopped drying in August. I had have had 3 service calls and on the 3rd call the tech advised that the heating sensor needed to be repaired. He advised that this takes 2 techs and a 3 hour job. We have been with out a properly working machine for almost 6 weeks. The laundry mat has costed $250+ at this point.
When the tech was at our house he advised that he was NOT going to order the part due to him being pretty sure that there was not going to be someone else in the area to help him repair it.
After the tech left I called CS and they advised that they ordered the part and they are going to overnight it. Well the part is sitting in my living room and GE is advising that they can't locate anyone to come repair at this time that it will take 3-7 more business days. Then I receive an email that I can locate my own "licensed" repair company that they will reimburse up to $250.
NOOOOOOO That is NOT my job! This is a BRAND NEW machine and the CS reps just don't care.
Then CS proceeds to tell me that we need 4 calls with a repair to deem a machine "maybe" replaceable. Even though this is my 3rd call they are only counting this as one.
I will NEVER buy a GE product again... This is horrible business and wasted money!!!

Bodewell gave us the worst experience we've ever had with appliance delivery. Rescheduled 3 times because they showed up and left. Three is a charm- they delivered then said no installation on the order. The bodewell tech who sold us the machine told us free installation. Impossible to speak to customer service, it's just a tangled web of people with no ability to make things right. Everything is a week later. Finally we chose to just pay a reliable plumber to install rather than deal with GE no-service. We regret purchasing from a monster company that doesn't value customers once the credit card goes through. Support local business and stay away from GE and Bodewell.

Ordered refridgerator filters via GE Appliance Parts website. They send they wrong part. No one answers their phones and finally just did an online return. Mailed the wrong parts back, on my dime, and am still waiting for my refund 6 weeks later.
Have been calling weekly and no one in the "return department" answers their phones. Finally got to a customer advocate department who said another 7-10 days.
Will not ever do business with this company /website again, Terrible service.

The company that you use for warranty repairs which is Bodewell Appliance doesn't seem to know how to fix a refrigerator. We have had 3 different Techs come to the house and they all say something different that has to be fixed. We bought the refrigerator in Feb. of 2024 and been without one for over a month. We are living out of an ice chest. Still not fixed. My opinion is never buy a GE Appliance. I think we got a lemon.

I have purchased this GE WASHING MACHINE 07/06/2020 from Costco and since purchase we have had issues. We have had GE repair dispatched for it running louder than we were told when we purchased, leaking from the front door, and smells inside the washing machine. It has never once worked properly or left us satisfied. We called again this time for the same issue of a smell AND NOW it was staining our clothes with dark spots.
Today I spend $114.95 to have a GE repair tech come to our house again to look at the washer because of the awful smell and ruining of clothes. He advised us that this is a known problem with the washers and it is from mold/mildew that accumulated in the drum and never drains properly.  Despite running the self clean function 1x or sometimes 2-3x a month as per manufacturer reccomendations and using the Ultrafresh vent function after each wash, we still had issues related to the manufacturering defect of our unit that lead to MOLD AND MILDEW in our unit. To fix this he gave us a quote for $1380.71.
I am furious because for one thing it has made my 1yr old daughters sick from the MOLD AND MILDEW that we did not know until now was accumulating in our washer, onto their clothes, and INTO THE AIR they breathe. When we took apart the soap dispenser (which is not a part of the routine cleaning instructions) it was FULL OF MOLD AND MILDEW. The Microban technology in this FAILED.
Offering to sell me a new machine for $824.31 is laughable. Your washing machine has put my families health at risk and it is unacceptable. I would accept a return/refund of this machine or a new machine. In fact, i feel that the service charge today should also be refunded since it was a manufacturer defect and nothing was done for me except telling us we needed to spend more money to fix the machine than it is worth?!
I would like a prompt response to my issue.

We purchased a GE Combination Washer/Dryer and at first it worked pretty good but about Mid Auguest we noticed it wasn't drying well at all! I had to hang my laundry all over the house to dry that is after I called Ge to report that it wasn't drying. They sent someone out here several times to fix it but it's only a partime fix from what I have found out from reading about these machines. They have a new generation out and they won't replace it even though it's still under factory warranty. I'm not planning on ever buying another ge product since they don't stand by their products.

3 month old, GE washer. Transmission and door lock broken. I have requested a replacement since the transmission is THE main part of the machine and there is NO WAY that a repair guy can come and replace to the original specs.. No compassion, no logic. worst garbage machine, but most importantly worst after sales EVER.

I purchased a brand new Hotpoint Dryer in 2021 for a little over $500. I had my brand new dryer serviced yesterday 10/01/2024 due to the dryer not drying my clothes anymore. I called the maintenance department and scheduled someone to come out. At first, the tech believed it was a fuse so he replaced the part and continued to operate the machine. Unfortunately, this was not the resolution. The technician then proceeded to tell me the motor is no longer good no the dryer and the warranty was for only 1 year. I am extremely frustrated as these machines are typically known to work for 10+ years. The repairs for the dryer were the same as purchasing a new dryer and then I had to pay $115 just for the service fee.
Totally unhappy and will never purchase a Hotpoint product again.

I bought a high end GE Cafe series built in fridge about 21 months ago. Just after the one year factory warranty expired it stopped working. I called a “consumer advocate” (a farcical term in this situation, as you will see) and she said they would “do me the favor” of scheduling a free repair. The summary of this tale is that over 9 months later the repair people have been here 9 times for the same problem. In between the fridge has worked for periods ranging from on day to one month, resulting in a fridge that has NOT worked cumulatively for at least half of the past 9 months. They have replaced the same part, among others, 6 times. Almost every time the repairman says there’s something else wrong from what the previous person said. One recent repair person said that after the second time a repair didn’t work it should have been immediately escalated to the engineering department for further analysis. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN! Every time I called the “consumer advocate” to complain, increasingly frustrated each time, there was absolutely no advocacy or advice given. She or he simply placated me and scheduled the next useless repair appt. Meanwhile we had to wait for parts, etc. The total incompetence of this process on every level was breathtaking. How does the same repair person show up multiple times within a few weeks or a month AND JUST REPLACE THE SAME PART? How do they have any pride in their work? The only insight I had to this whole process was that I kept being told that it had to be deemed “unrepairable” and then “we’ll see what happens”. The very last repair person was on the phone with engineering going through all the repairs done and he basically had to pretend that certain repairs had been done to accelerate the process of possibly getting a replacement. This is bananas. Who would tolerate this in any other setting? Imagine buying a car and taking it to the dealership for the same problem 9 times in 9 months.
