Do not buys anything GE. Their appliances are GARBAGE. Purchased a refrigerator less than 3 years got all kind of cooling issues. Their tech came, and changed a few parts twice (same parts) still could not get it to work properly. Had to buy a new one (NOT ge). Later on, same thing with our GE dryer,. This s GARBGE brand. Never again. Minus 20 stars would have been my rating.

Purchased a brand new washer dryer combo machine in January 2024. After it was professionally delivered and installed, it wouldn't run a full cycle. GE sent a service person from ******* ********* to see what was wrong with the machine, they deemed a part was broken and that they would replace it. After this was done, the machine still didn't work. A service person from ******* ********* now said there was not enough water pressure to the machine so we hired a plumber to increase the water pipe size and see of there was a problem with the water pressure and there wasn't. The machine still wasn't working. Then a service person from ******* ********* said there was debris in the pipes. This is now service visit number 4 mind you. Again we called a plumber to flush the pipes and there was nothing. Still the machine wasn't working. After yet another service call, they deemed another part needed to be changed but it was on back order. After almost half a year of not having a functioning washing machine, spending over $1500 additional out of pocket on a plumber based on ******* *********** recommendations which was not at all needed as the problem was always with the machine itself, and several phone calls to GEs customer service line, I finally escalated to a manager who after 6 months of me begging agreed to issue a refund for the machine. I paid $2000 for a brand new machine and got a product that didn't work for a single day for almost 6 months. The incompotent people GE hires to service their machines, gave us incorrect information which cost us an additional $1500 out of pocket for nothing. If you want a company that stands by their products, do not purchase a GE appliance. As a consumer, I felt I had no rights in this situation. I was stressed for 6 months, and lost a lot of my hard earned money here. GEs customer service is non-existent. Now when I'm asking them to reimburse me something for the plumber, they refuse to do so. Do not purchase from this company!

Bought 6 new appliances in September of 2022 from GE. Spent about $20,000 on them. 5 of the 6 have now had issues. The stove was delivered with a gas leak and took 3 months for GE to finally give us a new one due to a faulty part that was causing the gas leak, it took 3 months of a non-working brand new stove. Our microwave caught on fire and needed to be replaced again a faulty part that almost started our whole kitchen on fire. Our fridge was delivered with a damaged drawer and they sent us 3 more damaged drawers before finally sending us one that was not damaged but it was missing a part so the technician had to order it and come back causing another service call. The fan on the fridge then stopped working 2 months later and had to be serviced. Our dishwasher has a faulty fuse and stops drying because according to the tech the metal is too close so it will keep happening and had to be fixed once and now is not working again so we need another service call. The washer now has a burning plastic smell and will need to be serviced. we have had over 12 service calls on these appliances in less than 2 years, and 2 of them needed complete replacement due to faulty construction. GE is not helpful in fixing these issues or taking responsibility. I can see one maybe two having an issue 5 out of 6 with 2 needing complete replacement is crazy.

We have a new microwave oven combo and it rattles/vibrates when operating. They tried to fix it and glued it together, that did not work, they had their technician come by and he confirmed and submitted his notes saying it needs a replacement. GE declined replacing and said this is cosmetic whereas it is a safety hazard for us and it overheats and rattles so that is NOT cosmetic.
They lied (technician did) and they did not process a replacement, again this is a safety hazard they are denying!

My mother purchased the Cafè Refrigerator along with the microwave and toaster oven. Only because she wanted an all white matching appliance set. She was waiting to get the oven since the refrigerator cost so much. It's barely been 3 years and the refrigerator is garbage. My brother change out the water filter regularly. Just barely a year ago the ice maker stopped working then the water stopped dispensing. Not the light went out in the freezer section and it stopped working. She did not pay for the extended warranty and didn't think it would stop working or start causing her issues this soon. IT'S BARELY BEEN 3 YEARS. I've had vacuum cleaners and irons last longer than this expensive refrigerator. I wish she would have done her research before purchasing this product. Now they want to charge $114.95 plus labor and parts to come out and repair it. What is this world coming to?
I wish I could leave zero stars and would NEVER recommend this product.

We bought a GE Profile fridge less than three years ago. The compressor failed and stopped cooling the fridge, and we have been through a nightmare with GE Appliances and their outsourced service ever since. After three visits and two months, they finally replaced the compressor, but it immediately started emitting a strong chemical smell throughout the fridge that did not stop (and I'm sure is not safe to breathe). In the meantime we have been without a fridge for two months. They would do nothing for us except send another service person in two weeks (and probably charge us for it). We won't buy GE appliances ever again. I heard about a class action lawsuit against ** *** ******* regarding refrigerator compressors - someone should bring the same lawsuit against GE Appliances.

I have purchased 2 refrigerators in 4 years from GE. The first one had the compressor go out. So I was informed that it would be less expensive to purchase a new refrigerator only to learn after the 2nd purchase that the compressor had a 5 year warranty. The 2nd refrigerator started leaking water down the side of the doors. This started in May the month of purchase, today is September 23,2024 and I am still experiencing the following: water running down the door, food freezing in refrigerator, high pitch sound. I have had 6 service calls, many parts replaced to no avail. Supposedly GE is sending a Tech from the Appliance Hospital for the second time on 9/26 with another part. I have been experiencing this nightmare for 5 months. What can you do to help?

I purchased a brand-new washer 12/24/2022. The washer had been working properly until a few days ago. I scheduled to have a technician come out to my home on Monday 9/16/2024. A service trip charge billed to me of $115. The technician explained to me the issue with my machine was a rusted bolt. (PLATFORM BEARING RETAINER & FA) He explained this is not a common occurrence and there is nothing I as the consumer could have done to cause this issue. The estimated repair charges the technician gave me was $583.30. At this amount I could have bought a brand-new washing machine and be covered under a manufacturer warranty. This washer is less than 2yrs old. This is not wear and tear on a machine, this is a manufacturer defect. The average washing machine should have a life span of eight and twelve years. These appliances regularly use water and experience frequent exposure to humidity, so rust may be a part of a normal wear and tear AFTER A DECADE or so. Are your products only good for two years or less? I didn't purpose a GE appliance with anticipation it would no longer work after less than two years.
I was told due to the washing machine being out of manufacturer warranty there was nothing that could be done.
As explained before, the issue is due to rust. I've had this washing machine less than two years and it is not working due to rust. How can a machine rust in less than two years? I believe I received a bad part and a washing machine. I've researched this issue, and rust should not occur on a machine for a minimum of eight years. Does this mean GE is only making appliances that will last less than 2 years? I would like to receive a call to help me understand as the consumer rusting this early in the process is what to expect from your products and brand.
