We have had the same problem as other reviewers stating that the top load washing machines will not wring clothes out. We have not had the machine two years yet. Thank GOD my son had a whirlpool washer. Even though it is at least 10 years old or more it works like a champ. I AGREE WITH EVERY ONE ELSE STAY AWAY FROM GE APPLIANCES UNLESS YOU WANT ALOT OF HEADACHES AND TO WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I bought a GE air conditioner with my social security check (I am 70 years old) and was only able to use for 2 months in 2023 and 1 1/2 months in 2024 and it broke down right after the warranty ran out by about 25 days. It was very hot and humid this summer and was very hard not having an AC. I reached out to GE to see if anyone works on them or if they could help in any way since I spent $579 for this AC and they told me no one works on them and I would have to buy another one. When your social security is only $827 a month it is pretty hard to go out and buy another one every year. GE appliances are very unreliable and will not buy anything from them again. Their customer service was of very little help. They gave me a certificate of $100 which expires in October and I can't afford to buy anything now. I think that people should know about this especially senior citizens that live on a fixed income. Is There anyone out there that can help me?

GE Appliances-- please, please go back to manufacturing appliances without all the bells and whistles. Your Appliances these days are absolute garbage.
I am on my 3rd GE Washer, model # GFR850SPN4RS. 5.0 CUFT smart front load, steam wash, smart dispense, ultra vent system. I bought the first one in March 2020. It was replaced within 2 weeks by the store from which we purchased it because it vibrated so violently it almost came off the platform.
The second washer last about 7 months prior to the service calls. Unfortunately, service calls continued after the warrant expired. The technician quoted a minimum of $700.00 for parts and labor. After many calls to GE CS, they offered to sell me another washer, (same model) for $650.00.
Now this 3rd washer lasted 15 months before the nightmare started again. On July 22, the pump started while the door was open. None of the controls responded. Tech came on July 23 and said he needed a new control panel. After several weeks of waiting for his return, he installed the panel. But now he said we need a new valve pump.
the 3rd party service company, Factory Warranty has scheduled 2 appointments, yet could not make those, because they did not have the parts. It is now Aug. 29, and I still don't have a washer. My husband has Parkinson's with Dementia, so going to the laundromat is very difficult, but no one at GE seems to care.
GE Customer Service is basically non existent. I have asked for a new washer, but the answer is no. I asked if they would give me an extended warranty if they ever get this one fixed, and the answer is no. The standard answer appears to be NO. How very sad.
I have tried to escalate this issue, but to no avail. I truly miss the days when GE was focused on Quality.

Customer care? Absolutely not! We called for repairs on our high end GE washer, it is only 2 years old and the main electrical board needs to be replaced. We set up the new service date and then received a call to say it was cancelled because the board is on back order. We have now received 3 called from GE’s automated service that our part is available and we need to call immediately or our part order will be cancelled. When I called GE they tell me the part is not in and is in BO until October 29th. When I asked how come I keep getting a call to say the part is in, the response was that is just our automated system and we can’t change that. So then I was told I should call in every week or so just to make sure the part is not in and that my order doesn’t get cancelled. When I asked them what were they going to do to get the part in earlier, they said that there is no option to get the part in earlier. I have been in Supply Chain for 30 years, it’s called expediting. How and I expected to go 3 months without a washer? Customer service indicated I could try to find an after market part and get it fixed on my own but that will negate the rest of the warranty. I can also call their consumer care line and let them know my frustration but they probably won’t do anything about it either. I would never buy a GE product on my own, Sadly this is what the builder offered. GE has no customer care, they only care about their bottom line! For the next 8-9 weeks I have to spend 30-60 min of my time calling GE to make sure my order stays on the books and also have to spend $$ for the laundromat until my part comes in because they refuse to expedite the parts. GE doesn’t understand the meaning of Customer Care! Don’t buy GE!

Will never buy GE again. Dosent even deserve one star. Four months and my refrigerator and freezer died. It took a week to get a service call scheduled, then showed up with a call to an inactive phone I told them not to call. Spoke with countless reps and supervisors for the next 2 days before one asked if I’d like a third party repair company. Again no show on the scheduled day. When he finally came out to diagnose that the compressor needed replacement. which we knew from day one. It’s been two more weeks and I’m still waiting for the part. Then I can schedule the repair appointment. Horrible service. No follow up and absolutely no care for the inconvenience. Staff is rude and not knowledgeable. Case manager took. Week to respond to my email Going on almost a month with no refrigerator after only 4 months.
      DONT EVER BUY GE!!!

GE Profile refrigerator - Don't buy one. Mine had to have the door replaced on day one and the compressor died after 2 years.
Compressor has a 5 year warranty but they have a way they can "declare it void".
GE Appliance's service company is called Bodewell and they are incentivized to not help. They declared my compressor warranty void because there were mouse droppings under the refrigerator.
I assumed that would be cleared up when I called in but no. They stuck by it.
They claimed that maybe it meant that a mouse chewed through a sealed system to kill the compressor. I am not kidding. This is a real service organization.
The "best solution" they could offer was a "big discount" on an identical replacement. This discount was more expensive than the current website price of the retailer I bought it from.
All in all I felt like they screwed me over for money and provided zero service.

I would give 0 stars if possible. My washing machine stopped working. I waited on hold for 30 minutes to schedule a service. Because the washer was past its warranty, they said that service vendors declined to fix it. When I called vendors in my area, they stated that GE charged them a monthly fee to fix their washing machines. I can’t believe a company can sell apple and not have available service reps to fix their own products. I understand I would have to pay for the repair and I wasn’t trying to get anything free. I’ve literally never encountered such poor service. I will never buy GE again because they clearly do not care about you once they take your initial money.

The present Refrigerators offered for purchase from G.E. Appliances by P*** ******** ** *******, CT. are not worth "two cents." They don't inform you that your house must be air-conditioned, and that the upper shelves must be packed to prevent freezing of the vegetables in the crisper bends.
I truly regret purchasing this product and it has been serviced today 4 X's and we now wait to see if this last time will remedy the problem of this practical new appliance.

GE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BEYOND TERRIBLE, NEVER NEVE BUY GE. !! We purchased a brand new fridge GE Profile Model PFE28kynffs. Serial # is HS533080. In 3 years we have had the fridge or freezer stop working and had it serviced the first 2 times relatively easily. This 3rd time, however it is now going on 2 months and we still don't have any progress. 2 technicians from Bray and Scarff where we purchased the fridge came out and couldn't fix. They were told GE has to actually fix the fridge. So a 4th person came out, ordered new parts and had to schedule a 5th person to come out. That 5th person came and "fixed it" but actually the fridge never worked. Then the 6th person, scheduled canceled on me bc couldn't answer hte phone. GE has given us the run around and our agent who was our "point of contact" has not done anything of value to get this situation resolved. We have been given misinformation about the process to determine if the fridge is "deemed unrepairable." The constant misinformation, failure to show up, inability to contact customer service within less than a 30-45min wait on call is despicable.
