In 2022 we purchased over $10,000 worth of GE Profile appliances for our condo. In December of 2024 we noticed that our "new" refrigerator wasn't cooling/freezing properly. We called our appliance store and they told us our refrigerator was NOT a Profile and it was not under warranty any longer. Profiles have a 5 year warranty others have only 2 year warranty. However, our refrigerator has a handle that says, "Profile" on it. Wouldn't you think you therefore have a PROFILE??? I have contacted GE and they are holding their ground about this. I don't think this false advertising should go unnoticed!!!

I purchased a GE Profile Series top-load washer (Model # PTW600BSRWS) and had it installed on April 10, 2023. Since then, it has experienced the same mechanical issue three times, with a fourth service appointment already scheduled for April 10, 2025.
      Previous service visits:
      April 22, 2023
      July 4, 2024
      September 16, 2024
Each repair attempt addressed the same issue, yet the problem continues to return. All service visits were done under an extended warranty, but it’s clear the machine has a recurring defect that hasn't been properly resolved.
I expected better durability and support from GE. It’s frustrating to keep dealing with the same breakdown over and over with no offer of a replacement or long-term fix. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this model and am very disappointed with the overall quality and reliability.

My parents bought a GE front load washer model gfw550ssn5ww on 8/3/2025 and on March 17 2025 the washer broke down and as an appliance repair technician I ran all the diagnostic testing and the washer came back as the drain pump failed so as an appliance technician I went ahead and changed the pump with a brand new pump right from GE and the washer still wouldn’t drain out. So I called GE told them everything that I did to try and fix the washer. I was told that within 48 hours I would get a phone call from their technician but after 48 hours no one called so I called was told within 72 hours someone will call me and no one did. So I called again and was told that the warranty was violated because I worked on it myself after I was told they would make the decision when the technician was there or not if it was voided out or not and we said okay if it is we’ll pay the technician. I recorded every phone call with them and my attorney said I have a lawsuit for fraud against them since this washer cost us about $1,000 and now it’s junk. We have replaced it all. DO NOT BUY ANY GE PRODUCTS THEY WILL SCREW YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY as they didn’t to my parents who are retired and on a fixed income

We bought a GE Profile washer/dryer set in December 2023. The dryer started making a loud squeaking noise every time we used it, so we contacted GE Warranty. They searched for a local service technician and said they couldn't find any at first, but did send out someone from a local appliance dealer eventually. Then the nightmare began. After 3 visits, replacing every moveable part, he said he didn't know what else to do. I contacted GE again, and they kept saying we needed a technician to come out. They then said he had to be here and call their number from my home and say over the phone it was not repairable. He did. It's now February 2025. They want me to video the machine making the noise. I did, and sent it in. Their engineers said a complete leverage arm needs replacing (the appliance dealer said they already did that, but they'd do it again. They also said their technician was only paid for his first call.). GE said call when the part came. It's now April 2025. I called when the part arrived. They then said they can't locate a local technician. I said we'd already been using one--5 times. They then said we need to go through the process of documenting it's not repairable, again. They are obviously stalling and are not honoring their warranty. This is a nightmare. Never again will I deal with GE Appliances.

Honestly- GE appliances have become some of the worst within the industry. Not sure if we have a bad set - but our builder package (washer, dryer, Dishwasher, Oven/Range, fridge) lasted 1-3 years (between all 5 units). We've had to replace our dishwasher, washing machine and oven/cooktop. Our refer unit is barely hanging on. What a shame. Embarrassing!

Purchased the sapphire blue washer and dryer set. Just after a year and 3 months, the washer stopped draining and pumping water to the detergent filler. Had to have a technician come out, first look at the machine he said he is certain he knows the issue because he's had to fix many of these same machines. The mother board needed replaced! THE BRAINS OF THE WASHER! GE refused to pay for repairs! So ignore that giant 10 YEAR WARRANTY on the machine. Please do not buy anything GE!

Dryer broke down in less than 6 months and it has been over 3 months and I am still waiting for warranty repair. There is no compensation for my family having to live with having a non functional appliance.

Dryer is very noisy. The drum is large but the clothes just ball up in the dryer and whatever is in the middle does not get dry. The dry times are excessive. Cotton dry time is 1hr 15 min and then you have to run it for a 2nd cycle so it takes over 2 hrs. for a load of clothes. For bedding, you have to pull the load out and reload it so the middle can dry. It takes 2 to 3 cycles to dry bedding. The only thing this dryer is saving is lent in the screen. It takes an enormous amount of time drying and then redrying over and over to get loads dry. What a waste of money. I will never buy another GE appliance. This appliance is supposed to be "eco friendly" but with 3 to 4 hour dry times, there is no way this dryer is any better for the earth than an old dryer that takes 30 to 45 minutes to dry a load.
