Ridiculous experience with fraud. They were supposed to close my online account yesterday. They are CLOSED for customer service on Sundays - even for dealing with fraud. You can't talk to a soul. I wake up today to find my whole debit account cleaned out the same way we "stopped" during our hour long phone call yesterday. What I am going to do now for the holidays? I can't wait to see how long this takes to resolve. As soon as I get my money back I'm leaving. Between my husband and I we have had 5 issues in the last 7 months where we needed to lock/shut/resend a card. This place and the fraud they allow is AWFUL.

This is a fraud. They called me saying that there is an auto loan in my name. I do not have an auto loan. Initially they said they have my name in the system. Then they asked me to spell my name again, and said they do not have it an the call is a mistake.

They're aweful. I've had my card compromised 5 times in the past year.. I had to wait a week and a half for a new card every time. Going to join citizens Bank where you can get a new card in an hour. This is BS

I have NEVER in my life dealt with a bank that have more control over your bank than you. I have asked this bank to not make any payments for me and they told me it is at their discretion to make any payments they feel like. It was also told to me that they do not have an option to set up overdraft protection the prior times I contacted them. Today December 2, 2023 they made another payment and charged me a $15 insufficient fund fee. I contacted them again and was told that they can make payments on my behalf without my consent and that anything $100 or more will be charged a $15 fee. I asked the rep how I can opt out of this because I should not be responsible for a $15 fee when they made the decision to make a payment without my consent. The male rep told me that it is $30 charge to do something but at that moment I hung up. This bank is stealing from people. How can you have control over someones account, make a payment without their consent after they have told you many times to STOP and then you charge them for what you have done? NO worries, my account will be closed, Not to mention there are no banks in certain areas just an atm. I had to drive 45 minutes to an actual bank, BEWARE of this scam this bank is pulling and stealing from people just to make a quick $15.

Ive been with them for many many years and the people working at the local branch are wonderful but now the bank changed the policy and I have to show an id every time I make a deposit!!!! Besides the debit card??? Im not taking money out.. just depositing!!! I understand its for safety issues but seriously? I make often deposits in my bank account and now I have to go through an extra step that I done believe is necessary!!!

I started the day with $2700 in my checking account. $1150 came out for bill pay. Now my account is negative $13420 because I deposited a $15000 check yesterday. They put a hold on the check and left me penniless. I did not cash the check I deposited it. Absolutely the worst banking experience ever.

This company is horrible, they took a second payment out of my bank account and caused my account to be overdrawn. When I called they lied about what was going to happen and when I called back they said they couldn't put back in my account so I accrued charges from my bank I would not recommend this company to anyone. The people you speak to don't understand English which is a problem, and this is not a racist statement it is the truth. Do not do business with this Bank. They will not give you numbers to Corp Office, said they can't even talk to them, hello do they think people are dumb.

I applied for a credit card and they sent me a letter that they were unable to process my application because they were unable to process my application. I tried calling them for more information. The first time I could not get through, the second time they told me they could not tell me anything and hung up on me. I wasted a hard inquiry without even getting a reason as to why I was declined on a pre-selected credit card offer. I suppose it is for the best as they have such poor customer service. As another person has said in this review, the bank will not provide the reason for a declining an application. They also will not provide the information required by law when they decline a credit card application such as the credit bureau used. I had to get that through my credit monitoring service. I recommend avoiding this bank at all possible. The other one star reviews are typical of my experience.

This company harrases me every day with calls for my son's *******, they lie to me, tell me it's s welcome call, refuse to let me speak with a supervisor, refuse to let me talk to corporate, refuses to give me a corporate number, keeps me on hold 2 hours every time I call to just tell me no managers are available to speak too and then never call back. After several calls from thier collections department asking me to verify my secure information over a phone call when every other bank and credit company says that they will never call you and ask for the information, this bank disregards safety and concerns. They allow way over priced cars in Thier loan department and do nothing to help thier banking Customers. They are only for profit even if that means letting shady car dealers rob you. Unlike other bigger more wellknown banks that would not allow someone to over pay for a product this badky, But the fact of the matter is their customer service should not lie to people. I should be able to get a supervisor on the phone and they should be able to hand out a corporate phone number. So before you use this bank, remember? They are very, very shady and they treat you very disrespectfully. I spoke with a man named ****** in their collections. Department who tried to defend his sales reps. ****** than just tell me you're right. We shouldn't be calling you lying to you. I also spoke with ****** in the executive corporate office. Who couldn't give me a corporate phone number or a supervisor or a boss? And promise me a call back in 24 to 48 hours. This is a third time I've been waiting for a call back from a manager regarding a formal complaint. Banks like this should be shut down.. but profit right

I have held Santander deposits of six-figures plus continuously for more than a decade and at some times have been labeled a Premier customer. A year ago, i had a fraud attack, and they had to close and reopen my accounts. I spent endless hours trying to get on-line access to my account, among other things trying to see what charges had appeared on my credit card and to shift the autopay to new accounts. I also wanted to see what rate was being paid on my money market account. But if you do this, be ready for insulting customer service and endless waits on hold. I asked a few times in the branch what rate was being paid on the money market account, assuming that applied to my account. It turns out it didn't and all along they were paying ****%. A money market rate is supposed to reflect money market rates such as Treasury bills or Federal Funds and is meant to vary with the market. Customers choose it so they do not have to constantly rate shop. That's how it works at nonbank money funds like Vanguard or Fidelity and many banks. After pointing this out I did get a much more money-market like rate, but it will not fluctuate except down and i will have to ask again in a few months. Do not trust Santander to have your interests at heart.
