is a rip off starting from the fact that they do not provide any pricing per kw ANYWHERE! They are worse than the Auto and ************** companies. They give the bad vibes to N American capitalism: greed and lack of honesty!BBB gives an A (???) where they should protect the consumers. You make me not trusting your ratings!Nexamp

We always strive to operate with the best interests of our customers in mind, maintaining transparency and integrity. Our teams also work hard to ensure that all customers have the information they need to fully understand and maximize the benefits of our program. For further assistance, we are available via phone or email, and our *********** offers detailed information about your account: *********************************************************;
Regarding the solar credits, these are applied directly to your utility bill and are valued at your utilitys standard rate. While Nexamp does not control these rates, they should be clearly reflected on your utility bills. You should always be able to match the solar credit amount listed on your Nexamp invoice with a corresponding utility bill by reviewing the production amount and date range. Our support team is available to assist you further if you need any help ensuring the savings are accurately reflected. We are available Monday Friday, 8:30 am 6:00 pm EST, at ******************************** or ************.Review fromMatt Q

I subscribed to Nexamp to support solar energy, but I was mistaken BIG TIME! This company operates under the pretense of promoting solar and environmental concerns, yet its business model seems designed to exploit consumers with confusing billing practices. When I saw how high my bill was, I promptly canceled, expecting the cancellation to be processed within 30 or 60 days. Four months later, Im still receiving bills from them. They claim I agreed to their billing and cancellation policy when I signed up, but it's hidden in fine print that no reasonable consumer would notice. I feel scammed and regretful for not recognizing the trouble I was getting into with Nexamp. They are taking advantage of consumers in *****!Nexamp

Hello ****,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. Were sorry to hear that your experience didnt meet your expectations, and we appreciate your honesty. We're here to support you.
Our team works hard to keep customers informed about how our program works. We offer educational materials through email and physical mail, along with an online help center to provide further insight into our program: *********************************************************;
In general, solar credits fluctuate based on the energy your portion of the farm generatestypically more in the spring and summer, and less in winter. Because of this seasonal variation, we recommend viewing savings on an annual basis to get the most accurate picture. You will always receive a 15% discount on the solar credits applied, and any excess credits will be banked for use in future months.
In terms of cancelation, our 90-day policy is in place to allow us to coordinate with Versant. Its important to note that Nexamp invoices typically arrive 1-2 billing cycles after solar credits are applied to your utility bill. This explains why you would see additional invoices even after initiating the cancelation process. You can review the solar generation periods listed on your Nexamp invoices to match them with the credits on your utility bills.
Additionally, we understand that higher summer generation might have been unexpected, and were happy to work with you on a custom payment plan if needed. While we have thousands of satisfied customers, we regret that your experience was different, and we are committed to helping you get the most from the program. We hope the information provided has been helpful and are here if you have any further questions or need additional assistance.

Nexamp is the biggest ripoff going! I cancelled my contract in January, 2024, and continued being billed. Later I found out that that you are responsible for bills for 90 days after cancellation. I received a bill in September and called to find out why. I was told that they have no record that I cancelled in January, so they cancelled me in June and I am now responsible for 90 days of payments. From people that I know whom at one time had Nexamp, i was given the same story about difficulty cancelling. I don't know why the ***************************** doesn't investigate the company's practices.Nexamp

Hello *****,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Were sorry to hear about the troubles youve experienced and want to assure you that we are committed to resolving your concerns.
The cancelation policy outlined in your agreement accounts for the time needed to work with your utility to officially remove you from our solar farm. During this period, you would still be generating and receiving solar credits, which reduce your utility costs. Since Nexamp invoices are sent after the solar credits are applied to your utility account, this explains why you would have received invoices following your initial cancelation request. Please rest assured that we will ensure your cancelation timeline is honored as outlined.
We understand that your situation is unique, and wed like to discuss it further. A member of our team will reach out directly to ensure your needs are fully met. Thank you for your understanding and cooperationwe value your feedback and are committed to addressing your concerns.

We have solar panels on our roof that we had installed before becoming Nexamp customers. We were *** customers before moving to **********************. What we did not know is that Nexamp cannot give us credits for our own solar generation. The upshot here is that the credits for our own solar generation are being supplied to ************* Power, while our bill is coming from Nexamp. Nexamp and CMP have no way of communicating and applying our own solar generation credits to our Nexamp bill. We are going to go back to ***, so that we can continue to get the financial benefits of having our own solar generated power. To summarize: If you have solar panels on your roof, think very carefully before becoming a Nexamp customer. The power that you are generating will not be applied to your bill in this case.If Nexamp and CMP could figure out a way together to pay us for our own generation, we would stay with Nexamp.Nexamp

Hello Clay,
Thank you for sharing your honest feedback about Nexamp. We apologize that the program didnt meet your expectations, and well use your input to help improve the experience for future customers.
**********************'s community solar program is generally a great alternative for those who either dont want to or cant install personal solar panels. In these cases, we apply solar credits to their utility bills, helping them save throughout the year. That said, we understand your situation is unique, as you already have your own solar panels. While the regulations in ***** allow for this setup, we would aim to offset the remaining utility costs that your personal panels dont cover by adjusting your share size on our solar farm. We acknowledge the complexities involved and understand if you felt that this combination wasnt the best fit for your needs.We appreciate your time and feedback, and we're here to support you if you need anything else as we move forward.

Hello *****,
Thank you for sharing your constructive feedback. We are deeply sorry for the inconveniences youve experienced and recognize that our internal process may not have met the standard we aim for. Please know that we are committed to addressing any gaps in our operations to better meet your needs.
While our goal is to make the enrollment process simple and seamless, certain factors like having personal solar panels or being enrolled in budget billing can impact the experience depending on the utility territory. We strive to prevent these issues, but we understand that there may be room for improvement.
We recognize that your situation is unique, and we will reach out directly to ensure all of your questions are thoroughly addressed. Thank you again for your time and cooperation as we work toward a resolution.

At first I thought this was a good idea but there billing is a scam. I understand they bill on a delay compared to the time cycle that national grid bills on but today I got my invoice informing me that due to delays with national grid they nexamp is billing me two bills in one billing cycle. Completely unacceptable. Therefore I have requested to have my account with them closed and judging from the comments below its not going to be easy to cancel so not looking forward to that. Such a shame this turned out to be a scam.Nexamp

Hi Rachael,
Thank you for your feedback regarding the multi-cycle bill and your request to cancel. We understand that receiving multiple billing cycles at once can be unexpected, and we apologize for any confusion.
As mentioned in our prior communication, the multi-cycle bill occurred because there was a delay in receiving necessary information from the utility, which is required for us to bill accurately. Since we bill in arrears and it had been two months since your last invoice, this was the best way to keep your account as current as possible.
Please know that we never charge late fees or interest on our invoices, and we are happy to discuss a payment plan that works for you to make this more manageable.
Regarding your cancelation request, we want to assure you that we aim to make this process as smooth as possible. While cancelation can take up to 90 days due to utility timelines, we are committed to assisting you throughout the process. We regret that your experience has not met your expectations, but please know we are here to support you.
Thank you for being part of the Nexamp community, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have further questions or if we can assist with anything else.

Nexamp solicited and signed up an elderly woman in 2022 for not one but two properties. Said they contacted her via email but lo and behold she has no email. So they never contacted her and started billing in April of 2024 and continue to bill even though the "service" and I use that term lightly has been cancelled. **************** is a joke -they have no idea what they provide for a service and spew corporate lines and lies.I will be contacting the AG's office in ***** and ********* STARSNexamp

This company is a complete scam. First off my son had signed me up but when they called to confirm I told them I changed my mind and did not want to sign up. 2 years later I received a bill and have been receiving one every month since then. I tried canceling in March but it is now July and they keep telling me I have a few more months of payment. It seems like its impossible to cancel. The phone representatives are not helpful and rude.Nexamp

Hi ********,
Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you've experienced with our service. We take your concerns seriously and are committed to resolving them.
To clarify, Nexamp bills in arrears, meaning there is a delay between when you see credits on your utility account and when we bill you. This ensures your utility costs have been reduced before you are invoiced by Nexamp at your 15% discount. This explains why you may still receive invoices even after canceling. We apologize for any confusion this has caused. We are still on track to honor the cancelation timeline provided by our representatives and as listed in your contract with Nexamp.
Our goal is to provide exceptional customer service, and we are committed to reviewing your comments in detail. To address this promptly, we will also reach out to you privately to discuss your account further. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.Review fromJohn C

Hello ****,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with our billing process and the seasonal fluctuations in credits. Providing a seamless customer experience is our top priority, and we apologize for not meeting your expectations.
Our billing system operates in arrears, meaning you receive an invoice after solar credits have been applied to your account. We understand this can be confusing, especially with the seasonal nature of solar energy production. During the summer, you may receive higher credits due to increased solar production, whereas in winter, the credits are typically lower. However, these fluctuations are designed to balance out over the year, providing consistent savings. All credits remain on your account until used, ensuring you benefit fully from our program. Given these seasonal fluctuations, we recommend viewing your savings annually rather than monthly for a clearer understanding of the overall financial benefits.We deeply regret any inconvenience and confusion this has caused. Your experience is important to us, and we are committed to making improvements based on your feedback.
