My husband went into the liquor store after grocery shopping with our three children including my son that has a Downs syndrome. While shopping my daughter who is a 9 year old BLACK CHILD touched one of the bottles (did not lift, pick up or take off the shelf) to read it and the attendant who was an older white lady yelled in a very angry voice from across behind the cash register "hey you cant touch the bottles". My daughter described her experience as "frightening" "scary", "threatened" and "like she would put her hands on me" as the attendant marched up to them in a very threatening and intimidating manor. I can't help but wonder, what if we were a different family, meaning not BLACK? it is *********************************************************** this manner. To be clear, my children were not running around the store, they were not loud, they were not disruptive, she just touched a bottle and for the attendant to react in such aggressive threatening manner is shocking and quite honestly disappointing. To recount and experience this through the lens of my 9 year was quite benevolent, as she described her experience so intelligibly but yet I felt I was not there to defend my child for this MONSTER! Such aggressive character in BJs is a let down as people there are always kind. I think this employee needs some sensitivity training; she should be educated how to interact with people who do not look like her. Its was even worse as we sat at the dinner table and ate the steak that we bought from Bjs and hear my daughter compared her experience to an educational trip that we took her and her siblings on in 2022 to ********** ******* and she got to tour **************************! Well, I guess my child is still alive and that is sometimes all we can hope for as BLACK parents. Needless to say, I am cancelling my membership and credit card. I truly hope Bjs really consider how to properly train their staff how to interact with their customers! Truly appalling!

At the start of Covid-19 in 2020, I joined BJ's Wholesale Club. When ****** moved into my area in 2021, I cancelled my membership with BJ's in March 2021. THIS INFORMATION WAS VERIFIED BY BJ's CUSTOMER SERVICE. Yet, despite cancelling my membership, BJ's continued in 2022 and 2023 to bill my debit card for $55 for the membership fee. **************** agreed with my assessment and recommended that I contact my bank and dispute the charges. Once a membership has been cancelled, all membership charges should cease!

I started a membership in March of 2023. So my membership does NOT come up for renewal until March of ****. IN August of 2023 my card was charged $118.80. I called and they had told me it wasn't even for my current membership. I haven't been to a store since May of this year (2023). The only thing they could tell me was they had to look into their credit department and will get back to me with a email. I am so saddened by this. They are just taking peoples money!! I will Never ever shop[ there again.

After careful consideration, my family and I decided not to renew our membership. In March, I emailed BJs customer care, and no one replied. Then I contacted them via ******* multiple times, and was lied to three times! The agents would give me the runaround and assure me that my mailing address would be removed from their mailing list. I should not receive any more promotional mail and that it would take 4-6 weeks. We are now in August and another renewal offer is arriving today. They are violating their privacy policy by not respecting my requests. Our local BJs has gone downhill in quality and service. BJs lost our business months ago.

I placed a same-day delivery order that was supposed to be delivered between 12 noon EST and 2 PM EST. The order was never delivered but marked as delivered by the vendor, Doordash. I pay a year subscription through BJs Wholesale Club for same-day delivery. I called and spoke to ***** at 121 PM EST today at the member services desk, who reassured me that ******** would redeliver my items once I called them. Please keep in mind that BJs, who has this contract with ********, should be the one to resolve the issue if they made a contract with them. It should not be the customer since we did not hire the service or broker the deal. I still called Doordash and spoke with ******* at 123 PM EST today. He reassured me that BJs would have my order redone, send it to Doordash immediately, and deliver it by 223 PM EST today. Bjs's automated system sent me a link shortly afterward, showing me it was in the works. Then at 220 PM EST, BJs canceled it, stating the order was already delivered earlier today, which was a complete lie. I called BJs, stood on hold for an hour and a half, and got nowhere. I am now stuck at home with my five children, $401.28 short, and no food until a refund is issued. My children are hungry, and this was all the money I had left. I cannot believe that BJs still has not picked up the phone to try to remedy this issue.

Im a former associate at bjs club in ********* ******* I started with the company in December ******************************************************* this time period before the club opened in ********* are currently waiting on there travel reimbursement what was thought to be a 3 month wait is now 7 month and they have no pressure or worry of getting this resolved they owe me near 300$ and owe former and current employees even more and everybody is wondering when they will receive their money they also do not want to connect you directly with HR to speak of the situation if you call and ask about speaking with HR it wont happen almost like they dont want to help you very likely they are trying to keep this on the low I made a great decision choosing to leave this company because obvisouly they dont care about their hard working employees Im not just speaking for myself Im speaking for those people with family dealing with the higher cost of living these days and corporations like BJS wholesale want to take advantage ! They owe thousands of dollars of travel reimbursement and they need to be more vocal of this instead of trying to keep everyone in the dark !

I joined bjs over a year ago, was a ****** customer but ******************** opened near where I live. I went in to purchase the Berkly Jensin 12 x 12 gazebo item# ******. It was set up at the commack store with a sign for $949.00. I went to the customer service desk to be told they sold it and could only order it online for $1799.00. I asked what other stores had it in stock. They told me ********* had 2. I placed the order to pick it up. The price was $1249.00. They would not honor Commacks price even thought commack totally failed me. I placed the order for pickup, paid for it and called the store in ********* and spoke to a manager. I was told they only had a floor model. I sent 2 construction workers with tools to dismantle and pick it up. They drive 50 miles in a box truck spent $50 in fuel, I paid the $200 to make the trip. When they got to the store they were told they did not have the item I ordered and paid for. I called corporate customer service and was told the only thing I could do is order it for delivery for $1799.00 plus tax, $850.00 more than commack bd posted. The experience was the worst Ive ever had with a retailer and Im out $250 in gas and labor paid to the construction crew.

My family and I have a membership with BJs. We recently noticed that the online prices for groceries are higher when you select same day delivery vs pickup. For e.g., as of July 9, Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese 24 Oz is $8.29 for pickup. When same-day delivery is selected the price is $9.99. Consumers are already being charged a delivery fee of $14.99 for same-day delivery. Why are the prices for the same product higher?!? Shame on you for this practice. It is also not clear when selecting same-day delivery that the prices will be higher than pickup.

******* club on ************* cancelled my next day 3p-4p pick up web orders to focus solely on same day delivery. My order was placed at 7:15p and apparently they set their computer systems to refuse orders. Manager I spoke to was deceptive and cancellstion emails were deceptive. They said my identity could not be confirmed and cancellation was for security reasons. I called Mastercard and my account was in good standing and showed both transactions were pending. All I wanted to do was schedule a pick up order for after work the next day. I placed two orders and after acceptance, approx 5 minutes later, each order was cancelled. I've routinely done this and I find this business practice to be in bad form. Amazon can handle logistics but apparently bjs can't. I don't believe I will remain a customer. It's a shame they tossed me overboard so to speak. I was a faithful customer since 2018.
