      My credit reports have an assumed collection account ******** from this company with different opening dates, balances, first date of delinquency, balance due, and/or last date of activities. Therefore, making this alleged account full of inaccuracies. 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 (A)(1) A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. I have never had an account, any record of first notice of debt including rights to dispute, nor been informed by a representative that I had a right or timeframe to dispute this debt from this company to respond asking for verification of debt, forcing them to cease collection attempts until proof of verification is complete. This company also broke ***** False or Misleading Representations laws. A debt collector may not falsely represent the character, amount, or legal status of the debt, or of any services rendered, or compensation he or she may receive for collecting the debt. A debt collector may not communicate, or threaten to communicate, false credit information or information that should be known to be false, including not identifying disputed debts as such. Each of my 3 credit reports show different, inaccurate information. This is considered false and misleading. The **** aggressively litigates companies who violate these types of consumer laws. According to *******************, the **** took action against the nations two largest debt buyers and collectors for using deceptive tactics to collect bad debts. They found that ******************** and ***************************** bought debts that were potentially inaccurate, lacking documentation, or unenforceable. These practices violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the ****-***** **** Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Please investigate this company and have them remove this account immediately from my credit reports.

      The information that is being reported to the credit bureau is accurate. When the consumers account was placed for collections, a letter was mailed to the consumer which informed the consumer of the debt and gave all the required statutory notices. On or about 5/17/2024 in response to a credit bureau dispute documentation was mailed to the consumer in relation to the account. A request was sent to the credit bureau to have the account updated as disputed.  On 11/19/24 the consumer called to see if a payment arrangement could be set up and at that time the consumer set up a payment arrangement. The consumer called back later that same day and agreed to pay a reduced balance instead of making payments. The reduced balance was to be paid on or before 12/19/2024. AFS looks forward to working with the consumer so that this matter can be resolved. AFS can be reached at ************, please reference account # ********.
