This review is for TD bank fraud department. I tried to solve this with TD bank directly with no success. Thus, I wrote this review.TD Bank fraud departments decision to suspend my checking account #xxx6459. The bank suspended the account erroneously based on suspected fraud. While I appreciate reasonable efforts to keep customer deposits safe, in this case the bank made an error and has been unresponsive for two weeks, despite my repeated efforts to address this. The situation is unacceptable and has resulted in economic damages, because I do not have access to my money in the account. For context, I recently rented out my apartment and opened this TD basic checking account for all income and expenses related to this rental unit. I deposited two certified checks provided by my tenant. One check was for the security deposit (check #xxx8223 for the amount of $3,500), and the second check was for first months rent (check #xxx8224 for the amount of $3,500). I deposited them on 8/15/23 and 8/16/23, respectively.Shortly thereafter, I discovered I could not access my account (online, via the mobile banking app, or via ATM). After several calls to customer service, I visited the bank branch located at ************************************* and contacted my primary branch located at ***********************************************. The branch manager at **********************************************************************, has not been able to resolve this with the fraud department, despite her relentless efforts on my behalf. At this point, the bank has essentially stolen $7,000 from me. The bank has taken no action to remedy the situation despite the fact that I have verified my identity as the proper account holder. The two checks I deposited were also cashiers checks, certified by the tenants bank. I find the banks behavior truly unprofessional and unacceptable.I need TD bank to release and unfreeze my account immediately. And, please create a live fraud department where customers can call and ask for help.

Worst bank out there that doesnt care about its customers at all. My family and I are attempting to move, I had amazing credit (over 780) but when I went to apply for a mortgage I found I have a 650 now, why? Because TD failed to setup recurring payments with a bug in their system, I was never notified the automatic payments were not working and so never knew a very small bill wasnt getting paid due to their bug. I have filed a dispute and they refuse to look into the situation and say its not a banking error, no ****, I told them it was a bug and I had autopay on, they refuse to listen and dont care that it was their fault or that they are ruining my familys life right now. I have nothing good to say about TD, take your money elsewhere to a bank that actually cares for its customers.

I wouldnt recommend this company to my worst enemy. If you ever have fraudulent charges, they will leave your compromised card number active and continue to ****** you to pay them even while theres an active investigation into it. Then when you get that straightened out, all of a sudden you are still getting charges on that inactive card that they expect you to pay, but now you cant log in even after changing your password to a very secure one. Hands down the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER DEALT WITH.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have an account that I set up auto pay on and for whatever reason it keeps getting turned off, so I miss a simple $45 payment and then they charge me $40 for being late. I turn auto pay back on and I'm good for a couple months and then again, my auto pay kicks off and another $40 fee. I assume my bill is being taken out automatically and not until I see my credit drop do I realize auto pay is switched off again. So, hundreds of dollars of fees have accumulated before I realize I have a problem again. Never have I had a problem with any other bank or card company, I do not struggle to pay $45 a month. TD Bank is set up to s**** the customer and make money.

I was treated very poorly by their staff, and very poorly by their seemingly abusive behavior towards a nearly blind, over 50, single father of Native ******** heritage. These folks adjusted a fixed mortgage payment, because they had incorrectly estimated their escrow amount, and then did not sufficiently notify the owner. They had incorrect phone numbers (completely unaffiliated with the owner) assigned to the owner account. When the owner tried to contact them, they insisted that I go into their bank to fix their account information. These are folks that purchased the account from another bank and then proceeded to improperly enter accurate contact information. When the owner did get in touch with them, they acted condescendingly and merely stated "send more money" which the owner did immediately to fix their incorrect escrow estimate. However, the bank individuals did not seem to comprehend that it takes a few days for funds to arrive by mail, and ref their prior online status, there was no way to immediately send the funds because their online system was wrong. After the owner simply paid off the entire mortgage, TD Bank is now over 90 days late in returning over $6,000 in escrow funds they had stored. Is it fraud? Is it criminal? Is it incompetence? Is it abusive? Who knows; however, I do know I will NEVER do business with them again and would urge folks to ****** twice if they are going to act this way towards you.

My first time with TD Retail. Worst **************** by a Supervisor! Supervisors need to be trained to be polite and respectful to their customers. The attitude of the supervisor was harsh and abrupt. And the agents should not make false statements and When they write notes on their side in your account, they need to be honest and put down what they promise you. I am now reading all the reviews and realizing why I didnt read before I had a transaction with them. Cant wait to finish this transaction & close my account.

People LOVE to complain and always make time to do so. It's seldom that we take the time to do the opposite ! Well! I just want to congratulate these two young ladies; ***************************** and ***************************, professional knowledgeable and helpful. They both spend as much time as needed, never rushed me, I fell confortable and knew I was in good hands.

First I want to say I had to choose a star I rather have the option of no stars. Ok so TD bank are criminally taking advantage of people with their small prints. I purchased 2 entired living room furniture for myself and child. I went with the 18 month promotion from ******************* Unfortunately life threw me on a loop and decided to just take the interest on the balance owed which wasnt much. Less than $2000. Anyhow 2 months after the promotion I decided to check my balance and was convinced that my card got hacked. I admittedly called TD bank and I was shocked to find out that since I didnt pay off my balance accrue interest was added to my total. The amount was close to $2000 in interest. Some of the furniture was less than that amount. I pleaded my situation and ask to pay total amount due and if the interest will be waived. No deal. I even offer a percentage of 50% of interest. No deal. I spoke to several supervisors. No deal. I paid them over $3200 and shredded their card. I will never recommend any credit or banking with TD bank. I shredded both target cards and Nostromd credit card which they also own. I was stupid for not reading the find print but no other credit card that I know of so accrued interest. Canceled. They wont be getting anymore of my money.

I purchased some items from ******* that are financed through TD Bank. I have made my payments each month and some months more. I checked my account and seem to be going NOWHERE. My payments each month are $29.00. Come to find out 1) there is no grace ****** for late fees and 2) I paid a $29.00 late fee the first time and they are $40.00 after that. That is ridiculous. So, after researching and reading through EVERY WORD of their Account Summary Table which discusses late fees, interest, etc, Item 7 states "The first time a minimum payment due is not received by the Payment due date, we may charge you a late fee of an amount equal to the minimum payment due or $29.00, whichever is less." They did that, HOWEVER, it goes on to read, "If over the next SIX billing cycles, the minimum payment due is not received by the payment due date, we will charge you a late fee of an amount equal to the minimum payment due or $40.00 WHICHEVER IS LESS!!!!!!." So, per THEIR TERMS, I have been WAY overcharged in late fees. I will NEVER do business with this company ever again.
