On 7/15/2022 we parked in a paid lot at ************************ and paid for one hour of parking via credit card at the kiosk. Citation number is ********. The kiosk does not issue paper receipts. When we returned to our car 10 minutes later we had been issued a citation for non-payment of the parking. Multiple attempts to reach the company via email and phone have failed. The phone number goes to an electronic disconnect tone after one ring and emails bounce back. The online system is now saying my appeal period has expired. They are attempting to charge me a citation of $63.00 for 15 minutes of parking. I have a screenshot of a text receipt that shows payment at 9:06pm. The citation was issued at 9:10pm. The texted receipt did not come through until approximately 9:20 pm. I am extremely frustrated by the lack of ability to contact the business and by what appear to me to be predatory practices.Customer Answer

i paid for parking at this companys lot and the company both incorrectly claimed i had either failed to pay or had stayed longer than i paid to. They then issues me a new charge via a document that was clearly designed to fool customers into believing it was a city issued parking ticket. It is absolutely predatory behavior by this company to:1) not have a warning to the customer about incurring extra fines and penalties beyond their posted parking ratesand this parking lot did not have any such notable signage. Plus they fail to provide any kind of written or electronic confirmation of the purchase to the customer at time of purchaseso of course when they later issue inaccurate violations with new fees there is no way to dispute them!2) to have a kiosk system that either misleads the customer about their purchase (i did not overstay the amount of parking time i paid for unless there is some fine print trick i failed to notice) or the kiosk ststem despite allowing me to purchase the parking time i needed still incorrectly marks certain vehicles (like mine) as violating the terms of their purchase when they didnt.3) to issue new fines on top of the original purchase and to have those fees escalate rapidly if you dont pay almost instantly is clearly designed to bully the consumer they know they are blindsiding. and they do so clearly trying to give you the impression this surprise (and inaccurate) new penalty fee is some kind of government issues citation. On Monday august 8, 2022 I drove to the kingshead pub and pulled into the same parking lot that Ive been using for the last year and a half. There was a truck conducting asphalt painting who had parked horizontally across several guest spots. I pulled into the one left which effectively blocked the truck from being able to pull forward. Not wanting to be in the way I moved a few spots down and waved to the worker who waved back. My assumption was that this was a mutually beneficial arrangement and went into the kingshead. When I came back outside less than an hour and a half later I had been given a parking citation for $43.00. (Citation number ********). Again I have never been issued a ticket or anything over the last year and a half of being a patron of the kingshead. I attempted to appeal the ticket explaining the same scenario as related above, and agreed that if my actions needed to be charged I would pay what ever 1.5 hours worth of parking was valued. The ticket was issued at 10:31 pm and the establishment closes at 12:00pm. The response to this was that I was at fault and there was no further discussion to be had. I would appreciate any help resolving this issue and not being charged a sum of $63-$83. Thanks in advance.Business Response

I just received a 'citation' in my mailbox, complete with a $40 late fee for a 'violation' we didn't even know had happened. No explanation, no description. Just "you have an outstanding parking notice". Apparently it happened 5/22 outside of ******, but we paid for our parking spot that day and never got any kind of notice or citation on our car. Either this company is predatory or at best deliberately shady. What did we do wrong besides pay for a parking spot at a business that we were patrons of?Business Response

We parked in this lot and went to the machine to pay. We entered the license plate 3 times and entered the credit card when prompted. Then the machine said "no receipt printed" only to come out to a $63 dollar ticket after 1.5 hours. Total scam and no way to fight the ticket or people to call.Business Response

FL Parking Co.Parking Violation #******** A regular mailed notice for an alleged parking violation issued by this business was received a couple of days ago. The referenced service was completely paid for at the time. Following some research, I found out there is a systemic problem with the recognition software used by this type of businesses, which have prompted an authority investigation in some cities. This have result in a broad unjustified issuance of violation bills to consumers and its consequent monetary loss.I kindly request the business to remove this violation and any balance due to it's baseless nature.Customer Answer

We parked in two parking lots in this companies care over the last two months, paid for both instances and were fined two tickets for having paid to park in these lots. This is ridiculous. I parked at St. ****** pass in *******. My watch showed 11:43 (the machine also has an issue adjusting for more time; please test it. I tried to enter 2 hours but only given 1 hour.) My son and I went fishing and returned at 12:43. I'm good with paying a penalty if the swipe time is actually 11:41 as stated on the citation. However, to pay $43 for possibly being 2 minutes late?....that is gouging and is not fair for a $7/hour lot.
