I had been a customer of ******************** Connect since moving to my present location in 2010 and had been paying yearly for my internet service. On May 20, 2022 a horrendous hail storm struck this area and knocked out Speed Connects equipment that was atop a water tower. Per them, the equipment could not be repaired and they were not going to replace it and suspended all service to this area. I had a $308.65 (Three hundred eight dollars and 65/100) credit balance on my account. I have made numerous phone calls regarding the refund of this credit balance to no avail. I have spoken to the billing department and all I get is that they are working on it. It has been 14 (fourteen) months and I still have not received a refund. I would appreciate assistance in getting those monies back from this company.Initial Complaint

We have not had Internet for a week now. 8/7/23 to 8/14/23.Called multiple times, always says they are closed and gives times of being open for service. Have called during those times. I need to cancel service with TPT SpeedConnect. When I call **************, an automated system answers, states there operating hours and then hangs up. There web site, ******************************* does not have a place to cancel service. I can't get ahold of Speedconnect. I would like to extend my contract to get a lower bill like I have always done in the past. I have been calling to cancel my service with speedconnect and their phone says they are closed every time I call during business hours. They sent me a bill. Speed connect has been our internet provider for at least ten years. Last month they took 3 times the normal monthly payment amount from our account, with no explanation. Within the last few days, we received system emails from them stating that we are approaching our monthly data limit, which we have always had unlimited data and have not changed that. We have tried responding to them by email with no reply back and have called the **************** number. Whether you try to connect with 'Sales', 'Technical Support' or 'Billing', the recorded message first asks to remain on the line until your party is reached, then another automated message comes stating that the Office is closed, office hours are Mon - Fri, 9am-7pm, Eastern standard time. I have tried calling for the last week and everyday this is the message received. It is obviously impossible to resolve this issue when no one in **************** will answer the phone or email a response back.Initial Complaint

since June billing month, speed connect has been assessing late fees. I have the canceled check thry cashed and they even wrote a number on the check above the name. I can't call them, usually the message is that "its not normal business hours". sometimes there is nothing at all. I've opened a support ticket automatically by emailing support at speed connect dot Com. so far my current bill is about 170$ it's usually 70. so they are no longer cashing checks? news to me.
