2 starsYes. It is a beautiful athletic country club. But their customer service and loyalty is sub par at best. They keep increasing their fees, as their services and club maintenance decreases. They change apps without giving notice, and procedures with no instruction. Oh and FYI, they charge you $2.25 a month for the magazine you never actually asked for, but was buried in the small print. Their loophole. I spoke to the club manager, who unsubscribed me, but then passed the blame to corporate when i asked for a credit back. So i called corporate, who passed the decision back to the club itself.I spoke with ****** at corporate, who could not have been more obnoxious, followed by a supervisor ****, who was more professional, but thoroughly unhelpful and clearly not well trained or interested in keeping members. I must have sent 20 referrals to this club in the past year. I will never send another. How do they not get this??? How easy it is to lose a customer's good will. And how simple to fix and keep. Anyway, after stating how i was never told about a magazine fee, even though it was buried in the contract. She said, oh, the first 3 months were complimentary, after that, if you don't unsubscribe, then we charge you monthly. When i offered to give her her unrequested magazines back, she still refused to adjust the fees. In my opinion this is duplicitous and underhanded. I get the money grab, but when your members call you on it, you should at least credit them back. On principal. The proper response should have been, "we are sorry you were unaware, we will do better at letting our members know about this. Of course, we will be happy to credit you back, your loyalty as a founding member is important to us." That is how you do it, so that you don't get a BBB review of your behavior shared. Seriously. Members...Check your statements. You will find this magazine fee added monthly. It comes to $30/more a year. Call to remove if you are unaware.Review fromJudy G

1 starBeing on ******** advantage and started a few months ago now learned that this place is pulling members under that plan. So they seem to want to rid of seniors. Its a nice place but they are lol bout money and employees are pushed to sell sell sell. One importer tip here do not use their Nutritionist there, especially if you have health concerns because she is NOT licensed or certified.Wont really miss this place.Review fromDa B

2 starsLife Time Fitness, **********, ** is a nice and clean gym with great aquatic facilities and a mostly pleasant staff. However, you had better enjoy it while you are young because, once you turn 65, they want you OUT!!!I know it is hard to believe a public gym can get away with age discrimination in today's world, but Life Time has figured out how to do it. Once they find out how old you are, they give you the option of sharply curtailed access hours or paying astronomically higher monthly dues or leaving. If you have a ******** Advantage plan that pays your dues, they like you even less. I used to give rave reviews of the facility to anyone who asked, but that was before I knew how I would be treated when I turned 65. Now that ********************** has turned their discriminatory practices toward me, I do not speak so highly of them. That's unfortunate because I genuinely like the facility and most of the staff. But I know those who set these misguided policies will get older one day to - and what goes around, comes around. Be forewarned!Review fromKevin Y

(This review is for Lifetime in ********, **. The website forwards to this location.)Lifetime prides themselves for their customer service while having zero. Signed up for swimming classes and day care for my special needs son. We did the swimming classes for two months on autopay. My son had to have a surgery done that didnt allow him to swim anymore for some time. I was still charged after I asked to pause payments. I asked for a refund for the months I was charged. Its coming up on a year now and I still havent gotten a single call back after speaking with dozens of different people every few weeks or so. There is so much turn over no one can stay on top of my request or be bothered to look into it. Additionally, very strange as a new customer with my child at the daycare I had to escalate to be able to see the rooms where classes were held. We actually werent able to see the classes at all. Very troubling as a parent leaving your special needs child with strangers. Another time at the day care I sat back to see how the care givers were, I noticed my son was upset about something and was yelled at get away from me. My son has behavioral issues and is hearing impaired so this was especially troubling. In conclusion, we couldnt trust staff to leave our child there or get our money back.Life Time Fitness Inc

2 starsI have been an on-off member for some time. I can say that the facilities are nice, and fairly modern, but there dedication to cut cost at the expense of the users convenience is astounding. From their elevators, to sign-in, to the app that everything runs through, none are user friendly because they try to automate it all at bottom dollar costs. And in the past few visits, i have been questioning the vigilance of their sanitation. I found a spider dangling from the ceiling in their 9th floor pool room, and a centipede in their bathroom. It was kind of shocking. And their corporate members are not very polite. I tried to speak with a *** with Customer Relations at their corporate office over an issue i have been having with my account, but he was somewhat rude and did not seem inclined to help me with my issue. I will be urging my friends and family to discontinue their subscriptions, as well as helping them find better, more polite and more affordable alternatives, which should not be ****** difficult.Review fromJames K

1 starMy wife has been a dedicated member of this gym for 16 years, and what I've witnessed recently is nothing short of betrayal to loyal members and extreme greed as Life Time has been engaging in non-stop price gouging. Her membership dues have increased from $89 in 2019 to $149 in 2023, over 67% in less than 4 years. 2.5 of those 4 years were during the pandemic.Time and time again, Life Time chooses to take advantage of its long-standing members, displaying a complete lack of loyalty and integrity and increasing dues using meaningless buzzwords like refreshed spaces and enhanced programming as an excuse to maximize their margins. Moreover, they frame their messaging of due increases to loyal members as a display of appreciation because its a whopping $40 below the rate of new members. Ridiculous. This kind of greed is simply unacceptable and anyone considering this gym should think twice before becoming a member.Review fromLinda C

1 starI have been a loyal and dedicated member of Lifetime Fitness and I have always considered the facilities and services provided by your gym to be of great quality. However, my recent interactions with the manager ******* has significantly tarnished my overall experience.Unfortunately, I have observed a noticeable misuse of his authority. Instead of leading with professionalism and respect, he has exhibited a demeanor that is both mean and belittling. On numerous occasions, he has spoken to me in an unkind and dismissive tone. His behavior is not only unprofessional but also inappropriate for someone in a managerial role.As a paying customer, I strongly believe that every member deserves to be treated with the utmost respect, regardless of the circumstances. Nobody should be subjected to the kind of mistreatment and rudeness that I have experienced during my interactions with him. It is important to me that Lifetime Fitness maintains a positive and welcoming environment for all its members.Review fromKarin T

1 starI put my account on hold as a traveling nurse, which I reside in *****. They switched my account to a ******** club and charged my account for a year, in which I never went into a club.I called when I knew my hold was coming up to renew and noticed they had been charging me. I spoke to the CEO assistant to an account specialist neither were willing to help me. They fraudulently charge me over $1400 and will not issue a refund, nor will they apologize or do the right thing.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!Review fromCarrie F

1 starPlease stay clear of their Summer **** and child care. My 7-year-old daughter was attacked by a girl who was going around telling the other kids that her mom just went to prison for having too many weapons in her car! My daughter was bleeding from her scratched leg and got kicked in the head. She received no first aid and I didnt get a call right away either?! And they would still leave their back door propped open with a small plastic box unsupervised! Before that, the underage assigned counselor to my daughter was allowed to have razor sharp fake nails that were several inches long. These counselors are supposed to be administering first aid and handing out food such as lunch and snacks to their children. This minor attempted to force my daughter up from where she was sitting by sticking her hand with the long sharp nails in her face! Then, got a call saying she was hitting their counselors when she swatted her hand away saying I had to pick her up for the day. They also wrote her up and accused her of screaming at other children when she was ran into and slapped in the face accidentally, spit in the face by a boy and being forced to play a made up wicked witch game?! When I brought this to managements attention, both Lifetime Kids manager and GM *****, they would just deny anything was inappropriate or unprofessional and blow me off by telling me they couldnt tell me anything as a member?! They also questioned whether or not my daughter was a fit for their camp?! We were there last summer with no major issues. The Lifespa manager, ******, was also very rude when I made mani appointments for my girls saying we had an encampment in their Spa and they didnt allow children in there and the area was only for members? Even though we bought lunch for the LifeCafe?! This gym is not kid-friendly! They also are very discriminatory! I will be taking legal action.
