My former business provided me a $250 gift card as a going away gift. The date on that transaction was 10/24/2023.The gift card was brand new still sealed in the original packaging and I went to use it today and it had already been used. Us bank would not help me. I was on active duty deployment from October 2020 until December 2022. I was injured and just completed surgery and rehab from rotator cuff surgery. I am currently still in the Army reserves about to deploy to ****** January ****. I had secured credit card account with U.S. bank. I was returned by $1000.00 and giving an unsecured credit card establishment. Within a year while still just finishing up my DWELL time and injury my account credit card was reduced from ***** to $500 without just caused. I put in a complaint and contested it on my credit report which also affected my credit report points. It reduced me dont almost 19 points. I want my account returned back to the original $1000 as I was protected under the soldiers credit relief act. (SCRA)Business Response

On 10/30/23 I tried to deposit a check. On 11/1/23 called the bank because couldnt use my card, found out account was closed. Called talked to **** he said there was nothing he could do. I asked him if my husbands SSD check would be deposited or sent back, he stated since account closed it will be returned to SSD. The check was deposited on 11/6/23 so I called the 24/7 line and ****** said to call the branch and have the manager uproot it and give me the money & just close the accounts that way.. went to branch talked to **** he still said nothing he could do. Now hes telling me that we have to wait until 11/22/23 the latest for them to finish & send us the money that is ours. So now we have no money to pay our bills. To me it feels like they are stealing my husbands SSD money. Because it should have not been deposited after the account closed. Please help ******* husband get our money earlier than the 22nd so we can pay bills.Business Response

It is not right that they get to keep our money this long & longer. They know we havent spent any money since the end of October and they still get to take almost a month to send us a check of our money so we can pay our bills, even after the manager stated the *** check would not be deposited, but sent back to ***. So why did they deposit it & get to take so long to finish closing the account and send us all our money. If I owed them money they would want it right away not a month later. Especially after stating it wouldnt be long. Plus they would send it to a creditor. They need to change their communications when stuff like that happens. Im not a banker I didnt know it was a bad check, the bank couldve called to see what was going on instead of the way they did handle it. Think Ill just go to the news if we dont get our money soon.Business Response

Date attempted to use the card was 11/08/2023 at Target. Never used the card prior and got it as a gift on 9/26/2023. First time trying to use the card it was flagged for potential fraudulent activity. contacted Prepaidgift's customer service and the supervisor deactivated the card and is not asking for a copy of the front and back of my government issued ID for them to reissue! I have NEVER seen a gift card company asking the recipient of a gift to fax over these government documents. Horrible customer service from their supervisors!!!!!!Business Response

Credit card account # ******************* I was told by the ****** of the president/executive ****** that a credit was place back on my account for the disputes I filed against massage envy. My bookkeeper couldn't find any such records. When I called to verify the credit I was informed that the bank decided to reverse the credit and a letter was mailed out. It has been a lot of back and forth and I have submitted over 150 pages of documents to prove I didn't authorize the charges or agree to renew my membership. 05/02/2023 we had sold a 5th wheel for10.000 received a check and promptly put it into our checking acct. The next day it cleared. The person went sideways for no reason what so ever and put a stop payment on the check. It was submitted to us bank and after the check had cleared, us bank honored the illegal stop payment and refunded all her money which left us in debt to us bank *******. We did nothing wrong!!! This caused late payments because they closed our acct. Now I have auto pays to redo and direct deposit checks having to be rerouted.Business Response

I noticed this morning that US Bank has been charging me a **** fee monthly for "monthly maintenance". I have never seen this happen to my account before the last three months. When I called, the representative told me it was because "my account was below 300". I am a poor college student and this is quite common for me. I had no notice when signing up for my basic checking account that a 300 dollar minimum was required or else I would be charged a fee. I have heard Bank employees talking and stating that fees like this are in place to make money for their employers. When I asked the representative on the phone, she had no explanation why a fee was needed if my account was less than 300 vs over 300. To be clear, it's not like I have 5 dollars in my account; I have 285. But because it is less than 300, I am charged a fee? I am a poor college student with often a few hundred dollars to pay bills and buy food. This is a clear extortion of people who are already struggling.There is absolutely no reason to be charged a "fee" for having less than 300. There is absolutely no explanation for what that fee is for. It is a way for Bank employees to slowly extort money from individuals who don't have a lot of money and likely won't complain about it. I need that money back and the bank needs to stop charging people for having less than 300 in their account. I want my money back and they need to stop charging me monthly fees. There has been no resolution. These fees need to be removed and refunded, as there is no legitimate reason behind them besides to procure and extort money from low-income people; **** every month from millions of low income people adds up to very substantial amounts for US Bank.
Return this money now! We need it for food and necessities.

USbank froze my accounts and.im getting the run around trying to find out what happened. I just got out of the hospital and need to fill my blood pressure medication and bit a blood pressure monitor and get food and my card is being declined. I have a broken ankle and know no one here. I need my money. I am also Diabetic and just got a script for my medication which is $1,000 dollars. Every ***** I own is in this account. I just got the first water bill for the year as they screwed up w me New here and its $400 I have.5 days to pay it or my water will be turned off. I didn't do anything wrong. There is no reason for my account to be put on hold or frozen. My.bp was at 196/103 at the hospital I need my medication!!!! I could die w out it or end up back in there w a stroke. I can't get any of my prescriptions,pay my utilities,or go to any of my drs Apts as they have stolen all of my money. I am diabetic and have no food! I could die! I am so upset! I received a letter dated Nov 6th stating my account would be closed within 15 days and I would be receiving my cashiers check of my funds. It's been a month since I haven't had any money and I've been put in a huge financial situation and health situation unable to get meds, food,pay bills get my dying dog to the vet. Now they found a parathyroid tumor on my Ultrasound recently. Which needs further medical treatment. I have to have money to be able to do this.

Bank close my account after i made a transfer from my PayPal account to my US Bank.This embarrasy and discusty how bank take desicion without any reason..I have 3 bank account and all was close and my online banking was disable too. I came to the branch and they said no thing to do for help me. If the bank can not received a transfer they can hold or just refund before act in that Way..
