Company left a message on my voicemail stating that I owed money for garbage service. Every time I called, I was either put on hold or informed that someone was not able to talk to me at this time. Once I did connect with someone, they told me I owed ***** from an unpaid bill in 2020. I asked for a paper copy, and was told that they could only send the copy to an email. I said ok - send to my email, and she then wanted to know what my email was. When I told her I didn't think I owed her anything, and they should have had my email, she then said she could mail me something. When I asked why it was from 2020, she had no good answer but told me there would be an explanation coming in the mail., something seems very fishy. ************ is the number that was called for this.Business Response

Overcharged for services for several months in a row. Have been working via email and phone calls for over 6 months trying to get resolution and refund for overcharges.Starting in August of last year, I began receiving an additional charge of $56.99 every two months, over and above my collection charge of $120.88. I emailed several levels of customer service and attached the overage charges from my Discover bills for each of these months. A door knocker came to my door and we discussed possibly switching to curbside. I mentioned I wanted to talk to my current company a month later I received a curbside dumpster bin near my garage. I never allowed anyone on my property and I called to cancel any services. I left a voicemail explaining that I wanted to cancel service yet they are still insisting that I pay a $240 cancellation fee. This is extremely unethical and an absolute scam.I want the dumpster bin removed from my house and my service canceled. If this was handled better, I may have considered their services and the future future, but I will no longer ever consider using their services.Business Response

Original date July 31st. Pd $17.00 for yard waste bin for rest of this yr and next. I agreed upon a 96-gallon garbage can along with 95-gallon yard waste bin. I agreed to pay $17.00 per month a total of $34.00 every 2 months that included taxes and fees. It took that deal for me to even consider leaving my garbage service because I was happy with them except expensive. I didn't start service until 10.01.24. I received a bill for $50.00 which I found very odd, I did pay it and thought I would call **************** to discuss discrepancy. When I originally signed up, I called Curbside Waste to discuss the offer I received and was advised that my offer would be honored and no problem. We received our garbage cans, and they were filthy! I called the **************** and stated I'm a new customer and I'm rather shocked that we received filthy cans as new customers. She advised that after I first pick up, leave the cans out and new ones would be delivered. Our first pick up on 10/01/24 the night before we put our cans right on the side of our driveway completely on the end. The yard waste bin was picked up but not garbage. I've called numerous times, emailed numerous times. Unable to contact Manager per my numerous requests. I'm completely being lied to regarding my account because when I called, I was advised I owed 50. something on *****, nothing was showing on ****. I had to prove my payments. The charge are inaccurate to begin with. I had to get contract out to make sure of amts. Every day they say, I'm scheduled for a pickup that day and nothing gets picked up. Thru email they're now saying my garbage was picked up on Tuesday @ 2:15., this is beyond NOT true. I've had numerous experiences with this company this week and nothing is being honored, nothing is being done they have said. Very unprofessional and completely unreliable! Not honoring the amounts! Curbside came around the neighborhood selling their services. I checked on their website and they looked ligit so I signed up. I never received any correspondence so I contacted them, again and again. They finally said dumpsters were being delivered by the 15th, but they were not. I contacted them again and again and then they came back to tell me they don't service our area. I know they service our area because a house on my street uses their service. I am being told lies with every corner. They did bring one dumpster for waste but said they can't collect recycle. I have told them more than once, in a email, that my mailing address is Excelsior and my physical address is Chanhassen. I am stuck with a one year contract with the company but they tell me they don't service recycle in my area. My paperwork from the person who signed me up shows both trash and recycle. They have only provided me hours of stress and one way communication (from me to them). I have asked more than once to speak to someone who could really help me out and they give me a little hope but then that quickly fails. I believe this company is a fraud.Business Response

We signed up to have our garbage picked up starting on June 1, 2024. Now, in th middle of Sept 2024. Curbside has only successfully picked up our garbage 1 or twice. We have to continue to call and they still wont waive the $200 penalty.Initial Complaint

I have obtained Curbside Waste to come pick up our garbage. They have scheduled every Monday for Garbage and every other Monday for Recycling. On Monday September 16th we never received those services. And nobody on our street received those services. I contacted the company and said yes it was picked up. When I told them they were wrong they said I shouldve called earlier, and now I have to wait for next week. I asked for a refund on this week and they said they dont do refunds for anything. Have 2 months left of paid service and I was told if I cancel I wont get refunded, because once again they dont do refunds.Business Response

New service was to start September 1, 2024. Today is September 16th. We have yet to get our garbage cart and yard waste cart. We have missed 3 days of service that has been prepaid. I have called well over 10 times, left messages, sent emails and nothing is being done. I keep hearing the carts are being delivered today or the carts are being delivered tomorrow. Curbside sent someone door to door who promised that their service was 1) not going to change price like the one I'd had at the time, 2) was going to be sending invoices rather than just charging my credit card, 3) would NOT sign me up for auto pay which I specifically stated I was not authorizing, 4) yard waste with a bin WAS INCLUDED in the service he was pitching. He had paper covering the bottom half of the contract and it wasn't clear until after I'd signed that there was more than a half page. Later I discovered that he'd lied and not only had he lied but he hadn't even signed me up for yard waste at all (clearly because to do so he would have had to chose an option that would have made clear he was lying about the inclusion aspect). I only started with Curbside after Labor Day and the yard waste service period is April to end of Oct. Obviously significantly more than half the service period for the bin has passed by the time I even could start using yard waste. There was no mention of a need to contact them per time rather than just have them pick up the compostable bags at the time of the garbage pick up (again that would have exposed his lie about the bin being included). Having a bin and yard waste included in the garbage was THE key component to why I switched companies. Nothing appears to be the way they are saying and I won't be surprised if they attempt to autopay the account and also that the three months free doesn't materialize. Even if BBB can't get them to do anything appropriate in response to their fraud I still want anyone checking to be aware of how absolutely unethical and rotten this company is.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
They didn't offer any real outcomes. First, I don't care that they are acknowledging that there is a bin option beyond bags, they aren't honoring the sales pitch. What difference does it make if I get great offers when they don't stand by them?? Also, nobody ever did call to get in contact and when I've called them myself they are immovable. They won't do anything to stand by their sales persons offer. Then they "offer" a possible late start bin option for MORE than what is actually a pro-rated price when you consider the annual fee the contract says and the number of months that's supposed to cover. So their "offer" is to pay more for the last two months than 2 months pro-rated from the annual cost. This business doesn't have any intention of doing the right thing which is why I filed the BBB complaint in the first place.Business Response

Curbside waste does offer yard waste service but you do need to have a annual account set up for yard waste if you choose to not have a yard waste account you can do on call yard waste pick up for bags but you will need to call and make a work order and payment each time you need to use this service per contract there is no word of FREE yard waste you would need to pay for this service We will have someone reach out to see how you want to move forward thanksCustomer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
they haven't yet offered anything. Every response is just telling me that have yard waste, that I can get great deals from the sales people coming to the door in their name, that I have to order and pay for yard waste. NOTHING to actually solve the problem. It's clearly totally worthless to even try because they think responding to a complaint with just more of their sales information is a reasonable response. Can't wait until I'm done with them.
