WORST INSURANCE EVER!Employer switched to Bind UHC PPO Choice from UHC PPO Choice Plus. I have been fighting cancer for 2 years with complete no problems from insurance. 4 weeks ago the cancer spread to my liver and is aggressive. Doctors want to start chemo immediately ... but Bind has not approved treatment. **** wants me to pay $15,560. for the 3 weeks of treatment or wait for the insurance. TERRIBLE .. I have reached out to this company several times regarding the benefits they have for cat employees. United Health Care states that if any of these employees go on Hospice and are in a skilled facility, the facility will get paid for room and board. I have claims going back to 2018 that aren't paid b/c the state not enough information, that they need more. So when we send them more, it's a duplicate claim and it is denied. It's a constant battle to get anywhere with United Health Care. I thought I was getting somewhere. I got ahold of a supervisor and she was working with me on these cases. I had 5 of them. She got one to pay and now she has ghosted me and I've left several messages and no return call. My facility should not take a hit on these unpaid claims when we have literally sent exactly everything they have requested tons of times. I would like to get these claims paid. They shouldn't be denied at this point for timely filing b/c we have continuing to do what they ask for each and every time they have requested it.UnitedHealth Group

I've had a terrible experience with Bind/Surest. They have a great, user friendly app, that will tell you certain items are covered under your plan. However, when you go to utilize those routine services, they will deny them as "Not Necessary". My doctor shared that for my 2 extremely routine tests (that she sends hundreds of patients for per week), she has never had any other insurance deny the care except Bind. I then called their customer care line who also told me all of the tests were covered under my plan. If you have any other option, avoid this company at all costs. This complaint is about OptumRX. I have a rather expensive prescription, 300. each refill. I tell my doctor that I still have a six month supply and don't need a refill. Well they submitted the refill anyway. One annoyance there. So I get a text saying it was just submitted, so out in that very doctors parking lot I called OptumRX and asked them to NOT fill the Rx and put it on hold. The next day I received an email saying it was being processed, so I called again and complained. They said they might not be able to stop the Rx due to it was already being processed. I have never ever seen OptumRX process an order so quick in the whole time I've been doing business with them, especially the cheaper Rxs.My complaint is they are so greedy they can't even hold back from filling a expensive Rx when requested. It's like both OptumRX and the doctors office are paid a commission. Disgusting!UnitedHealth Group

OptumRX is by far the worst prescription insurance company on the market. They deny medications written by your physician and state that it doesn't meet some unwritten criteria. They believe a pharmacist knows has the educational capacity to overturn an ****'s course of action via medication, which only leaves the patient with the health issues the **** is trying to relieve. OptumRX will make decisions based on what they believe to be is in their best interest and not the patient's. Denying medications that were designed for a certain medical condition even though the patient has been diagnosed with this said condition. OptumRX will place medications "on hold" pending a pharmacist approval. Why? The doctor prescribed it, just fill it as the doctor knows how to do his/her job. They will not fill a prescription due to the label type: Name brand or generic?!? If they refuse to cover a name brand medication, then change the medication to its generic counterpart and send it. Instead, they will just deny it and not inform the patient or the prescribing physician which leaves the patient in a dire situation without certain medications that a person may need to continue on with a life as normal as one can be with a lifelong medical condition. Absolute corporate bullies to their customers because they know they can get away with it. I'm sure the top execs have no idea how terribly this company is being run either. As long as the company turns a profit on paper and the board members can get their bonus checks and big salaries off the backs of the customers that rely on them to do what we pay them to do, then I'm sure nothing will change, and we are all wasting our time complaining. Who will or who can actually hold them accountable when they can simply show auditors what they want them to see?Thousands of bad reviews and customer complaints should be the red flag waiving for an investigation into their business practices.UnitedHealth Group

Bad customer service. Started new job and signed up for United Healthcare in 8/22. Went online and picked a primary provider. Received insurance card and they changed PCP.... no problem. Called Dr. ****** to schedule appointment " not accepting new patients until 11/22 or 12/22. Called 100+ dr ****** and got the same answer. Called and emai UnitedHealth no help locating dr that accepting new patients. I paying $180 a week for something i can't use for 3 months, that $2k invested United. Can't do anything without a PCP....physical, labs, or prescription refill.UnitedHealth Group

Attempted to enroll in Optum Pay in order to receive ACH payment but processing of the application is being stalled intentionally. It is now almost 2 months since the process started, documents were resubmitted twice directly by email to a customer representative, who verified receipt, and confirmed both times being sent to correct department for processing, called for 5th time but documents in receipt but not further processed. Call records of prior calls being deleted in order to appear as if no call/complaint made. Attempted to completed voice survey at end of call and was placed on hold and then hung up on in order to not allow to file complaint via survey.UnitedHealth Group

This company is the WORST!They hook you on the niceties and tell you everything is going to be fine. But when you have and accident and need to have help, no one can give you a proper answer or help you adequately. On top of that, they charge an arm and a leg for premiums that don't even do anything for you! Customer service is never available, or if they are, you need to wait on the line for hours. When you finally talk to someone, everything is glossed over and theres no follow up. I just got charged $1000 for insurance this month, for something that I'm not even using! They don't care about you or your issues, just scamming you to sign some papers and then get gouged for services unreceived.Not to mention, trying to find someone within the network who is decent, is beyond horrible. The call center to find out these things gives you the runaround (if you're able to get a hold of someone). And, its the same list that I can find online. No help whatsoever. Do not use this company for anything. You'll regret it when the time comes.UnitedHealth Group

This review is about OptumRX, which is part of this company. I was told that my prescription from my previous doctor might be denied and that I would have to find a new doctor (an impossibility in my area, where every doctor is booked 6 months in advance). I didn't expect any difficulties with this previous prescription (which was only 2 months old). The woman actually said to me, "You're so funny, getting upset about your prescription."I can't stop thinking about it. Absolutely worst service I have ever seen. I was trying to setup my account online so that I could see my expenses. Waited for 30 min before getting to a customer rep. **** was fine because I understand business can be busy but after attempting to solve my issue for a while, the rep simply cancelled the call. I tried calling again, but after waiting for another 20 min, they simply cut the call. Probably going to contact my HR to see if I could change this business.UnitedHealth Group
