1 starThis is a formal complaint about OptumRxs mishandling of my prescription order placed 21 July 2022. OptumRx operates a faulty website and application that creates duplicate accounts and then puts prescription orders on hold. I experienced this with OptumRx over a year ago while covered by UMR with a ********* employer, and that duplicate account was not tied to any professed confusion about mailing addresses. OptumRx was not confused about my mailing address, because prescriptions placed by a second MD after the as yet unfilled order were immediately processed and delivered. Additionally, OptumRxs customer service personnel are under-trained and apparently unaccountable to OptumRxs management for keeping their commitments to solving the problems that they create. A less determined and resourceful customer would have given up far sooner than I and may not have tried to source the medications elsewhere. In cases where OptumRxs unresponsiveness wears their customers to the point of abandoning the medication, harm can be caused. It is clear that OptumRx, as a company, is not concerned with their obligation to do no harm to those to whom it should dispense medications. OptumRxs technology failures are likely systemic and have been allowed to languish for at least a year, if not longer. If their system can cause duplicate accounts for me when covered by two different insurers in two different states more than one year apart, I can only wonder how many other such instances have occurred and how many patients have suffered as a result of OptumRxs obvious lack of investment of time and resources. As you investigate, I urge you to consider the needs of OptumRxs elderly patients, and/or those with limited internet access who rely on the customer service team for help, and to take appropriate action to compel OptumRx to examine its failures objectively and dedicate the efforts necessary to treat its customers with the care they deserve from a pharmacy.Review fromBrian W

This company is preditory.I cancelled my policy 2 times over the past 3 months and they continue to take a "auto withdrawal" from my bank account. I've had to call and they will not give me a refund.They always say the refund will be prorated and I don't get anything back, but thry take anothet premium out again the next month.This is a horse c*** company that is morally bankrupt. 1 starI would give them no stars if possible. After holding up my IVF prescriptions for weeks, they were finally delivered without my needles the day before I was scheduled to start. After telling them my needles were not received, they shipped a new order to be delivered 3 days after my scheduled start date to the wrong address. Worst company ever! Had shoulder surgery that was covered because I met my in network deductible. They decided they weren't covering the $210 sling I was sent home in and they were putting it to my out of network deductible. Won't cover my prescriptions from CVS that I have been going to for 18 years. I tried the pharmacy they said was in network and I went 3 weeks with swollen eyes because the pharmacy didn't want to order the medicine because it was expensive and they wanted to make sure they got paid. I wish there was a place to report them and they would be investigated.UnitedHealth Group

1 starThe worst experience ever, Do NOT Do NOT use Optum Rx I waited a month and spent countless hrs. and phone calls to get my medication and the have no clue what they are doing. If I depended on my prescription to live, I would be dead What a waste, bad service, bad company, bad follow-up I have no idea how or why they are still in business I asked my doctor to redirect my prescription to my local pharmacist.. If I could give zero stars I would. I signed up with this company over a week ago, and they had no problem taking my money, but refused to assist me in logging in or register to use my insurance. I spoke to 8 different customer service reps, none of which were competent or helpful. I was misgendered and called the wrong name multiple times even though they had all my information already. I have to file a charge back with my bank since they refuse to work with me or refund the money they stole. It's been an absolute nightmare. I believe this company purposely targets people with disabilities and takes advantage of them. They are liars and thieves. I should have done more research before buying, live and learn. Definitely the worst insurance companies!! My mother has been waiting almost 4 weeks for a prescription. Apparently united health can decide the cost is too high and will cancel your prescriptions. However, they wont bother to call and tell you that!!! So she waited 3 weeks for it to arrive and finally called them to find out why she hadnt received it. Thats when they told her they had canceled it! That was 4 days ago and she told them to overnight it. The rep said they would. I told her to call the next day and the rep she spoke to the day before never entered it in the computer. So she told the new rep to overnight it. Still didnt arrive. She called today and they said it will arrive tomorrow. However, I checked the tracking and it still hasnt shipped. Only a label was created which means she wont get it for 2 more days. Tried to speak with a supervisor and he didnt seem to care at all. Said he couldnt speak to me about her account. I understand that but I wasnt asking him to give me any info. Just wanted him to make sure it ships today!!! He wouldnt give me his real name and is in another country, probably *****. He was a totally jerk! Im disgusted but this company. They should be put out of business. Im going to report them to the local pharmacy board!DONT EVER GET INSURANCE WITH THEM!!!!UnitedHealth Group

Terrible! Supposed to help people but deny a ******** approved medical procedure. If they were in a customer,s position dealing with pain etc. they MIGHT think about what is right before being so quick to deny. This has happened to many customers and should not be allowed.
