Had a payment sent to them did not include my name or my account number . I did email them the copy of the check they cashed it has been 6 months and they still have not applied my payment. I have spent so much time calling them with no result. A better business practice is not to cash a check you dont know who it and came from and what account it goes to. Return it back to the sender. Do not keep money that is not yours and you dont even apply it to the account of the person who sent to you via email and has proof of payment.UnitedHealth Group

I purchased a set of hearing aids. I was eligible for a full refund if I didn't like the produce. I returned they 2 weeks later. Poly Clinic was happy to take me money at purchase but after a month I still have not received the credit either to me or my insurance company. I have called numerous time and each time I get a different story on the process. At this point I am unable to purchase hearing aids!UnitedHealth Group

I agree United Healthcare is the worst. My old insurance had no problem paying for meds now UHC will not pay. This will greatly impact my overall health. Also, no dentist in this area will take UHC. I'll be switching back soon. Goodbye UHC.UnitedHealth Group

Yeah you did call me and then lied again. Was supposed to get a call back last Friday but it's a week later and still no call or any information on my meds.Also, the dental insurance part pays nothing. I went to the dentist and I'm stuck with a $2400 **** and UHC pays $0.T. F.

Today I had oral surgery that cost me over $2400 out of my pocket. United Healthcare didn't and wouldn't pay a dime. Then the Doctor gave me 18 hydrocodone that they wouldn't pay for either. Had to call at least 6 people to get them. Goodbye UHC. I'm switching plans asap.Review fromOmid M.

I wish I had 0 grade option here but there is no 0 grade!! It is very dishonest and terrible insurance company I have seen. They try to take your money for slowly. Nowhere is in Network and website is not updated. Most of the prescriptions are not covered and you have to pay by yourself.customer service representatives are super incompetent and have no idea about your concern. It is just like someone random on the street picks up your call!!!Beware and NEVER NEVER choose it as your insurance!!!UnitedHealth Group

Worst customer service I've ever dealt with. I've now spent 5 hours and have spoken with (literally) ***************************************** number and policy number. My broker in customer service stopped responding after I paid (*****************************). I haven't even filed a claim yet and dealing with this company has been an absolute nightmare.UnitedHealth Group

1 starMy medication was ordered on July 21, 2022. I called Optum Rx on July 25th to verify the delivery date on my 5 medications that I take twice a day and should not discontinue taking. I was told my medications would arrive on July 29. The weekend arrived and I ran out of medication, so I called OptumRx, and my phone call was received in ***************. I hardly understood them, and they had NO idea why my medication wasn't processed and shipped out to my address. I have auto refills so there should be no excuse to cause a delay of the shipment. I asked them to transfer the call back to the US and then the circus started. After 6 transferred phone calls nobody could tell me where my medication was or when the shipment would arrive. I drove to a local pharmacy near me, since Optum Rx said to do that to get an emergency supply, and Optum Rx said they would call the pharmacy to let them know I was coming to get an emergency supply. However, the pharmacy refused to give me any meds for the weekend because they needed my Dr's ****** Thanks to the quick action of my doctor, she phoned the pharmacy Friday evening so I could get an emergency supply, despite the fact that Optum Rx said they were calling the pharmacy. I called OptumRx again, and of course *************** answered. The associate's name was '*****" who promised she would call the pharmacy and help me out. Four hours later nothing happened. Finally, on Monday I placed a call to OptumRx and the associate in *************** answered and after two more transferred phone calls, I finally received approval for my medication. 1 starShowed for routine annual physical. Optum in *** received me and asked if I wanted my annual flu shot so I got one. That was covered BUT getting a vaccine magically changed the billing code from physical to an "office visit"...which is diagnostic and not covered. In hindsite, I should always get my shots from a pharmacy and NEVER from my primary doctor or it will cost me around $170. A silly system where to use my insurance, I have to go to a stranger to give me immunizations instead of my primary doc. Recommend you call all parties several times to make this an expensive unfair practice.Review fromC. C.

As a provider, I have not been paid by UHC since Nov. 2021 for one young client, and March of this year (2022) that I can figure out!!I am going to resign from their panel so I don't have to spend any more unpaid time trying to get paid. They seem very inept as they continually ask for copies of a client's mental health record, then can't explain why, for example, an attempted murder victim doesn't need counseling, therefore, deciding not o pay me (an LPC). I have been contacted via email by a UHC rep asking me to try and give them all the information for clients they haven't paid for (for example, I was JUST paid for a current client for ****** May, June, and the beg. of July). This is in direct violation of ORS 743B.450 as I was never notified they would be late. I was never sent any notification payment was denied, but when I called it was suggested I appeal their decision. When I asked how to do that, they didn't have an answer. I have been asked to audit their system somehow, unpaid. I spent nearly 2 hours on the phone with them before we were cut off, and when I tried to call back the calls "failed". I truly don't know what else to do but to report them to the ********************* I will give it to my billing professional (who I have to pay),first and wait to see if they can straighten out this mess themselves, but not for long. This company still owes me a ton of money. They pick on the self-insured/small local business consumers aot larger corporations. They pick and choose which sessions of counseling they decide to pay for, and leave me and vulnerable clients to try and collect. One of my personal ************ managers told me they owe them over $10,000 dollars (small, local family doctor--it was only brought up because I changed my insurance carrier and they asked me if it was UHC)! It's truly a shame. If I could write the unpaid claims off on my taxes, I would as it's caused pain to my clients, all of which just changed their insurance carriers.....Review fromChelsea H

We’ve had an opportunity to review the comments provided by the reviewer above and provide the following in response.
Our records show the reviewer applied for coverage under five (5) plans offered by our Company. These plans include our Secure Advantage Specified Disease Plan, Secure Advantage Accident Only Plan, Secure Advantage Health and Wellness Plan, MedGuard Critical Illness Plan and our Accident Protector Plan. The Specified Diseases/Illnesses and Accident Only Insurance Plans are “excepted benefit plans” under the Affordable Care Act (“ACA”) but are not considered “minimum essential coverage” under it. Therefore, they are not governed by the terms of the ACA and the application for coverage is subject to underwriting approval. The availability of benefits is subject to the definitions, provisions, exclusions and limitations of the Certificates.
At the time of application, the reviewer also enrolled in a membership with the American Independent Business Coalition.
All coverage was issued with an effective date of July 23, 2021.
Our records indicate that the reviewer contacted our office on July 25, 2022, to request cancellation of her coverage, effective July 11, 2022, as she had obtained other coverage. The reviewer contacted our office again on July 28, 2022, to confirm that her Plans would be cancelled. Our representative advised that her request for cancellation had been placed with our Policy Owner Service Department.
As the reviewer’s premium draft date is the 23rd of each month, the premium draft for July had already been initiated at the time of her initial call to our Company for cancellation. Our records indicate that the July premium was reversed on August 2, 2022. Refunds are mailed out within 72 hours of reversal in our system.
