      The worst customer service in dental EVER!. I made a dental claim for a cavity that needed repair under a crown. I sent in all proper paperwork. they denied the claim. said they saw no need. the dentist office sent Multiple copy's of the x-ray. then the dentist sent another one with the cavity high lit in Red. United health care received that x-ray and said "All I needed was a receipt". I sent one in with the claim. But I went back to the dentist and got another receipt. I sent that to United health care. They just sent me another letter of denial. I had a second service done and that was the same work on another tooth. They paid that after 5 months. Also they denied all of my prescriptions. United Health Care is charging me a fee of $12.10 per month for drug plan.

      I spent over 3 hours trying to cancel, as they had me having 2 policies.Waited on line for advocate, then had someone who could hardly speak English, put on hold several times and then told I had wrong number. Given another number, and same run around.I found several different emails, hoping I can get this straightened out. Have had insurance with them for years

      ZERO STARS - I am simply trying to cancel my health insurance during open enrollment period due to the fact that I am moving states and need a different policy. I have been on the phone for over 3 hours being passed around by completely incompetent people and I am infuriated. They have been paying my medical claims for a year but I magically can't be pulled up in the system? Are you kidding me? Why is it even legal that I can use a few clicks online to sign up but I am forced to call and BEG for anyone to pay attention to cancel the policy? After submitting a negative "anonymous" review my app and website pages magically started glitching uncontrollably and lost access to portions of the websites designated for open enrollment planning for next year. Insane that these people are in business at all, what a joke. That's American Healthcare for you.

      Denies your doctors requests for MRI or anything major when you have the best coverage they offer, all for run around reasons. They wont pay. They just want your money

      OptumRX is terrible! My husband recently retired and our prescription coverage changed to OptumRX from Express Scripts. It has been a nightmare. They don't want to approve anything for Type 2 Diabetes that actually works. I had just started Mounjaro and it was working wonderfully, Optum had me jump through all kinds of hoops with multiple preauthorization's, appeals and trying other meds. Then in the end they just said, "It's not covered by your plan". When I requested the plan guidelines as indicated on my denial paperwork they wrote me back and told me "It's not covered by your plan". Now I have been trying to fill my script for insulin since I can no longer take Mounjaro. It says it's ready to fill, then when I place the order online, the order says it will ship, then I check a couple days later, and the order says it won't be shipped, and I won't be charged. This has happened twice and now I am on the phone trying to get it to shipped. It turns out they cant find any to send to me, so they have just been cancelling my order. They told me on the phone they will try to ship within 7-10 business days, so I guess I just have to go without my insulin until they find some to send to me. My husband just got denied for ******** for type 2 diabetes and it's supposed to lower the risk of heart complications. He had open heart surgery a couple years ago. They said Its not covered by your plan He won't deal with the hassle of appealing this so he said he just won't take it and he'll try to get his sugar down on his own. Hopefully, he doesnt have another heart attack from high blood sugar. The stress of having to handle all the issues with Optum is drastically affecting my mental health.

      Over 8 months ago I had the misfortune of being severely bit in the face by a dog. I had to be rushed to the emergency room. The hospital I went to was in network with United Health, however the on call doctor they called in was not. I have called at least a half a dozen times, spoken to countless claims specialists and *** continues to fail to resolve. The claims keep being rejected and the provider continues to not be paid. Additionally *** should be processing these as in-network as this was an emergency. The hospital that I went to was in network, I did not get to choose the doctor. This should have been paid months ago and I have to continue to relive the trauma, re-explaining the situation to each and every claims person I have spoken with. I need this to be resolved so I can move on with my life.

      Please steer clear of this companys HSA option. My experience has anything but pleasant. I have an *** account with optum that is funded through payroll deduction and it literally takes them 5 days after pay date to fund your card with health benefit funds that are vital to those who need them. In this era of advanced technology and the option to fund instantly you would think a company offering healthcare benefits would prioritize fast and easy access to those benefits but that is not the case.

      Ive had an incredibly disappointing experience with *********************** From the start, communication has been frustratingly slow and unclear. Reaching a representative who could provide meaningful assistance has felt impossible, and every step in the process has been riddled with delays and poor communication.When I finally submitted a claim, it was met with denial, despite my policy clearly covering the issue. I had hoped to receive support and guidance, but instead, I found myself navigating complex policy language on my own with little help from their team. If you're looking for a responsive, supportive insurance provider, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. My experience has left me deeply dissatisfied and frustrated.
