My elderly Aunt (complaintant name) for who I have POA has been charged by this company each month since March 2023, mostly recently on 6/22/23 for $79.99. Upon calling the # on the charge for EFS I was told they were “only the processor”. They did provide me with the company info for who is initiating the charge but I’ve not reached a person to speak with. Since EFS is the entity on the credit card, they are responsible and need to refund all charges since March as my Aunt did not knowingly authorize this. It is so sad there are so many people out to scam the elderly. I’ve read the other complaints posted here at BBB and each response from EFS starts with “we are only the processor”, but they should add who continues to do business with these scams set up to rob the elderly of what little they have,
I would very much appreciate assistance with stopping further charges and getting a refund for the past charges.Business Response

I am filing this on behalf of my mother.
My elderly Mother got scammed by you guys. She kept getting mail for a warranty and even though I called and told you to stop sending bogus information to her, you kept doing it until she gave you her information. All these complaints on here are the same thing. You say the same responce. You know what you are doing since you keep processing the payments. How dare you. I want her account deleted and her payments refunded. The Massachusetts Attorney General needs to get involved. This is a form of elder abuse!!Business Response

You are correct that we are giving the same answer, because that answer is true. We process payments many different companies, selling many different products, and some of them sell the same products. We do NOT sell, cancel, solicit, or provide leads. It appears your mother called in and requested the warranty, which is in fact a legitimate product, that she has been able to file claims on if needed. Since date of birth is not required, there is no way for a rep to know how old someone is, but even if it was, it would be considered discrimination to deny them coverage due to age.
Having said that, the information has been forwarded to the seller of the policy, and your request for cancellation will be processed.

On May 10, 2023 I was billed $87.99 that I did not authorize from EFS COMPANIES LLC.
As this is no doubt a scam directed at the elderly, EFS Companies should be ashamed and promptly refund my $87.99 and remove me from their list of easy marks to steal from.

In addition to this, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that age is not a factor in the sale of any policy, since birthdays are not required.

Recently she has been receiving a credit card bill with a ***** charge for EFS Omega, which she did not take out or was not aware of what she was being asked to do. A fraudulent charge from EFS Omega is showing up on my mothers visa. She is not receiving services from this company.
They are preying on elderly people
This needs to stop and these charges need to stop. Refund any prior payments immediately. Cancel any and all services connected to this charge. We have contacted the credit card company to file a fraud claim against EFS
