I have been a card holder for many years. I accepted extremely high fees for a credit card that offers $700 limit. I simply forgot to make the payment that was due on April 6th, 2024. I was charged a $41.00 late on 04/06/2024 and my payment due on May 6th is now $140.00. I will not pay that. I am being charged a monthly fee of $12.50. I closed my account. I called into customer service and asked why the payment was nearly triple the normal and I asked if the late fee could be credited back.******************* In fact in January I made a two hundred payment by accident and the refused to credit that back to me. They sent an email stating that I didn't pay which was false. I payment two $97.00 payments.I want a refund of the late fees the $41.00 and any other late fees that I have paid forgetting a payment is not a crime. I also want the $12.50 monthly fee credited back. Once these two items are done. I will pay the balance - the account balance should fall to under $400.00. They also will not report me late to the credit bureau. The company was also engaging in telephone harassment -they were calling my cell phone 10 times a day.Business Response

Milestone Credit Card. This institution is backed by the bank of missouri. this credit card company is illegally holding customers funds for an additional 7 days before providing credit. Meaning that it takes them half a month to credit a check payment but they only accept check payments. so pretty much if you pay your balances monthly you only have access to your card 2 wks out of every month. now they say its per their discretion but its has happened twice and ive only had the card 4 months. this should be illegal that gives the bank a wk of funding that goes unaccounted for. they say its padding to make sure payment post but something tells me its padding to make their monthly quotas to be more than what the bank actually has then once the paper work is completed and they do what they need to with the money in a wk then they credit customers accountsBusiness Response

I had a card with Milestone cc and had nothing but issues. I never recieved a new card I requested and had to quickly move due to a domestic situation. I have never in my adult life had requested of me the items they requsted juat to get a new card which made it virtually imposssible to get a new card. I had no choice but to cancel the card and when I requested a settlement amount, I was told an email was sent for tp do this, which I never got, and that the system automatically generates these I asked that they as a company can not provide a resolution and that a machine basically does it? This debt collector engaged in abusive, deceptive, and unfair practices of the ***** which it prohibits. They furnished this account that we didn't agree upon and I didn't sign an agreement on. A legal contract is signed by two parties and I did not participate in any of it. More so, they didn't follow the proper procedure in notating my dispute of the account, which is a direct violation of 15 USC 1692e(8), which makes this unfair practices. According to the ***** Im entitled to ***** dollars per violation and clearly they violated my rights.I demand this company to delete this account from all 3 credit reporting agencies and compensate me for the violations or I will have no choice but to forward this to my litigation attorney who has advised me that the fact that they didnt notate my account on my credit report as consumer disputes as a violation that I am able to *** them under.Business Response
