I paid my policy every month for a year until I had a transmission problem. Took my car to a repair shop that accepted Car Shield (which is not easy to find by the way) Shop determined it needed to be replaced. It took 1 week for the inspector to come and agree with the diagnosis. It was another 6 weeks to get my car back while Car Shield searched for a USED transmission. In the end they paid 963.00 for the repair and I paid 1600.00 for a rental vehicle. They say they cover rentals but the fine print says it only covers rentals for the amount of time the repair should take. Total waste of money I could have paid the repair myself and saved money after renting a car for 6 weeks

I’ve been meaning to do a CarShield review since I dropped them like a hot potato about six months ago. I paid into my warranty for about two years… two years! And guess what? The second I needed CarShield …..I was MUD to them. They use these WASHED-UP actors to promote a service that is non-existing. Every time I see a CarShield commercial, which is about ten times a day… I get hives and I either mute the TV or I turn to another channel. From my experience and in my opinion… (CarShield and those actors are Lying!!!!) *** **** ***** ******* ***** ******, and the other no name actors need to stop, and smell the coffee. They even roped in ****** * *** to spew that fake warranty mumbo jumbo, (Child please!) None of these people need CarShield. They have enough money to buy something new every month, and I’m sure CarShield is paying them handsomely to mislead us hard-working people. CarShield don’t fix NOTHING!!!!!!. I bet most of the positive reviews are fake. They will go back and forth with you for days…weeks and from what I read here…months. Nope! Not with me! When I was told Carshield denied me and I was asked by the CarShield mechanic if I wanted them to go ahead and get my car repaired by them because it was already there? My answer was, **** Nall!, NO! Y’all are in cahoots. Give me my car! It's a win, win for both of them, CarShield doesn't pay, You pay out of pocket just to get your car back, they win. You have a useless policy. Please Note: This is for those of you who are thinking about signing on with CarShield. (DON’T!!!) Do yourself a favor. Stash those monthly payments under your mattress, By the time most of you will need it…. you will have saved enough to go directly to the mechanic of your choosing, skipping the middle- man, (CarSteal) yes, Steal. I wished I had read these reviews before I signed up. It would have saved me time, money and frustrations. CarShield motto, You pay, We delay. Excuse me BBB...How do you give a ZERO Rating?CarShield

SCAM First, they gave me the incorrect address for the car repair shop. Luckily there were two other shops on the block. One shop was skeptical of Car Shield . They tried to call Customer ********************** without success. I, too, tried to call without success. I will be talking with my attorney to start a Court case against Car ShieldCarShield

Car Shield has been giving me the runaround and has denied my claim saying that it must have been damaged before I got the CarShield insurance. I drove my car constantly and there was nothing wrong with it when I bought the policy. I brought the car to dealership to have some minor work done and when they hooked up the computer to my car found out there were codes that came up for transmission. When they got in touch with CarShield it was immediately DENIED. Its such a Scam. They want your money but dont want to pay out when there is something wrong. They even sent out an adjuster to make sure the Cadillac dealership was correct in their assessment and CarShield even agreed that there was a problem. But they just dont want to pay for this that is covered. There are many lawsuits out there so be careful of this company. They are NOT THERE when they are needed most and REFUSE to pay for legitimate claims.CarShield

I put in my information on CarShield's website to get a quote and received a return call from a very pushy salesman. I went into this phone call knowing that this is their job and they need to sale their service, but after telling the salesman over 10 times that I was just wanting a quote and to not purchase at this time since I was still looking at my options, he proceeded to ask how I wanted to pay for the initial start up! Not to mention he started out with the cost being $135 went down to $118 and then further down to $107 before I hung up on him. Just by the interaction on the phone is worrisome to me and I will not be doing business with this company.CarShield

Terrible adjusters don’t respond and deny even though I had platinum coverage for 4 years . Service locations will not take car shield actually has a warning regarding Car Shield and ************ company that decides what they pay and if they pay. Warning don’t get suckered in.CarShield

Carshield is straight trash! They take your money every month and don't wanna pay for the repairs. I took my car to 3 different repair shops in two months because carshield would not fix my car and bad enough I have two plans under them but I'm about to cancel my services. I'm sorry I've never been serviced yet! They take the mechanics through issues like they don't how to find the problem with your car. Carshield is trash, trash, trash!CarShield

CarShield is a total scam. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not give this company your money. I had a simple claim for my car months after purchasing the coverage. My AC compressor went out. I took it to the dealership and the dealership called me stating that CarShield denied the coverage. I called CarShield and they told me that it was the dealership's fault. I took it back to the dealership and listened while they called CarShield and Carshield stated that the diagnostics were done completed correctly so they could not approve the claim. I then took my car to another shop, they completed the diagnostics on the car (which I paid for out of pocket) and CarShield denied the service again. I then took my car to a shop that CarShield advised me to take it to and it happened for the 3rd time. The shop owner called CarShield on speaker phone while I was sitting there and told him that the part was not covered. I then called CarShield on speaker phone and complained that they told me to take the car there and that the part was covered and CarShield said that it was a covered part. After I told CarShield that they were on speaker phone and the shop owner was listening I got hung up on. They called me back and asked me not to put them on speaker phone that they had to "deal with" the shop one-on-one. I called the next day and after a brief argument was able to cancel the coverage. I paid for the service out of pocket for $400 and CarShield lost a customer for life. This company is a complete rip off. Please don't trust any of the commercials or spokespeople.CarShield
