I had two issues. I needed a water pump and a transmission repair. In both instances they found reasons that my repair was not covered.

A scam. My parents had them and they would not offer to pay for repairs even after a diagnostic at a dealership. Dealership said carshield is a ** that doesnt pay so they wouldn't start repairs.CarShield

I just had the starter go out of my car, over the July 4th weekend. Called to get the Okay for service, and they 'offer' towing, but I have AAA for that, and thank goodness I didn't use Car Shields towing as I still might be stuck with the ****. The mechanic called Saturday to get it all sorted out and they told them to provide service and then call with the total amount later. (They closed early)I was able to get my only mode of transportation out of the shop and paid the $775 for the service.I then submitted my receipt for the parts and labor. Little did I know, they get to look up the price of the part on **** and use the cheapest priced one as how much they get to refund. So I am now getting a check for about $400.This is the only time I have made a clime that they have paid. I have paid them a total of $2793 and I think that $775 is a small amount they can refund. And I should include that they are calling me just about every week to renew the service and saying the new provider is better then the one I have now. I would like a full refund of the amount I paid in subtracting the check they have sent.CarShield

I signed up for Car Shield on my 2012 **** F150 about 6 months ago as the vehicle was out of warranty and I thought that this protection would be good to have. I had an issue pop up with the cabin fan and I took it to the dealer for an estimate. They reported it to Car Shield for the claim and it was promptly denied because of some mumbo jumbo where they would not cover it if it had a relay or something like that. Needless to say, I have been paying for coverage and the first time that I filed a claim they denied it for some flimsy excuse. I have cancelled the monthly billing and would like to advise other people to not do business with themCarShield

Car Shield has no right going through third parties finding my new address, I have the same letter sent to me twice .. I am tired, of calling advertisements in one state and they **** for you in another state upon which I moved. I didnt give car shield any permission to stay in contact with me, did give money or right to search my personal information.. I want to be removed from ther mailing list.CarShield

They are the biggest scammers dont trust there insurance if you have a policy and got it when you had more then ************************************************************* when you have a problem you will see that there excuse is we dont cover that because you have to many miles but your policy says they cover all of that, policy has been written to make you believe you are covered until you have a problem.CarShield

Very poor service overall. I had high hopes for CarShield. I even convinced my wife to sign up. Well after a couple of denials for payment on repairs, weve decided to cancel and be done. I feel like they just took our money and that was it. Had we just saved the money we paid them on a monthly basis, the repairs would not have been an issue. Good riddance!!CarShield

Its no wonder that CarShield is not BBB Accredited. They also have a generic response to all of their denials that are reported on this site. Such a rip off unwary and unsuspecting consumers. Shame on them!!Review fromDavid T

Car shield is a Rip off. Who ever gives them 5 stars and a good review is obviously working for car shield or got paid to write a positive review. I bought the warranty for my ES350 when my transmission went out I got it towed to the nearest Lexus Dealership. It took a car shield rep 1 month to go to the dealership and inspect my car. They ignored everything the Lexus technician said about what was wrong with my car and just said that it was a pre existing condition and that they were going to decline the claim. It seems like these guys are just out to take your money and not actually warranty your car.CarShield

This company is a scam, paid for months and when the vehicle broke down, I ne er received a rental and my vehicle was in the shop for 5 weeks with no repairs being done because car shield keep making excuses for what was going on until they said that I was canceled because I had installed a electric brake hook up on the truck by a professional shop and that void the contract so I never got anything from car shield and they *********** my money. Ridiculous that is company is it up and running and nothing being done to shut them down. SmhCarShield

Ive had coverage for several months. I finally needed to use it but every repair shop I went to or called flat out rejected CarShield coverage. My Air Conditioner stopped working due a possible leak and I went to my local ******* Service center who also rejected carshield coverage and I ended up paying out of pocket for the repairs. ******* offered me another plan accepted at wider locations and reasonable coverage should I need it in the future.CarShield
