Actually I was very impressed especially at the car dealership. They said they had no problems with Carshield. It went smoothly. I was very impressed. I was skeptical at first because of the first experience I had but I think it was handled wrongly on my end. I'm highly satisfied with carshield.CarShield

CarShield did not honor my warranty. I had my 2009 Honda Van Odyssey License No. *******- Mileage 80,437 towed to Clinton Transmission, **** *** ********** ***** ******** *** ***** on 8/23/21. I had to have my transmission overhaul and was charged $2,890.00 out of pocket for something this company was supposed to cover. I didn't know what to do until several people told me to contact BBB but I couldn't get through until I was just given this address and decided to respond because individuals should not be taken advantage of and I am on a fixed income. My warranty had not expired and I was in the office when the manager called CARSHIELD and my claim was denied. CarShield advertises falsely what they will do and that you can go to any shop to get your vehicle fixed. I paid $195.00 upfront and $157.00 was taken out monthly for 21 months for CarShield. My warranty does not expire until 2023. I am very disappointed in CarShield and the nerve of them not to own up and have actors and actresses do the commercials for them. I was taught your word is your bond. You reap what you sow.CarShield

1 starWe are very disappointed in CarShield. First you think youre dealing with Carshield but then they pass your policy over to *******************. I had a problem with my truck and brought it to the repair shop and gave them my policy information. This took place in the middle of May. If took numerous phone calls by the repair shop to set up an appointment to have an inspector come down. In the middle of all this our claim adjuster was changed from one adjuster to another adjuster which delayed our file even more. Then the new adjuster was unreliable in returning calls to us or the repair shop. When he finally did called back to the repair shop he was put in touch with an inspector. He did a virtual call with the repair shop and submitted a report tothe adjuster. It took several weeks before anyone heard from him. We spoke to 7 people in the claims department they all said they couldn't get in touch with our adjuster nor was there any notes they could relay to us as far as the status of our claim. Finally the last person we spoke to from the claims department reached out to a supervisor of her department to reach out to a supervisor from his department to help. After all that he denied the claim and in his notes read by the last customer ********************** rep, he described everything but what was wrong with the truck (wrong parts, etc. ) and wanted to send another inspector. At this point which was today July 28, 2022, we canceled our two policies because of incompetence. We were very disappointment with the overall service and run around. We asked to be fully refunded for a policy that was ineffective and at our dismay we were turned down for a refund and would only be able to cancel them. It seems that CarShield is in the business of selling unusable policies sounds like a scam to me.Review fromDenora D

They say pay for the warranty and you dont have to worry. Well I worried for three weeks. No rental no car and still had to pay over 660 dollars out of my pocket before that decided that they werent going to fix my car. They didnt even have the decency to notify me of the denial by phone or in writing. Why would I continue to make payments when that dont stand by their contact.CarShield

I have had this coverage for quite some time and paid almost $2000. Ive called 3 times to asked about coverage and told it wouldnt be covered so I didnt bother filing a claim. Today my repair shop filed a claim and now Im told it wont be covered. Last month I complained and was talked into keeping the coverage and now being denied for this claim!! This is ridiculous! I am on a monthly disability check and have spent a lot of money for absolutely NOTHING!! I have canceled this coverage and I want some of my money back!!CarShield

This company is a rip-off! They promise you the world and none of them are true.I was told I can go to the repair shop of my choice. But no one would accept Carshield because of bad history. Their ADs are all misleading. I finally reached out to Carshield and asked them to recommend a repair shop that would accept to work with Carshield. They recommended a place in ***********. I went there and sure enough they said they would not work with them because they just drag payment approvals and waste the Mechanic's time. I finally found a place myself that was willing to work with Carshield,True to form Carshield refused to approve payment for the work. So I cancelled the contract and now they refuse to refund me my money and keep calling me to renew.CarShield

They advertise they fix air conditioner. That's not totally true, only the compressor, not the $900.00 hoses or recharging the system. They may replace your motor but you still have to pay for anything else that was destroyed;hoses,gaskets, and wiring. When I got my car worked on, it took over a month for the garage to get approved to work on the car.CarShield

I think car shield is a rip off.i talk to one of the reps there and they assure me that I was cover with my whole suv.but found out I wasnt.i didn't receive a contract she told told me to go on line after she gotten my money.i would appreciate if I could get a refund for the lies that was told to me about the serviceCarShield

CarShield. 10/17/2019. I looked around and spoke with a sales rep from CarShield as I had very recently purchased a used 2010 **** Exp with about ****** miles on it. I was told that because of the low mileage, the *** qualified for their top policy for a used vehicle. On or about the end of March 2022, I was driving to ****, **., when a heater water hose split and coolant drained out. Since coolant drained out, I got NO overheat warning on the dash. NONE. But did get a urgent notice to pull over and shut off engine, which I did. Was towed in. My CarShield claim was denied because any damage resulting from the loss of coolant is not covered for repair. I had the policy for about 3 1/2 years and considered the $3,750 +/- paid CarShield a complete loss and a rip off. And they haven't reimburse me the towing cost from 3 months ago.Be forewarned. They will find any way to not pay a claim. A giant rip off. There needs to be a Class Action suit against CarShield.CarShield
