      Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns raised by the consumer regarding the account placed with our agency.
      Meridian Financial Services, Inc. is a third-party collection agency that handles accounts on behalf of our clients, including ***********************. The account in question was placed with our agency on December 29, 2023.
      To address the consumers dispute, we have provided the following supporting documentation for their review:

      Loan History for the account, detailing the outstanding balance of $1,654.
      Membership Enrollment Agreement, executed by the consumer on September 9, 2022, which establishes their liability for the debt.

      These documents substantiate the validity of the debt and the consumers obligation to the creditor, SHARELIFE VACATIONS LLC. While Meridian Financial Services does not have a direct contract with the consumer, our role as a third-party collection agency is to manage and collect this account on behalf of the original creditor.

      Meridian Financial placed a collection on my credit report from Flagship Condominium based on me sharing an address with another party. I disputed this with ********** as the debt belongs to someone else. Meridian verified it as accurate. I again disputed the debt and attached the contract for ******************** showing my name is not listed on the contract and that they have the wrong person. They again verified it as accurate for Transunion. I called them to speak to someone and they were extremely rude, would not listen, cut me off from speaking multiple times, only saying that since I DO NOT have an account with them they cannot talk to me. My response to that was I know I don't have an account with you yet you are reporting it to Transunion as if I do and you had 2 times to correct it when I disputed it with proof yet you keep verifying it as accurate. I was told to call their corporate office ************ however no one answers this number all you can do is leave a message. I called 37 times with the same result. I then called Transunion who has now entered yet another dispute and informs me I am at the mercy of Meridian or Flagship. I do not understand how a company can 1 place a $3600 collection on my credit report because I have the same address as the person with the debt 2. Ignore the documentation I submitted showing my name is not on the contract. 3 Be so rude and unprofessional to the point of threatening me to hang up on me because they cannot discuss someone else's account. This is absurd! Not to mention the 37 phone calls to a "corporate" number that has yet to return my call. Please help! With the actual owners permission I have attached the contract between ******** and responsible parties which is not me

      Sales informed us contract was cancelable at any time. Contract was not as specified when we explored planning an additional vacation, so it was cancelled on site the next day. Contract services were never used. Credit card was cancelled for the transaction immediately.Dr. ** *******

      All amounts that Meridian pursues are authorized by the documents that the debtor signed to create the debt and/or state law. Please note, Meridian is a third-party collection agency located in ************** that specializes in the timeshare industry.  Meridian is not the owner or holder of the outstanding debt.

      Upon researching Mr. ********* claims, our client provided the attached Membership Contract and Promissory Note along with all other related documents that were executed ****** *** ******* on November 3, 2023, related to his purchase of the membership through *********************   Our client also provided the Payment History Report for Mr. ************** Please note, our client indicates that to date they have never received a request for cancellation from Mr. ************** Should he have evidence to the contrary he may provide it to our office for review.

      I am rejecting this response because: At presentation the one key factor that are decision was based on was the sales person and his assistant informing us that we could cancel at any time.  I also stated that as we attempted  to determine the utilization of this product, we discovered it cant be used as described  by the sales team.  After making this discovery we visited the site the next day and shared our concerns and informed them to cancel the contract at which time we were told the contract would be canceled but they couldnt give me a straight answer on the original deposit, and no one who could make that decision was present.  We received a lot of that type of run around without specific answers.  We then notified our credit card company and cancelled the card.

      I am not liable for debt with Promotora Turistica Punta Bete. I do not have a contract with Meridian Financial Services who is attempting to collect a debt. They did not provide me with a contract or any proof of debt owed that I requested in a debt validation letter I sent them in July 2024 via **** certified mail. They did not respond to the debt validation letter. I have acceptance confirmation from **** that they received the debt validation letter within the 30 day window of when Meridian notified me that they would be attempting to collect a debt. They are required to stop trying to collect the debt until they validate that I owe it. Instead, they reported a derogatory collections debt to mine and my wife's credit reports that showed up in September 2024 but reports back to June 2024 on ********. They continue to send debt collection attempt letters as of October 14, 2024, instead of responding to the debt validation letter.

      All amounts that Meridian pursues are authorized by the documents that the debtor signed to create the debt and/or state law. Please note, ******* is a third party collection agency located in ************** that specializes in the timeshare industry.  Meridian is not the owner or holder of the outstanding debt.

      Upon researching her claim, I have determined that Meridian did receive a previous request for validation on August 11, 2024 and responded with the requested documentation via **** mail on September 11, 2022. I have attached the documentation that was sent to his ***************************************************; ***** address for his convenience.    Note, to date we have not received the documents back as undeliverable or returned by the ****.

      I am rejecting this response for the following reasons:

      1) We did not receive any debt validation response at our address at any time in September or at any time from Meridian Financial Services or Meragon. It sounds like it was not sent to us via Certified Mail and was lost, if it was truly sent. Instead of debt validation, we have only received letters to collect payment which is a direct violation of the ***** from when Meridian received our response to their debt dispute form and the debt validation letter we mailed with it to Meridian via **** Certified Mail.

      2) The attached item provided yesterday by Meridian Financial Services does not have the name 'Promotora Turistica Punta Bete' listed on it, nor is their a debt listed or associated with it that shows proof that we owe a debt. 

      3) We do not have a contract with Meridian Financial Services or Meragon or any third party debt collection agency to pay any debt from Promotora Turistica Punta Bete.

      I request that since Meridian Financial Services cannot provide proof of debt, I demand this account be removed from my credit report as is my right per FCRA section 623.(a)(1). This is my last request before I file a formal complaint with the ****, the ***, and the TN attorney general for failure to comply with the *****.

      I have been trying to reach Meridian for over two weeks to negotiate my ridiculous debt.We were victims of Playa collection practices. We have used none of the services and have been trying to cancel by any means since the beginning. The company told us we can cancel AT ANYTIME, - verbal promises-

      This agency is a timeshare. I have never revisited the location and asked to sell it to dissolve the account. Going through a divorce and do not want to damage my credit.

      In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting act. The list of accounts below has violated my federal protected consumer rights to privacy and confidentiality under 15 *** 1681. Meridian Financial Services, Inc. #***** has violated my rights.

      and according to 15 USC 1681eb they are supposed to ensure this Whenever a consumer reporting agency prepares a consumer report it shall follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information concerning the individual about to whom the report relates. 


      15 U.S.C 1681c. (a)(5) Section States: no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any of the following items of information Any other adverse item information, other than records of convictions of crimes which antedates the report by more than seven years.
