This parking company has booted me at my own residence numerous times, is rude on the phone, and still makes you pay even in times of wrongful towing. This company boots me and others who PAY ($380) to park where we live, just to be booted illegally.Business Response

This isnt shocking this company preys on young adults in the political city. Not bbb registered shady as heck and charge different prices to different people. We will be filing a court doc and will be seeking an attorney if this isnt handled. This bs about not typing in exactly your license plate We were one number off while out and about and there was no other black ***** suv. Granted the So on a technicality they was charge a college student 180 to remover the boot. Granted 160 cash. 20 fee. Now I can tell you as a business man there is no service fee to run a credit card for ***** in American. I would really like to know who they are using to process these charges because I can guide them in the right direction. My guess is someone on the city board has approved this company and getting a cut back. And we will soon find out. There wasnt a black ***** crv within miles. We checked ************ is a bunch of scam artists who take great pride in this game they play. Whats crazy is the city lets this bs go on. Clearly tells you someone on that board is involved in making money if this.Business Response

Hello,

I had a boot placed on my truck on 8/23/2024 parked in visitor parking surrounded by nothing but empty spaces. I had left my phone in my company vehicle and got a ride to go retrieve it. I had no way of registering my vehicle. In any case I was surrounded by EMPTY spaces causing no issue for tenants, first responders, or any other living soul in regards to parking. This is extortion. Your company is predatory in nature and the fact that you have no appeals process speaks that very clearly. In a time where everyone is struggling financially to be extorted for the ridiculous $180 wheel lock fee is absolutely morally repugnant. Reading through these reviews and the generic replies herein shows that your business isn't in the business of making things right. Just making easy money preying on people in unfortunate situations.Customer Answer

I am parked at my own apartment complex with a new vehicle I bought. The process that I was told was to talk to office and they will give a temp tag. I come out to my car and it is booted. On top of that the agent says the wait till be an hour to hour and a half. This is insane to ask me to wait when I have explained that I am ready to pay. The operator was also very rude when I was trying to explain the situation and wouldnt even let me finish. He would cut me off and say that the details are explained online. Now is this the way to treat someone that is compliant. i dont under why they do this or how it is legal to operate like this but something needs to be done. Clearly their process isnt explained online otherwise this would have never happened. My other vehicle was registered properly yet somehow this one didnt meet their standards.Customer Answer

On 7/10/24 at 10am, I registered a rental car at my sons building, ************ in *********. This required scanning a QR code in the garage and filling out a form. However, there is NO cell service in the garage. Therefore, I took the elevator to the lobby to get a signal. When prompted to fill in the plate number, I accidentally transposed two of the numbers. (This would not have happened if I could have filled out the form in the garage). The next morning, well within the time left in my reservation, I discovered a boot on my car. The company, LMS, demanded $160 in cash or $180 in credit card to remove the boot. My car was the only black **** Expedition in the garage at the time. It was registered, but due to tiny print on the mobile app, the fact that it was a rental, my lack of reading glasses and the absence of any signal in the garage, I made a simple typo with the plate. This seems to be a predatory company who looks for vulnerable people. I paid via CC because I was helping my son to move and we were in a tight deadline. I tried to appeal to the dispatcher, but without success.Business Response

Hello,
When registering a vehicle it is important the vehicle's information is entered in accurately. The registration form requires vehicle owners to type their vehicle license plate in twice to help avoid making a mistake. The form is accompanied with a large warning message that does state incorrectly entering in a vehicle license plate would result in the vehicle being wheel locked or towed at the vehicle owner's expense. A confirmation email is sent once that form is submitted to the vehicle owner with a receipt of the vehicle's information that was typed in along with the same warning message. LMS Parking does not control cellular service inside of parking decks.

I am rejecting this response because:
1. The form referenced in the response as being "in very large letters" makes no sense. Users are required to scan a QR code and fill out the form on their mobile devices. This makes the print extremely small and hard to read. Again, please keep in mind that the user is asked to use a system that REQUIRES a wifi signal, even though there is almost never a wifi signal in the parking garage of this building. A system set up to fail!2. I did not get the confirmation email from the vendor for several hours. This was also read on my mobile device and unless I read the ENTIRE thing, I simply assumed the confirmation meant that I had done the process corrrectly.
3. There is NO room for human error in the vendor's system. I have seen online complaints from others like me who simply typed in one digit wrong. I was using a rental car and was in the middle of a giant moving project. Humans make mistakes and I typed a letter wrong. It should not cost me (or others) $180 for a mistake.
4. My car was the ONLY **** Expedition in the garage, and it was a large black SUV. I got the first four digits of the plate correct. You need to train your employees to use a little common sense and make adjustments if they suspect a typo.

I live in an apartment complex called ****************** in *********, **. My complex utilities a parking company that requires online registration. My partner ****** in guest parking this evening and attempted to register their car and the website would not work to register their vehicle (screenshots and screen recordings attached). We tried on their mobile device, my mobile device, and a computer. All three devices would not populate the page required to register the vehicle. We kept trying the website for the next 2 hours, and it still has not loaded. In addition to this, we tried the company website for the parking company and the ******* isnt even listed. We also provided a paper parking pass (I am aware this is the old process but the current process wasnt working so we wrote on the pass the website was down). When we arrived back, there was a boot on the vehicle. We called the company and explained the website is not working and we additionally left a note. The operator on the phone said that there is nothing they can do because my partner has successfully registered their vehicle in the past. This is a system error and not a user error. The new ********************** process should not be implemented and enforced if its not working, hence I am very upset the company is unwilling to remove the charge and they should be responsible for paying the boot charge if you are using a parking enforcement company that is not fully functioning for its guests.Business Response

Hello,
Thank you for providing that screenshot, we are able to see the device being used had low cellular/data reception. Visitors are required to be registered while parked within the community by either scanning the ** Code found on the Register2Park signs or by visiting the *** listed. I was directed where to park by a parking attendant, I paid 25 to park, returned to my vehicle to find a lock on my wheel. When I spoke with the attendant he told me I had to pay because I parked in an electric charging parking space. I questioned the parking attendant about the space and I was told it was first come first serve. I paid the $160 to be able to go home and then the charge was for $180. One scam after the other got this company. The police were called, they came, and told me it was fraudulent but they could not do anything about the wheel lock.Business Response

Hello,
Parking spaces can be reserved for specific vehicles such as ****************** or Handicap Accessible. Notations of which can be found via a sign in front of the space and/or marking on the space itself. Parking in violation to the parking lot's regulations will result in the vehicle being wheel locked or towed at the vehicle owner's expense.
