My acct. Was hit w nearly $10,000.00 worth of fraudulant charges. I agreed to a "claim paid" of $5,948.15. Only $1292 was deposited into my acct. *** called and i get the "call the claims ***** or "call the fraud ***** that $10k was every ***** i had.Business Response

Bank of America stopped my automatic credit card payments with NO notice at all, then charged me ridiculous fees after the August payment was not pulled as scheduled. I had a lengthy conversation with a phone agent who said she could not understand what happened. She did reverse the fees and said a supervisor would review the case and make things right. Bank of America is making it nearly impossible to reinstitute the automatic payments and refuses to explain why. I want an explanation for why the problem occurred in the first place, an apology for the amount of time I have had to spend on hold waiting for their agents to answer the call, and I want them to restart automatic payments immediately. Bank of America should also take responsibility to assuring that my credit score is not negatively affected by their illegal actions.Business Response

On July 8, I made a claim for some transactions that I did not recognize in my business account with Bank of America (claim number: ************). The bank agreed to carry out an investigation and notify me of the result of the same, which was against me and they decided that they could not return the money ($8,112.64) so ??they proceeded to send me a written letter explaining everything that happened (my card was stolen, my phone was hacked and they used my information to be able to use my credit card). debit and make purchases with it) I provide all the corresponding information and I still have not received an answer, much less my money, which is a quite considerable amount and without which my business would go bankrupt and I could not continue with it. I was the victim of both identity and money theft in my business account and the bank simply does not want to answer me for it when I trust their institution to take care of my money and business. I need a resolution for this and the return of my money to be able to continue with my business and not have to close it permanently since it is the only source of income that I have now. I enclose the letter that was sent to Bank of America with reference to the decision not to recognize the theft in my bank account and where I explain in detail everything that happened in this claim and all the corresponding information.Business Response

Bank of America closed Alaska Mileage Plan card without notice and within months after paying $75.00 annual fee. I paid the annual fee at end of April and I found out card was closed in August when I was unable to use it. Called to inquire why and they could not give me a reason and stated they could not reopen account.Business Response

My aunt, ***************************, was a citizen of ******* and she died in 2020. My children and I are her sole beneficiaries. She had an account at the bank of America for when she came to ******** so she could easily access money. She has been dead almost 2 years and weve been trying to get this money the whole time. The Bank of America refuses to give it to us. The Bank of Americas policy is that they will not let us transfer the money into a new account or touch the money without an EIN number. My aunt was not an American citizen, and never had a Social Security number or tax identification number. This means we cant get an EIN number for her. Again, its the Bank of Americas policy not law. We have been requesting the money since October 2020 and now believe the bank is just trying to keep the money. At every turn the bank has been resistant. They were resistant to give us information to the point we had to hire a lawyer. We are on the verge of suing but would prefer if you would help us.Business Response

I have been denied a claim for $5000 by Bank of America claims department twice. My edd prepaid card was hacked and $5000 was stolen from my account. Bank of America denied the claim saying no error has occurred. I read on abc7 news that this has happened to another person in a similar situation as mine. I want answers as to why the investigation cannot figure out who really took the money and can get my money back to me. I talked to one of the claim representative and I asked if I can talk to someone higher up and they replied that there was no one I could talk to.Business Response
