i bought a perfume set on black friday using the deal advertised on Belk's website for 20% off. my item was $115 less $23= $92. plus tax my order was $101.43. After the sales were over, they cancelled my order. I go back online to see if the item wasnt in stock any more and maybe that is why they cancelled it.. but the item online says IN STOCK ready to ship OR Pick up today. so why did they cancel my order? when i called customer service. they said they can submit an order on their end but now i can only get 10% off. why would i pay more for the item i already planned to purchase. i could have bought that item from any other website for the same deal of 20% off and had the perfume. the customer service rep said 10% was the best they could do now, did i still want to buy the item.... NO. this item was a gift for someone else- now that black friday deals are over- i have to shop somewhere else and pay more for the itemBusiness Response

I purchased some dress shirts on November 10th, 2022. I paid for overnight shipping and did not receive my merchandise for several days. I still havent received a black dress shirt order number **********. I did contact customer service and they never got back to me except with a comment they would refund my shipping which they have not and supposedly my order is still sitting in a ***** location in ******* since November. Belk is not willing to locate my package nor send me a new black dress shirt but I still have to pay for it. The resolution would be for Belk to replace the shirt OVERNIGHT. This is Belks responsibility to furnish me the merchandise I paid for. I have contacted Belk customer service 2 more times and they want respond. This is TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BUT ********************** is known to s**** people like they have done me. I have contacted my 2 local tv station and they are very willing to air this on the local news station. Shame on you Belk for mistreating me as a customer. I dont want any excuses from **********************. I want the RIGHT decision to be made to take care of a customer!!!Business Response

I purchased item #************* online for store pickup in ********, **. There was two available; however, when I arrived the order was not available and the store refused to refund my money. ******** ** location had two available but the item was not in stock. ********* ** location had two available but nothing in stock. The store managers refuse to refund my money and using the company online customer service returned the same refusal. It is unfortunate that the company policy is to provide poor customer service and refuse to refund purchases when there is no item available soley for willful gain. The company advertises ****** and trains the staff to refuse to refund money they have charged people.Business Response

Today I ordered a sweater online then I received an email saying that its not in the store anymore and do I want free shipping so they can send it to my home. Of course I jumped at the chance then I chatted online to customer service to let them know I want free shipping and then they said it might be on back order and it could be canceled. Belk department store: Case #*******: I had a complicated transaction and used a Belk customer service employee to help me with my order I had a $50 and $25 Belk birthday gift cards, a $10 Belk certificate, and an approx $13 Belk credi when I returned an item without the receipt. With the 4 shirts that I ordered, I only needed to put $10.44 on my Belk charge card which I did. The transaction went through but later I got a notice that my credit card could not be used, it was invalid. I spoke to Belks about it as the card was not expired until 12/2023 and there were no unpaid charges. Belks said call ************** Synchrony said that they had to issue new cards because the new computers needed a new Belk credit card. No notice of this was ever sent and my new card did not arrive for another 6 weeks. Meanwhile, my birthday credit cards, Belk $10 gift cert and $13 return item without receit were held hostage at Belk and I could not even place a new order until the new Belk charge card arrived. When I told my story to Belk they said they would give me $50 gift card above what was owed to me and I received that. Synchrony also gave me $50 for their .intakes. Meanwhile Belks or Snchrony still owe owes me approx $98 and neither one will pay. After I placed my order, I threw the birthday gift cards away so I would not accidently try to use them again. That $98 is MY money and I have spent literally hours on the phone trying to get it back. I would love to have the contact numbers of the highest persons in these stores and banks to explain how shoddy I have been treated. Please do what you do and send me a notice too. I ordered 14 items from Belk and didnt receive 5 of them. I contacted customer service and they wont help me since my order shows delivered. The rep told me to call back at the end of the day to have someone else help me. If I never received my items then I shouldnt have to pay for them. And I dang sure dont want to keep siting on hold. He also wouldnt let me speak to a supervisor. This is the worst customer service I have ever had! Thiefs!Business Response

I made a purchase, it was completed, shipping label created and ready to ship on November 9. No one has notified ***** to pick up the package nor taken the package to *****. *** tried calling and as soon as Ive given my name been hung up on twice. *** tried contacting online and the idiots cant understand and get things straight. I have received orders that were placed AFTER the order with the issue. I want my items Belk has already taken the money out of my bank account but will not ship my package. I deserve the items, a full refund AND at least a 50% off discount if I should ever decide to buy from again. How does Belk have an A+ rating with only 1 star? Im going to put my negative review on ********* tweeter, instagram, and tick tok. I am also seeking legal suit toward Belk and suing for legal expenses. Belk will loose. I placed an order (**********) on October 29, 2022. I had not received any shipping information and reached out to customer service on November 4, 2022. I was told the package had been delivered on November 1, 2022. A case (********) was opened because I had not received the merchandise. I was told someone would reach out in 3-5 business days. I reached out again to customer service on the night of November ******* and was told I was on the list and someone would contact me the following day, On November 14, 2022, I again reached out to customer service to request a refund of $278.16 for the handbag. I spoke with an agent, ****** who informed me the case had been escalated and there was nothing she could do. Again, someone would reach out to me in 3-4 days with a resolution of a package or refund. Day 1 being November 14th and I have yet to hear from anyone. Deception and ignoring the customer is poor customer service. I simply would like a refund.Business Response

On 10/26/2022 someone hacked my Belk, account using my bank debit card making a fraudulent purchase for $463 around 1:30 am., shipping the items to *******, **. That morning, while checking my emails, I discovered that I had a shipment confirmation from Belk. I checked my bank accound and had a negative account for over $400. I immediately contact Belk. I was given a case number, ********, and informed that I would be refunded in three business days. I contacted my bank and was informed that I would have to clear my account prior to being issued a new card. My check was deposited that Friday, and my bank account was cleared. And I was able to get a new bank card and an affidavit was filed. I contacted Belk on the third business day and was told that it takes five business days. I called back on the fifth day to find out about my funds, I was informed that nothing had been done. I have called several times, and Belk had done nothing to refund me. My band did issue me a provisional refund to help me pay my bills. I called Belk today, and was informed that nothing has been done. I need the money back. I contacted them in ample amount of time to contact the carrier to have the items rerouted back to the fulfillment center. I need the funds back because this was a fradulent order.Business Response

I placed an order for several items from Belk online including a pair of earrings - Belk Silverworks Lab Created Stone and Cubic Zirconia Hoop Earrings, and Belk Gold tone open thread wrapped opal hoop earrings.When I received the package, it included only one of the Belk Silverworks Lab Created Stone and Cubic Zirconia Hoop Earrings, and none of the Belk Gold tone open thread wrapped opal hoop earrings. I used my lunch break at work to drive to Belk to return the "one" earring and was asked by the sales associate where the other earring was. She rolled her eyes at me. I got a refund for earring (one) from Belk. Now, I am waiting to file a dispute with Belk for being charged for the Belk Gold tone open thread wrapped opal hoop earrings that I never received.Business Response
