Purchased a Electrolux Fridigare ************* in May of 2021, the sealed system failed and was replaced by warranty in June of 2022. The same failure has now occured on the replacement unit. **************** says no escalation is available on May 17, 2023 and the only remedy is for me to pay to repair the broken unit. They claim purchase date of the unit is in May of 2021, despite having a Order Number and Serial from June of 2022. Repeated failure of the same system suggests designed obsolesence and only rememdy is for consumer to bear expense based on interpretation of Original Purchase date. Seeking warranty coverage for 1 year on the unit.Business Response

I purchased a brand new washer and dryer pair for over **** dollars Last March. Just barley over a year old, both appliances ceased to work. I called customer service , as most reputable companies will stand by their products for at least 3 years. I was told that they will not cover the technician. I could be more understanding if only one of the pairs ceased to work, but BOTH the appliances purchased at the same time, breakdown in the same week? I could have went to a thrift store and purchased a used washer and dryer pair for a fraction of the cost and it would have lasted me longer than 12 months! In Jan I purchased a BRAND-NEW stove, and it didn't work from the first night. It took them 5 weeks to resolve the issue. Is this company selling mediocre products for top dollar? The integrity of this company is appalling. I want my **** dollar pruchase repaired. Obviously, I was sold defective product to break down simultaneously. As I write this Ive been on hold with customer service for TWO HOURS.Business Response

We purchased a 27 Double Oven from Frigidaire on 1/21. Which had to be serviced on 07/22 and again on 05/23. During the last tech visit we were informed the unit was assembled without a bolt separating power wires cause all the wires to melt, malfunction, which could have caused an electrical fire throughout the home. When I reached out to inform company about the issue, which another customer stated was on the Consumer Product Safety Report, they advised me my unit was out of warranty, even if sold broken. I was informed that the issue shouldve been acknowledged during the 1st service visit and that there was nothing the company could do outside of a 40% off a new unit discount. They also informed me to reach out to the tech and have him file a complaint. The Tech stated his frustration with the company as well as he stated 3 representatives would not accurately document the issues he discussed concerning wiring and missing piece from the unit. He stated they would not let him supply the pictures as evidence and stated the unit was out of the 1 year warranty.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: *********** isnt addressing the issue of selling a defective unit which an implied warranty would cover compared to a manufacturer warranty of a defective part or breakdown and replacement.Assembling and shipping an oven without parts, if discovered, should be resolved without the consumer asking if they need to pay additional cost of parts that were supposed to be included in the initial product.
Offering me 40% off another product doesnt resolve the issue that the purchase product wasnt assembled correctly, missed a vital component that cased the unit to no longer work within 2 years.
This company doesnt stand behind their product, and believes that the responsibility lies on the the consumer to purchase an additional warranty or new product because of an issue from the manufacturer. If this is a known issue among multiple ovens would this not be covered in a recall? This issue is a major health hazard yet, my resolution is a discount on a new product that could have the same problem.
I would like this issue to be investigated among all double ovens sold from the shipment line of mine and a full refund or replacement with a tech to investigate it because installation.

I am rejecting this response because: *********** is failing to acknowledge the issue. The response was one that doesnt address the issue uncovered by the service tech when they looked at the double oven. The service tech also stated that he called the company 4x and filed two reports regarding the issue of the bolt never being in the unit and the Master tech on the Frigidaire said refused to write the issue down nor review the pictures because of the unit being out of warranty.A warranty or extended warranty wouldnt be justify shipping a defective unit. The limited or extended warranty covers parts that go bad or fail not those that were never installed and shouldve been. The resolution doesnt offer or acknowledge that the factory could be sending faulty equipment out to consumers and not publishing honest reviews when consumers report them. Ive received several responses from my post for the exact issue from the same product.
I would like to have this unit replaced with a service tech present to inspect before installation as this company can not be trusted to ensure the safety of their product and consumers.

I purchased a side by side Frigidaire refrigerator/freezer from ********** in August or September of 2019. Recently the refrigerator stopped cooling. I called to have it repaired and was told the extended warranty expired in August 2022 (of course it would). I made an appointment for a technician from Electrolux to come out and take a look at it. I was charged $105 just to schedule the appointment. The technician came out and said the refrigerator had a sealed system failure and would cost more than $1100 to repair it. I feel this is outrageous. There is no way that a refrigerator that is only 3 1/2 years old should experience such a major issue. Since it is no fault of mine, Frigidaire should consider replacing their faulty appliance. The offered no compensation at all for their ill manufactured product. I've lost food in my refrigerator, time from work and now I will have to go purchase a new refrigerator after only 3 1/2 years. No one should ever purchase any Frigidaire products...ever!!Business Response

My Frigidaire refrigerator (model # FGHS2355PF6B / serial # *********** caught on fire today. Thankfully we were home and it occurred during the day and not while we were sleeping. I was able to unplug the refrigerator before major damage occurred and nobody was hurt. The whole house filled with smoke and the tile in the kitchen/trim behind the refrigerator is black due to the fire. The house stinks of a toxic smell that smells like burnt plastic. After spending over an hour on the phone with Frigidaire to remedy the situation, they told me since the refrigerator is beyond the one year warranty there is nothing they can do. I asked for a reference # and they provided me with # ********. They refused to help with the replacement of the refrigerator or damage to the tile/trim. I am going today to purchase a new refrigerator (which will certainly not be Frigidaire) and I want Frigidaire to reimburse us the cost of our new refrigerator and pay for our tile to be replaced. I cannot wait for to purchase a new refrigerator because my oldest daughter requires medication that has to be kept in the refrigerator. Refrigerators should not catch on fire under any circumstance. This issue certainly goes beyond a "standard 1 year warranty". The supervisor I spoke with said their name was ****** and they worked out of Frigidaire's *********** office.Business Response

I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator in September, 2022 that was supposed to have a one year warranty. When I got a "power outage" message on the panel (with a periodic beep) , I called the company. There are no other power issues in the house. I have gotten nothing but a run around. After endless "conversation" with a machine and being on hold forever, I spoke with a person who told me that a technician from *************************** *************) would come to my home the same day to handle the problem, and that I had to call them re: the time. When I called the Lightning, I was told that they didn't have a Frigidaire referral. I called Frigidaire and after going through the same "machine conversation" and being on hold, I was eventually told that a technician couldn't handle the call until the next week. I advised that I couldn't be without refrigeration for that long, and asked to speak with someone who could get me the help I needed, as I would be without food and couldn't eat food that was spoiled. I eventually spoke with a "supervisor" who identified as **********, explaining that being without food would surely result in my demise. When she nastily repeated that the best repair date was in a couple of days, I literally pleaded for more timely repair and got nothing but a repeat of the delayed service date. I asked to speak with someone who would provide reasonable adherence to the warranty provided. Of course, the request was denied and despite my repeated pleas, ********** abruptly disconnected the call.It seems Frigidaire doesn't stand by its warranty. Therefore, I want my purchase price refunded and reimbursement for the food that has been spoiled.Customer Answer
Date: 05/17/2023
The request for reimbursement for food loss is because of the "power outage" (noted on the panel of the refrigerator), despite any other power loss in the entire house, and the company's refusal to promptly comply with its warranty on the appliance. The longer the "power outage" lasts, the greater the potential loss of the refrigerator contents. Numerous calls to get the company to send a technician to correct the problem has been met with hostile delays, although they don't deny the existence of the warranty..Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
Electrolux has essentially taken no responsibility for this situation. They have not acknowledged or agreed to compensate me for at least the food lost that was further exacerbated by the excessive delay in getting a technician to address the problem. Such lack of action does not support their acknowledgement of responsibility to act consistently, promptly, and honestly related to the warranty that they at least acknowledged. Clearly, their product malfunctioned, and was the cause of damage noted.Business Response

I purchased a 50 pint Frigidaire dehumidifier in 2022. This spring it would not make water. It was in warranty yet this month and I called about it not working. With the case number I received, ********, I sent back on May 8, 2023, via email with all items requested for a warranty replacement. On May 15, ********************************************************************************* but it is only a 35 pint and does not have the pump to run to a drain. When I called Electrolux about the email sending me a smaller unit as a replacement they told me they no longer have 50 pint units available so that is what I get instead of the 50 pint unit. The customer representative also stated the cost is the same for the 35 pint as the 50 pint I purchased which I cannot find that to be true either. What I find is that the 35 pint costs less than what I paid for the 50 pint in 2022. The rep also stated that the 35 pint shipped but I have not received any notice that it has, in which I was supposed to receive an email when shipped. This is not a like unit and I see all sorts of 50 pint Frigidaire units available online. I am getting short changed on the warranty replacement with receiving a smaller unit that is a lesser product than what I purchased originally.Business Response

Date of Purchase: December 8, 2022 Item: Frigidaire Convection/Microwave Oven Model # FGBM15WCVFB Serial # ********** Price: $671 + tax = $771.44 Bought from ******** Appliance (********, **)Problem with Unit: Date: January 6, 2023 Issue: Microwave Convection Oven did not reached the programmed temperature. Reported the problem to ******** Appliance who referred ** to Electrolux. They referred ** to their repair people in ************************************. Repair man came, confirmed problem. PC board was the problem. A week or so later, he picked up the Oven to be repaired. We followed up with Ateliers ******** to inquire when it would be repaired and returned to us. They indicated that the part had been ordered and should arrive in approximately 2 weeks. We followed up again only to be told that Electrolux sent the wrong part. After multiple phone calls we kept being told that Electrolux kept sending the wrong part and therefore more delays. We also called Electrolux multiple times to make them aware of the situation only to be told a different story every time about the item and the delivery. On one of our last calls to Electrolux, we spoke to a gentleman in **************** who knew our file and indicated to us that if an item that has a back order of more than 3 weeks, the unit should be replaced or the customer reimbursed. He advised us that the back order on the part would be over 2 months. He subsequently put in a requisition to have item replaced or customer reimbursed. We finally thought we were coming to some kind of closure on this situation. He said it would probably take **** business days and that we would hear from ******** Appliance. They sent me an email acknowledging it but nothing was ever resolved. We called Electrolux and they advised ** that the requisition to have the item replaced or reimbursed was denied. No reason given except they were going to go with having it repaired. We recently called Ateliers ******** to get an update and they confirmed again that the part ordered was going to take more than 2 months for delivery and no guarantee that it was going solve the problem!!! We bought this item in good faith from ******** Appliance with a 1 year guarantee. We are already into almost 6 months of the guarantee with no use of the Microwave Convention Oven. We have been without the use of this oven since January and this is unacceptable. We need help to get this resolved. We want our money back as we no longer have any confidence in Electrolux. We look forward to a conclusion to this situation and to your response. Thank you.Business Response

I bought a side by side refrigerator from Frigidaire on Sept 2022 and have been having a lot of issues with it. The top shelf is pretty much a trash, I can not put anything there because it will be frozen. I had salad, eggs, cheese, yogurt, milk, coffee even my leftover food, they are as hard as ice and some were not edible anymore! I lose a lot of money from this. I was scheduled for a tech on Friday, and he came suddenly on Thursday and banging my house door. I told him on the phone he is not scheduled today but he insisted to come today on Thursday when no one could open the door. Finally I had my parents in law who live 30 minutes away to open the door for him. He didn't even do anything and only told us that I can not put anything on top shelf. I was mad, I spent $1300 but 1/3 of the fridge I can not even use. The shelves are not adjustable, there is no drawer to keep ham or cheese. The bottom shelf is very dark, no light, the middle shelf is very narrow and dark too, you could have some rotten food in there because you can not see it and hard to reach. I bought this online when my old fridge from the same brand broke. On their description and pictures on lowes.com, everything looked normal. They did not say anything about the top shelf problem until we got it. They hide it very well. I tried to contact live chat, no respond, even after the virtual assistant asked and got my info. Nobody answer the phone either. The technician(s) is useless. I had a fridge from Frigidaire and it was great for 13 years. But this new one is absolutely a scam product. Most of my appliances are from Frigidaire too, but with this issue, I will not buy anything from this brand ever again. I am pretty much being scammed with this. I need someone from this company to contact me or at least try to do something. I want to return this big junk and get my money back, so I can buy a decent refrigerator that does not destroy my food.Business Response
