Bought upright freezer in August 2021 for almost $900. In December 22 started having problem with alarm going off telling me the unit wasn't working properly & unit started icing up. Unplugged unit for several days to manually defrost to solve problem. After about the 3rd time in 6 weeks doing this & risk losing thousands of dollars in food, I looked up Frigidaire certified repair facility to look at my unit. They came out & stated there was a "service bulletin" on this unit for 'evap fan icing over' I had to spend ANOTHER $515.38 to repair this known issue. I understand the unit was out of warranty but if it is a known issue then it should be covered to some extent.Business Response

I purchased a Fridgedaire range off of Amazon in October of 2022. I am single and have used the range maybe 6 times. I set it on self clean one evening and long story short the main heating element burned up. If I would not have been home the range would have caught fire. I the contacted *********** and a tech was sent out 2 weeks later and determined the range was unrepairable. I have now been without a range for going on 2 months and *********** keeps putting me off wanting the place I purchased the Range from. I examined to them NUMEROUS NUMEROUS TIMES I purchased it from Amazon but the seller was Giant Appliance in ********. I have contacted them also concerning this and I continue to get the same run around. I also have contacted the Attorney General concerning this and have given all parties all the info I have. They keep wanting an original reciept and I financed the range through AFFIRM. I did get all the information from AFFIRM ALSO and gave everything to ALL parties. I just want a new Range. I have a case number with Fridgedaire it is ********. I also have a case number through AFFIRM ********. I want a new Range I paid ******* for it and can't use it. On April 17th, I contacted Frigidaire regarding a dehumidifier I purchased that had an issues with coils freezing up (a common issue with this model. The representative I spoke with could not have been more helpful. He advised the company would send a replacement dehumidifier once I sent in paperwork (model #, receipt and a completed document with their offer. I sent this as requested via email onApril 17th and called on April 18th to confirm receipt. The agent confirmed the company received the document and I would be receiving a replacement unit within 5 to 7 business days. I was also advised I would be receiving a shipping confirmation within a couple of days. 5 days later, with no communication, I called asking for an update. I was advised the request was approved and the unit was in transit but they did not have the shipping info and would be emailed this information. Once again, no communication was received over several days so I called again. Same story, unit shipped to my address yet nobody has any shipping details. Now after 8 calls and 5 chats I keep getting told the unit is in transit but still no shipment details. On 3 occasions agents have advised they were escalating my case to a supervisor who would be calling my back (3x no calls or emails from anyone). At this point I have no idea if this offer was legitimate or if I am being scammed. Very disappointing as I have purchased many Frigidaire products in the past and their customer service was always excellent. Hopeful for resolving this but I have very little faith at this pointBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because:
This is now the 2nd time I am filing report. In May, after filing my most recent report, I received a replacement dehumidifier due to the unit experiencing freezing coils. Now the replacement unit is doing the same thing as my previous dehumidifier. The bottom 1/3 of the coils freeze up making the unit not perform correctly. At this point I would either like a different/newer model (without customer complaints of this issue) sent to me or refund me the expense for the original unit. I am hopeful this issue will be handled as well as the last as the representative Electrolux was outstanding and very responsiveBusiness Response

I bought a fridge 11/28/2022.The bottom shelf was freezing food so I called and they said to raise the temperature of the fridge as a first step. It kept freezing food so I called again and they said a technician would come. They gave me a 5 hour opening window so I stayed at home to wait for them and they never showed up. I called and they apologized and rescheduled after a week. Technician came finally and he said that it depended on the ventilation holes between the freezer and the fridge and he put some tape on it. He said that if it kept freezing food I should have taped the other hole too. I told him it didnt look right to me and he said that thats their policy and that I should have called customer service. I did, I told them that a brand new and expensive fridge should have not have these kind of issues and that I cannot have just some tape put on the ventilation holes to fix the problem. There is a reason why there are those holes and I dont want to have a bigger issue later on, when the warranty expires. They said I was right and asked me if they could send another technician to evaluate the situation. I agreed of course. After a week THE SAME technician showed up ( he was supposed to show up before 12:00 and he showed up at 2pm without even informing about the delay. In fact, I had to call to figure out what was going on) and said that he would have replaced a piece. The fridge keeps freezing food so I called and told them it is unacceptable that for the third time a technician has to come out here and meanwhile the food gets bad and I have, every time, to be stuck at home for so long to wait for him. They said that most likely the third time is just to realize that they will replace the whole fridge. They set the appointment between 12:00 and 5pm the next day. Technician called at 3:30pm saying that their phone line was down and that most likely they are gonna agree just to tape the vents again and he would come out another day. I am active duty military (31 years) and purchased 5 new appliances in May 2021 for a home I rent. After multiple issues with the fridge over 5-6 months, Frigidaire replaced the fridge. So this was 5 months that the tenant didn't have an operational fridge. The replacement (Oct 2021) also doesn't work and has been serviced multiple times, to include March 15 2023. The Frigidaire technician who was last at the home said if the compressor replacement (on a new Fridge) didn't work then the entire thing needed to be replaced. I am incredibly dissatisfied with their product and customer service.Business Response

We purchased a Frigidaire 30 Gallery Convection Oven Freestanding Induction Range from Electronic Express on 02/10/2023. We asked if we had any issues with the range, and Electronic Express told to ** contact the manufacturer. Electronics Express did not advise of their 30-day return policy. After a few days, we discovered that the oven would not maintain selected oven temperature. We contacted Frigidaire. It was almost 2 weeks before they could get a service call scheduled. They sent Technician A from ****************. He spoke with my husband who explained the issue. Technician A acted like he knew what was wrong. He said we needed a part and he would order it. 2 weeks later Technician B returned with the part. Technician B installed the part. Technician B also said that Technician A should ordered have a ** Board, too. Technician B was also in a hurry to get to his next appointment, so he did not wait for the oven to come up to the selected temperature. My husband contacted Frigidaire again because we still had the issue with the oven temperature. Again, 2 weeks later Technician A returned for the 3rd service call. He had to re-inspect the range. He said another part called the ** Board was something that he should have ordered the first time he came. He told my husband it would be another 2 weeks before the part would arrive. However, it was less than a week before Easter and annual Easter dinner for a houseful of people. My husband told Technician A that time frame would not work, Technician A said he had no control over that and to contact Doctor ********************** main office. My husband contacted the main office and spoke with a woman who said they would order the part but could not guarantee arrival or service call before Easter. My husband called them several times over a few days about the part but they have yet to return his call. We still do not have a functioning stove.Business Response

Our dishwasher stopped working on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. On April 10, 2023, we called Frigidaire to have our dishwasher repaired as it is still under 1 year old and has a warranty. One month later, we are still waiting for Frigidaire to honor their warranty. Had we known the warranty would be ignored by this company, we would never have purchased the appliance. We never had a repair person come to our home. Frigidaire issued a return authorization for a replacement dishwasher, but we still have not received confirmation that a replacement is on the way, or even ordered. I have called Frigidaire numerous times and I have logged hours of waiting on hold to have this matter resolved. I am disgusted by how Frigidaire treats their customers.Business Response

We purchased a Frigidaire about 6 years and about a year ago weve been having issues with it keeping cool. The issue had resolved and its been working fine until now. The refrigerator remains at a temperature of 50 degrees or higher which is unsafe for the food in there. We contacted an authorized Frigidaire service company and were told that 4 parts need to be replaced. We understand with normal wear and tear a part might need to be replaced after some time, but feel that having 4 no functioning parts is more of a faulty system. We contacted Frigidaire customer service and requested assistance with price of parts. They offered 30 percent but two of the parts are not in stock until may 28. I asked for a bigger credit on compressor and we would buy parts locally since the authorized distributor has them in stock. They refused. I purchased a Frigidaire dehumidifier from HomeDepot.com on 6 May 2022. It started displaying an error code and shutting down a couple months ago. I followed the manuals directions to reset and it would work a while and shut down again. Finally on 4 May 2023 I notified Frigidaire that the unit was defective. I provided further information they requested and on 5 May 2022 I got a return email on 5 May 2023 saying I was going to be sent a new/other unit as replacement within 10 days. I called on 9 May 2023 for a status update and was told the warranty request was denied because the unit was out of warranty when I reported the failure to them. Clearly a unit bought on 6 May 2022 is still within the 1 year warranty on 4 May 2023.Business Response
