My family was sitting ** our living room when we heard glass shattering. My mother and I walked into the kitchen to discover the glass on the oven door had exploded. When I called frigidaire customer service I was told it was outside the 1 year warranty and there was nothing that could be done. However, it has been reported in the news that many other people who have the same make and model have recently had the glasses on their oven door explode for no reason.Business Response

I purchased my refrigerator in July 2022. ** November the freezer began to not freeze ice, ice cream, and fresh meat. I began running my freezer on high instead of factory setting. I called Frigidaire multiple times to try and get someone to come and look at it. After my appointment being cancelled twice, a service person came in February. He checked the freezer and said that he couldn't see anything wrong with it. I should turn it back down to factory settings. I did and bought fresh meat. It did not freeze after two days of being in the freezer. I tried contacting the store where I bought the fridge but they just said that it was under warranty and I should contact fridgidaire. So once again I tried calling the warranty customer service department. After a wait on the phone it says that because of high call volume they cannot take my call at this time and hangs up. The chat feature does not work and and I cannot get through to a person at all. I want this taken care of before my warranty runs out.Business Response

Frigidaire refrigerator, after 10 months freezer stoped cooling, so repair man replace compressor. 2 month later the same thing happen, they determined it was not repairable. Call company they sent out another repair man, he also said not repairable. Called many times and get the runaround, store called also. They refuse to replace the refrigerator. They keep saying more time is needed to resolve this issue. We called tech support with a case number, but no answer from them. They did say about replacing it, but still no word.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The compressor on the refrigerator went out on the 10 month, repair replace the compressor as instructed by your tech support. After problem came back with HI freezer part. Repair guy came out again and recharge the compressor. It worked another month and again failed. So this is why We are asking for it to be replaced since no repair can fix it. Store plus another servive company agrees it non repairable. Both believe a small leak inside the refrigerator.
Why is this acceptable to you and your company on a product thats has a one year warranty? And this went out on the 10 month. I purchased this from a dealer who does their repair work, they have a newer version of this refrigerator and said this newer one has all problems fixed from the model I got. But they wont trade until they get word from you guys.Business Response

Purchased a new Frigidaire fridge for my mom in Dec 2021. She is 81 and on a very fixed income. Took her for her monthly groceries on 4/16. On 4/21 she realized her fridge is completely out. Everything in it and the freezer is lost. 4/21 spend 45 minutes on the phone with service. Finally given an appointment for 4/24. No one shows up. Another 45/50 mins on the phone to find out the appointment was moved to Wednesday because they have no service person in our area. No one notified **. So the service guy come Wednesday. By the way that is the only thing they having going for them. ****** was very nice and helpful. ************** went bad which he said should not have happened in less than a year and half. So he ordered the board and sets up an appointment for 5/2 between ****. Again no one shows. Spend another 45 minutes on the phone to find out that they changed 5e appointment from 8-5. So 4 pm ****** comes and fixes it. He apologized because he was scheduled for **** but the company moved the appointment. I want the $300 worth of food my mother loss refunded to her and the $300 I spend for this repair refunded to ** as well. We will never buy a Frigidaire product again. The customer service is awful. A great deal of time and money wasted.Business Response

We bought a Frigidaire side by side 6 mos ago & started having problems with the fan in the freezer due to water leaking in the back of the panel on the fan.8 tech visits, 1 visited 3 times in which he said he will not deem the frig unrepairable.The tech advised that there is no part to be ordered, so they want to use aluminum tape made for duct work. Refrigerators have filtration systems for a reason.i cant allow you to use a chemical bond material that water will run thru. Eventually tape gives & pieces of aluminum will be in the ********** would not know. Tech said this is what Frigidaire told them to do.I rejected the idea of the using tape so he left.I'm left still without an ice machine for the past 2 mos.The tech came again & took it upon his self to fabricate a piece from someone else old parts(covid still exist).According to Frigidaire the parts are supposed to be "CERTIFIED PART FROM A MANUFACTURED DISTRIBUTOR".Well he fabricated one & said it could be repaired. How? Tech wants me to use a piece not order but fabricated out of and from God knows where. Where did it come from, part was dirty, oily & he pulled it out of his tool bag.Tried calling Frigidaire while tech was in my home but was on hold for an hour. He left, still ice maker gone unrepaired. Every time I call, they need to send a master tech because tech wont deem not fixable so they will not replace it.If they had a part to repair it we are fine but you will not boot leg a brand new refrigerator to satisfy you and not the customer. this fridge was not cheap. Spoken to several customer service ***************** & keep getting thrown back at square 1. I have been given several ref. # which are no use because they always come with they could not locate my complaint until i press the issue regarding the ref#'s. I have missed 8 to 9 days of pay because of this issue &can not afford to miss another day. not sure how many more techs needs to visit. Resolution needs to happen ASAP.Business Response

Purchased dishwasher on 02/09/23 installed 02/11/23 . Dishwasher broke, overflowed and flooded kitchen on 03/08/23 Initially Frigidaire requested I unplug to "reset" it and then try again. Overflowed again. Frigidaire had me contact the local approved appliance service store. ***************. ******************** refused initially to come to my location. After another call and long wait with Frigidaire and contacting through messenger on ******** was able to get Gold to agree to come out on 03/13/23. They identified it was not working correctly and ordered several parts. It's now been almost 2 months and still waiting on parts. Very frustrated with the lack of response from Frigidaire and that my kitchen was flooded multiple times by a new dishwasher, I have reached out to Golds and Frigidaire multiple times and each time they advise to keep waiting they are still getting the parts. The initial seller ********* has also not provided any assistance. I think we have waited more than long enough and Frigidaire should eithe refund my purchase price of $579 Plus tax or provide and install a replacement dishwasher.Business Response

We recently rebuilt our home after a house fire and decided to use Frigidaire. We went with Induction cooktop. We loved it for the brief time that it worked. A few months after we moved in, approximately 6 months after initial purchase the main center burner stopped working. There was the first call to customer service with no help. Then another burner stopped working. We then began to call and use the text line until we finally got a reference number. The first few times I was told to reset it by unplugging it. A service tech came out, said we needed 2 parts to fix the issue, they should arrive within a week and he was rescheduled for 2 weeks out. The parts arrived but the service tech was cancelled and customer service once again had no answer. We then received a letter stating their only resolution was to purchase the unit back from ** at our original price a year ago. The offer doesn't include taxes, shipping/handling or installation. Your company did not offer to replace the said unit that was under warranty. The warranty stated "Electrolux will pay all cost for repairing or replacing", see small excerpt. However now they will not honor their own warranty and expect me not only to take a loss on the current unit with my taxes and other costs not being covered, but it will cost more now to replace the unit with a similar one, as prices have gone up. Their customer service supervisor today was no help in trying to resolve the issue and would only state that was all they could do, take it or leave it. She admitted she couldn't make a decision anyway as that came from their resolution department that I couldn't speak with. She would not even acknowledge their own warranty before admitting she worked for a contracted call center and couldn't directly speak with Frigidaire/Electrolux. So how do you get an actual issue resolved? It is ridiculous to have an appliance for only a few months before it becomes non-functioning and the business not honor warranty.Business Response

I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator (model # FFTR2045VB) at a furniture store complete with warranty at a cost of around $800. Date of purchase was 11/14/2022. The refrigerator stopped working around March 20, 2023 at which time I attempted to make contact with Frigidaire through their ************************************************************ so I used the chat. They attempted to find a technician to repair the unit, but unfortunately, they could not locate a technician in our area, so the next step was for the agent to put in a request for replacement which is then sent to the back office and requires **** working days for approval. There after each time we make contact with the agent they just repeat the process of sending the request to the back and the waiting begins again. I made contact with another of their agents yesterday, got the same thing, "I will send it the back office, and you will receive a response in ***** hours". At this time we are using a large ice chest to keep things cool, but have to replenish the ice every couple of days. The agents just keep apologizing, but have no clue of what's on in the back office.On their website it states: At Frigidaire, we are committed to getting you a quick and effective solution. Hi, I am an extremely frustrated Frigidaire and Lowes customer! My husband and I bought a new house is ********* with a brand new Frigidaire refrigerator in it. The refrigerator leaked as of the first day. Your technicians came three times within three weeks and every time declared the refrigerator as fixed. But the leak continued. The fourth technician in the fourth week, said that not only the line to the water dispenser is broken but the heater in the ice maker is broken as well and it is unrepairable. The following three weeks I have been trying to get you guys to send a Replacement Authorization to Lowes so that we can get a new refrigerator. We currently have model GRFG2353A. The model we want Frigidaire to approve for ** is GRFC2353AF. The difference between this one and the one we currently have is that this model has the water and ice dispenser outside the door. Currently they both are the same price. In our current refrigerator, both the water dispenser inside the door and the ice maker inside the freezer were broken. Therefore we dont want the exact same model.I have called you a total of 9 times, each time being on hold for about ***** minutes and one representative named ****** told me that we are approved for the model we want. That was three weeks ago!!! Since than ********************* and *********************************** of Lowes have been waiting for an email from you that has the following info :1) Correct purchase date of the refrigerator we currently have (8/30/22)2) correct model number of the refrigerator we currently have (GRFG2353A)3) correct model of the refrigerator we would like to have (GRFC2353AF) Pls send Lowes the above stated info ASAP. 7 weeks is long enough!Business Response

Purchased Fridgidaire Gallery dishwasher from Lowes home improvement on February 3, 2023. The machine throws an error code .20 and stops washing about 60 minutes in to 90 minute cycle. I have contacted Fridgidaire customer service at ************ on several occasions. I have scheduled 5 appointments. The 1st appoint was March 9 and technician did not repair dishwasher. The 2nd appointment was March 28 and technician did not show. Turns out that that technician from AA appliance repair is located in ***************** located over 400 miles away and Noone realized until after appointment. The 3rd appointment was for April 6 and again no show/no call. The 4th appointment was April 27 again no show. The 5th appointment was April 28. The technician did show and believe he fixed the dishwasher but shortly after he left it broke down again. I have called and called but usually I spend over 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours holding or trying to learn why I am having so much trouble getting this dishwasher which is still under warranty repaired. I am estimating that between waiting to speak to customer service or waiting for a technician to show up, I have spent close to 40 hours of my time.Business Response
