1 star** *** ******** **** ******* **** ***** ******* *** ****** *** ***** ******* * **** **** ***** ***** I purchased all my windows, patio door and front door January 2022. The job is still not completed!
I was promised an install date of late April beginning of May. Received call from Jennifer Copeland indicating that my install was going to be the end of July. When I informed her of the date I was promised she told me that was never going to happen.
I received an install of end of June. Was told it would take 1 - 1/2 days with a crew of 5. Never had 5 installers on site. Took out large window in bedroom without having new window to install. Had to sleep for 2 nights with plastic over the window. Job took 3 days with numerous deficiencies. My order indicated that all window treatments would fit back on to new windows. None of them fit. Had to wait until November without anything on my windows except paper blinds I had to purchase.
In total I probably dealt with 10 different people. No one ever returns calls or emails. It's impossible to reach anyone until they want money. ******* ** ******* ** ***** ******** *** ************** I have had to take numerous days off work to accommodate visits to measure window treatments, install window treatments, install broken handles, damaged screens, melted caulking, damaged trim, filthy windows and job is still not done. The screen for the patio which was supposed to be included on last visit became damaged in the warehouse. Miranda called for balance on account. I told her I would pay but perhaps a discount was warranted. She talked over me and said no as they had to pay for my blinds to be cut which was their fault in the first place! I called to pay balance to just put an end to this disaster as my screen for the patio was being installed on March 10th. Since the balance isn't paid which is about $3900 on an over $30k job she cancelled the service call and is threatening to charge interest!Review fromLisa M

1 star* ***** ***** ***** ** **** ****** ******** once they have your order you are on your own. Zero communication, and hope that you won’t need service to the windows because that is like pulling teeth….again no communication you have to keep calling etc and then they send you an email instead of calling you in person to explain the situation. I have had an open repair order since September 2022. I totally regret my decision to purchase windows and doors with company. ***** ***** *** **** ******* ********Review fromDerrick O

1 starI had a home built, the windows took several months longer than I was told they would take, and when installed, the quality is extremely poor. They leak wind, they are coming apart inside, they have different tints, (green tinted windows next to clear tint) and at least one of them gets moisture between the glass panes. I have been trying to get them to even return my emails, i have a warranty claim number and had gotten several automated return emails frim them but the last one was a year ago. They have not responded in a year to me.no return phone calls. The guys at ********** were the ones who talked me into these windows and I regret that decision. I will be trying to pursue legal action for these things that are perhaps better than a piece of plexiglas taped into the window openings of my house but are most definitely not worth what they costReview fromBefh S.

1 starI got new siding from Ply Gem in 2013. 2016 the siding had gotten worse of fading. In 2018 I had enough of the fading because it was just getting worse and worse. I reached out to Ply Gen Class and requested a piece of siding to be sent back so he took it off the house sent it back. got a letter stating there was nothing wrong with it. Then we sent out another piece to them and they sent it back half clean, showing that it was a cleaning issue, and that we had to clean the house by hand with their recipe solution. I reached out to Ply Gem For Siding and told him that this was not the issue and that the siding was badly faded. Meantime I had the company we purchased from ***** ****** come out and look at it and he stated that yes there’s definitely an issue with the siding and that he would have a Ply Gem rep come out to look at it. Never heard from them again. Ply Gem never reached out to us about the siding except for the letters they sent back stating that they weren’t standing behind the warranty that they advertised. My lawyer had sent a letter to ***** ****** my contractor along with Ply Gem For Siding and the people that we were dealing with at Ply Gem never heard a response from no one don’t buy the siding. I beg you don’t buy this siding this company does not stand behind their product or warranty. If you only could see my siding from 2000 to now it’s horrible now I have to pet spend $16,000 to replace it and it definitely will not be Ply Gem.Review fromdavid A.

1 starWe have had Ply Gem windows in our home for over 20 years and they have performed well during that time. Last year I noticed that 2 of the double pain windows had broken seals as evidence of fogging as appeared between the panes. Ply Gem advertises a lifetime warranty so November 28, 2022 I went to the website, submitted the claim including all appropriate pictures and documentation they required. I get no response from the company other than a computer generated note saying my claim is being processed and I will be contacted. 2 weeks pass and I hear nothing. I phone Ply Gem, they tell me my claim will be "elevated" whatever that means. Another 2 weeks pass, no word. It is now January, I call again. The customer rep says they are working on warranty claims from October and have not gotten to mine yet, but they will keep me informed. I call again the first week of Feb. The customer rep says they are still processing claims from October, but said he would call me back in a day or 2 with a status update. It is now mid February and I have yet to receive a call from anyone at Ply Gem. What a frustrating process! It is too much to ask to have a rep call you back with some type of update?? Apparently it is for Ply Gem. Worthless customer service!!Review fromEric F.

1 starWe purchased a new home in 2017 that was built with Ply Gem windows. In late 2021 the glass in the one of the two sliding vents in large windows in the living room began to separate and bow from the vinyl frame. I tried several times to file a warranty claim, online and by phone, with the company in November 2021. Even though I had a claim number assigned, when I subsequently called the company to check on the claim I was told that there was no record of my claim. I finally asked a representative of the builder - Meritage - to intervene, I was finally to establish that a warranty claim had been entered into the Ply Gem system on January 24, 2022. Ply Gem designated a local window installer to handle the repair/replacement. The installer came to inspect the failed window, took measurements, and said that they would place an order for the vent. In April 2022, they returned with the replacement vent. The unit that they received was three inches too short, and approximately two inches too narrow. The installer said that they would reorder the vent and do what they could to expedite the reorder. As of February 15, 2023 we are still waiting for the replacement unit, and the installer which had initially been helpful and responsive has ceased returning our calls. We are not expecting to ever see this replacement window and have decided to replace this window (and several others that are showing signs of similar deterioration) with windows from a reputable manufacturer. Ply Gem produces inferior products does not back up its warranties. *********************** should steer clear of Ply Gem windows!Review fromHolman M

1 starWe have been in our home a little over 8 years. We have had 6 Plygem windows replaced due to seal failures. We have submitted a warranty request for 4 more, including one that was replaced 3 years ago. Would be interested to know if any one else has had the same experience.I am also concerned that I submitted a warranty request for the newly failed windows some time ago and have received no response.Review fromDavid F

4 starsPlease ensure not to pay the final installment until you verify that all the work is completed
We had shortlisted Brock Windows for our upstairs bedroom and washroom windows upgrade project as they provided the most competitive pricing and features. We had a very good experience with the marketing team and also the installation team. However, there is a huge disconnect with the follow-up and maintenance team. They don't respond to emails and are almost impossible to get through on the phone. There was some issue with one of the window handles being mismatched and one of the window's locks was broken also caulking around the windows was not done. I had signed off on a piece of paper that the installation team presented to me after they finished their work. Apparently, that was the authorization to take the final payment. Big mistake. Long story short, I had to initiate a complaint with the Ontario Ministry for consumer protection in order to get them to do the follow-up work which was finally done after almost 2 months. So although they provide a good warranty, I'm not sure how well they will honor it. Overall, the windows' quality, features and pricing were very good, but not confident at all about the warranty.
So please keep in mind if you are going with them, to ensure that all the work is completed

2 starsWhat a disappointment! When the salesman came, we discussed the windows I needed & he looked at all of them. I was looking for a half decent price, after writing the contract he nonchalantly asked if I wanted to keep the existing frames I assumed they meant the trim. He apparently made the contract as a retrofit, without telling me that's what he was doing. He didn't bother to give me a choice to have a retrofit or have full brick to brick & replace trim. He didn't bother to give both costs so I would a choice. A good salesman would say that when doing a retrofit that the trim could get damaged. Instead let's not say anything. While being installed I called to rep that was assigned to me to tell them that the trim was being damaged & I took pictures. She explained if I wasn't happy after the installation that I can call and she would ask the manager what can be done. Now I get a call from accounting asking me to pay or it will go to collections. I said I wanted to speak to the manager first but she was very blunt pay first or it will go to collections. Definitely not impressed with this company, their salesman nor their accounting dept. The accounting department asks me what credit I wanted & I said 10%, & promptly said I can give you a credit of $250 & not 10%. Yes I signed the contract but without knowing or realizing it was going to be a retrofit. I'm sure the salesman knew that the trim would get damaged but didn't think it was important to tell me. They replace the trim at no cost and give a discount on shawdy salesmanship. **** ***************
