New window installed may 2022. July 2022 came home from being away with the family to huge chucks of glass all over the couch. The inside glass (double pane) had failed miserably. Good thing no one was around and got hurt. Was finally able to get a hold of someone at ply gem in December of 2022. They told me that they emailed me in November to fill out some information. I asked them how is that possible if I never gave them my email. No where on the warranty claim was my email. They was emailing someone completely distant. They had my phone number, but never bothered to call me. After getting that figured out, I sent them the pictures they asked for. It only took them 3 days to reply. The reply was only to deny my claim. They stated that the inside pane "looks impacted" . The broken/loose glass was cleaned up as best as I can the day I found all the sharp shards on my couch. It took them about 5 months to reply to anything. The outer pane is still in good condition. They told me that any impact on the outer pane is not covered by warranty. That's fine but the damage is on the inside. Apparently they don't cover anything at all, even, brand new 2 month old windows.

Worst company I have ever delt with. The sliding glass door I ordered was completely defective and their customer service is lacking any sort of professionalism, courtesy or compassion for clients. I ordered the door 13 months ago and after 4 replacements it's still defective. The **************** Manager I delt with took weeks to respond to any of my calls or emails and most of the time never responded. I caught them in multiple lies as well. They delivered four defective sliding glass doors and wasted 13 months of my time. Two of the doors were bowed and did not close properly and we're missing parts, the screen and the door handle was scratched. The third door was a foot too big and their own service techs are the ones that took the measurements. After the third door, they agreed to replace the entire unit because it was bowed and letting air and light in. After 3 months of waiting, they arrived with the entire unit and only replaced the moving door. So of course it was still bowed and not closing properly and making a loud click when closing and sticking most of the time. This also caused the lock to not engage. The service tech had the nerve to say this was normal and to wait until MARCH for it to resolve itself. The fourth door also has a scratch on the handle. They originally said they would replace the whole unit and then changed their story saying they don't do that and only replaced parts. Then why would you order and deliver the whole unit??

We built our house with J**** **** Properties in 2013-14. Since then we have had the seal bust on almost every single window in our house (15+ windows). In 2016 it took months to get someone to help me replace the windows, and when I finally received them, learned that Ply Gem would not do any of the labor, and we were responsible for the labor ourselves. Replacing the upper panes is extremely dangerous (glass literally has to be knocked out; there is no safe/neat way to replace them). Our replacement windows have run out, and we now have 5 other windows that need replacing because the seal burst, and in some cases, a SECOND time. This is absolutely unacceptable, and I regret our builder ever used this company. In the past, their customer service was very poor, and I'm not spending months chasing them down again to get the windows replaced. I need the windows replaced immediately, and someone to come out and replace the top panes, as it is dangerous for me to do this myself. Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about this company and their product.

Warranties can be initiated on our website ** *************************************************************** and coverage is determined based on the product line installed in the home. Glass should never be broken to be replaced and should be completed by a window or glass expert. Most window installers are familiar with replacing glass as are glass replacement services, which vary by location of the home.

We took the time to submit our warranty claim on the Ply Gem website this morning, including taking the time to take photos of all the windows in our house that are broken (7) and when we submitted the claim, we got a "sad face" error message and no confirmation that it was submitted. This was not an error message that said I had filled out something incorrectly, etc. I feel like your windows and the warranty process are a total scam. Someone please contact me immediately to fix this issue. I've resized the photos to upload, taken the photos asked of me, and submitted the labels and order # information. I see no reason why I'm getting this error message and I'm super frustrated.

We bought a home in June 2021. The previous (original) owner submitted a warranty request to PlyGem prior to the sale for a number of windows. The request was approved. We have been waiting a year and a half for PlyGem to honor their lifetime warranty. We have sent multiple requests for updates through their warranty system and get no replies at all. Very disappointed.

Worst investment I ever made. I paid over $40,000 to replace all my windows and patio door. I was sold that ******* gas triple pane glass was the best option. Cold air coming off my windows is just as bad as my old builder installed windows. The patio door install is worst. I can feel a cold breeze coming for the door all winter. They came back 3 times to look at the door claiming leak is because it was not level. *** ******* Sent their best guy… useless. Patio door is horrible. * ** ***** ** ** ** ******** ** *** ** **** ****** ***** ***** **** ***** ** *****

The seal broke in one of the windows in my three year old home. I filed a claim and was told to expect to hear from a representative in thirty days. Thirty days later I received another email asking me to be patient. I called customer service and was told to expect to be contacted within two weeks. Four weeks have passed and I've yet to be contacted.
I've never experienced such poor customer service in the past. Very disappointing.

I am very very disappointed with Plygem residential windows. The window construction quality? Absolutely horrible. They may work with you to get you a different window? But the replacement won't come in any better condition than the previous; 1/16" air gaps in frame joints because they were insufficiently pressed together, scratched glass, bird c*** gloppy caulking, drooping and misaligned air spacers, and the bottom of the crank opening lever housing is completely unfinished leaving silver metal where there should be matching white. In short? EXPENSIVE C*** QUALITY WINDOWS * BUYER BEWARE *

New construction all windows are Ply Gem. Noticed top half of bedroom window has lost its seal. Lost seal has 20 year warranty and window is 4 years old. Filed a warranty complaint and have received emails since June stating they're working on it. After reading the reviews it appears PG has no intention of ever processing my warranty complaint. Horrible company customer service and crapy windows.

My last Warranty Claim was a fruitless near 11 months. After the acceptance of my claim (with photos and ******* report), I spent almost ************************************************************************************************ production, etc. At the end my local ******* installed a low e, double pane window in 8 days and I canceled my claim.
