This company is terrible! The last time we had service was July 9th. They keep saying they will come get our garbage but no one ever does. We've had nothing but issues since they took over Waste Industries. Do NOT use this company, use a local trash service company.GFL Environmental

Signed up for a service & paid for 4 months upfront as they required a full month early. They never picked up for 2 weeks so canceled a service. Now going on for 3 weeks since the cancellation but they will not pick up their trash can. Called them 2 times & emailed 2 more times. Most unprofessional business I ever dealt with. My husband even tried to get pick up guys to take the trash can and they refused last week. This week as they passed our house those guys gave middle finger towards my husband’s home office window. No company operates this way.GFL Environmental

HORRIBLE company! I live in an apartment community. They are supposed to come Tuesdays and Fridays. Last week (not the first time in the year I have lived here) they did not come at all. We average 90+ degrees per day. This is 6 dumpsters full of trash filled to the max. This morning, the stupid driver pulls up, checks out all the dumpsters and gets back in his truck and drives away! Oh hell no!!! Not even acceptable. We have had a broken dumpster for over 3 months. I have notified them and my property management company has notified them. They continue to NOT enply the dumpster OR replace the fact that it is broken. I called GFL, was on hold for 11 minutes and proceeded to unleash. I was assured dispatch would send the truck back today. I told them if they did not come back by 5pm I would be notifying my news channels and blasting them everywhere I could. We all pay for services by this company and they continually take advantage of customers. If you cannot run a business, then dont!! Plenty of negative reviews here and on FB. This is proof they are a horrible organization.GFL Environmental

I was driving on the right most lane on Hwy *** and a large GFL truck (ID ****) tried to overtake me from the left side. As his engine block barely surpassed me, he cuts into my lane. I honked the horn but he just ignores me and continue to push into my lane. I was forced off the highway and onto the shoulder lane.
It was a 30-wheel truck, so it was massive. If he clips my car, I would have been dead. Or if I lost control of my vehicle due to dodging the GFL truck, I would have been in a serious collision.
GFL was operating extremely dangerously. Someone need to investigate their driving practices before they kill people.GFL Environmental

GFL Environmental are allowing the recycling to be thrown away with the trash. They charge for Garbage disposal and they charge extra for recycling pickup and give you a can for trash and a can for recycling but for MONTHS I've saw the trash truck come through our neighborhood and throw EVERYTHING (RECYCLING AND TRASH) in to ONE TRUCK! The recycling truck doesn't even bother coming through our neighborhood anymore. When I confronted the trash truck driver about why he has throwing the recycling in with the trash when I pay extra and take the time and effort to separate my recycling items from the trash I was given a few surprising explanations why this is happening. He said the first is because it saves them time and fuel so I reminded him my bill just increased to cover the rise in fuel prices so then he said GFL owns the landfill where they dump and at the end of the day the drivers have been told by the "Higher Up's" at GFL to just dump the recycling directly into the landfill with the trash. In his words "There is no need to separate because it's all going in the landfill" So I said but I pay extra for recycling services every month and GFL offers the service, so why offer it and charge gor it but lie and not do what you say your gonna do?? He said GFL doesn't care. All that will happen is GFL will be fined for not recycling properly and because they are a 6.1 BILLION DOLLAR company they will pay whatever fine and keep doing whatever they wanna do. GFL has bought up so many companies (they are in almost 30 states now in the US) and taken over the market in so many areas. How can this continue?? They are making money hand over fist and lieing and cheating the American people. While doing a little research into GFL recently I found that they are most definitely tied to organized crime (The Canadian Mob to be exact) The CEO has been seen going on family vacations with the head of the Canadian Mob. It's truly unbelievable! SOMETHING MUST BE DONE! THIS CANT CONTINUE!GFL Environmental

Once GFL began purchasing other garbage disposal companies, it's been nothing but a headache in getting our trash picked up on our set days.
Now, they have sent out notices and mail stating they are doing the best they can with switching over and we now have new trash days along with new recycling days. I had hope!
The night before trash day we had a terrible rain storm. I had hope!!
So come Trash Day....nothing!! I saw trucks in and around my neighborhood but according to fellow neighbors their trash was also left behind.
I write this 2 days after our trash day, with unanswered calls with over an hour hold time. no reply to emails or website inquiries. with trash cans still at the curb & still not picked up

I cancelled my service via website on July 11,2022. 3 weeks later I get a bill in the mail for double the amount show as due online. They even charged me for recycling. We've never had recycling services.

They miss pickups for weeks, make promises to pick them up, and then don't show up. I've called customer service four times and have spent hours on the phone (because it takes 30+ minutes to get through) to no avail. Paying for a service I don't receive. Avoid at all costs.GFL Environmental
